I started out with a set of Ben Hogan Apex Plus irons. Irons played okay but lacked distance and accuracy. My brother had me try his set of Mizuno MP-14 and I was amazed. These irons gave me the distance and flag attacking accuracy I was looking for. I bought a set and my short game was on fire! Then one day I thought I would try something different so I traded the Mizuno irons for a set of Titleist Forged 681 Blades. These took a long time to get used to but were very, very accurate when attacking 150 yards in. The only problem is I lost about 5-10 yards compared to the Mizuno MP-14's. Just recently I was able to find a new set of MP-14's for $499 at Fairway Golf and finally broke 90. The Titleist blades are breat but if you want distance, accuracy, feel, and looks I would grab a set of MP-14's!

I purchased these irons over 5 years ago and enjoyed them, for the most part, for over 3 years. Thereafter, I fell into the "tech craze" and played pretty much everything out there. T-Zoid was definately more forgiving and Titleist more user-friendly. But now, once again I find myself back with an old friend...the MP14s. Anybody who wants simply the best irons ever produced for the experienced golfer, there is just no other set of clubs that get the job done as well as the MP14s.

Customer Service

No experience. The irons are rock solid and as clean as when I purchased them.

Went away from my MP-14's looking for a little more forgiveness. Found a set of Grads and thought, these should be the same with more forigveness. not. What a mistake. The feel of these 14's is totally addictive. From take away swing to impact, nothing compare to these. Similarly, the ease from which these clubs are for use to make shots was not appreciated until I was forced to play with a cavity back. Never again shall I part with the 14's.

From the moment felt these clubs in my hand I knew that they were perfect. That's the key with these, feel! I was fooling around with some apex plus's when my friend at the local pro shop asked if I'd tried the MP 14's. I hadn't and I decided to play a round with them. The supposed hard to hit mystique of blades made me nervous however as the round progressed I found that the long irons were surprisingly easy to hit, only compimented by the short irons which seemed to respond to each adjustment in my setup as well as my swing. The irons have unbelievably pretty trajectory as well as the most pure feeling when the ball is struck well. I would suggest anyone who could get their hands on these clubs to do so.

I use to play with cavity back clubs and never felt that I was hitting the ball the best I could. I have taken lessons and my swing plane is much better. I switched to these from the Callaway X12's. I absolutely love these clubs. I lost a little distance, but that is because I have to execute a proper swing and can't force it. The only thing I don't like about these clubs is that if I don't setup correctly I will miss hit the ball GUARANTEED. If my setup is correct I can do ANYTHING with these clubs. Draw/Fade/Knockdown/Punch.. You name it.. I even chip better.. To me the Forged Blade is best for my swing and style of play. I will get more distance with practice. If you're debating on buying I say BUY.. I never had buyers remorse. Not Once.

Who ever said that an unexperianced golfer couldnt produce good shots with a muscle back club? Dont listnen to those people. what kind of clubs do you think people used 40 years ago? Well, its my first year, and i acually prefer these clubs over the oversized cavity back clubs i previously used. I can hit these clubs really well, and i love them. Mizuno makes the best clubs on the market (#1 Iron on tour 8 consecutive years) and i love the MP-14's. I have tried other clubs, and Mizuno easly makes the best Irons and woods. i receomend them to everybody. Because afterall, my dad learned to play with Muscle back clubs, and hes a good golfer. i receomend MP-14's to anybody with the desire to play golf.

This is my second summer with these clubs and things are just getting better with time. I don''t care what who says'' if your not a single handicap , you should stick with cavity back for now until you have the confidence in your ball stricking. The forgiveness isn''t great(and the club let''s you know of that) but when hit solid,,, i can''t even explain that feeling that goes through your body ,, it''s like as if you never even hit the ball,,and ball flight is amazing. I was intimidated at address in the begining because the head is so small ,but that''s what makes you concentrate on not trying to over-do-it and have a easy swing so that your making solid contact. A 40mph swing hit right on the buton is always better then a 110mph swing hit off the toe or hosel. These clubs demand a solid strick everytime

These are the best blades I''ve hit. The mid-short irons are incredible. Knockdowns, baby-draws, and fades are very easy to produce. The only drawback is the distance. I use to play the Big Bertha X-12 Pros, and am losing about 15 yards per club. But then again, hitting every green and taking my playing partners'' money using knockdown approaches is fun too..... : ) These clubs changed my game... I was ready to give up golf, but these made it fun again.

Okay, here''''s the deal. The golf companies spend huge marketing and PR dollars to convince most mid-level golfers to play cast cavity-backed irons. That''''s because these clubs are cheap to manufacture and easy for them to sell at $600 or more a set. Forged blades require a true commitment to learning to swing a club well and make good contact. But that''''s what you need to do to become a serious golfer anyway. The cast clubs rob you of the feedback you need to truly improve. These Mizunos are total classics, and you''''d better act now if you want them because they''''ve been discontinued. The MP-14s are forged in Japan, unlike the new MP-33s which are American-made. Buy American sentiments aside, the Japan-made clubs have a sweeter, more sensistive forging. These clubs just sing in your hand when you hit one right. If you want to keep hacking away, stay with cast, cavity-back irons. If you want to make a serious step toward improving your iron play, try a forged club. These MP-14s are such classics, you can always find a buyer if they''''re not to your liking. And you just may discover how cool it is to work a ball into a narrow little gap or stick a high draw onto a postage stamp green like real golfers do.

These are the most solid, best feeling, forged clubs on the market. When they say that they are the number one iron on tour, I can believe it because these clubs offer a level of feedback so high I can tell just how far away from the sweetspot I was in millimeters! MY only qualms about these clubs are the fact that to get the max distance you HAVE to hit it on the sweet spot. With these clubs vs. Ping I3 I lose atleast 5-7 yards on every shot. And in cold weather it really hurts if you thin one even a little bit. Your hand will go numb for about 5 minutes.
