One of the best irons I've played. My last set was the Mp-30 and I was missing some accuracy. Now I'm hitting the balls straighter and longer. I especially like the top line. The head feels heavier than the Mp-30.

Switched from Callaway X-16 Pro Series (ocassionally inconsistent distances, not enough feel -- seem to penalize you when you attack the ball (bought them because of limited golf-time last year)). MP-32s are truly outstanding. It's been said that golf is feeling that goes from the club to your hands to your heart -- I've never felt that feeling as pure when striking an MP-32 cleanly. Work the ball with confidence -- the MP-32s are far more forgiving than the MP-29s of my youth. I demo'd many of the top lines and the MP-32s are truly blue-ribbon head-and-shoulders above the crowd. Great job Mizuno!

Purchased at Golfsmith store on sale -- excellent service. Can save a hundred+ on eBay but good luck if the clubs are defective.

One thing that is hard, is switching to blades. Everyone that you ask are always telling you that you have to swing perfect to use them, especially the club pro's. If you are in the 80's give these a try. They will give you tremendous feel. Even the 3 iron blade, it looks intimidating but farely easy to hit , teed up.These clubs are more forgiving than you think. My ping eye2 are incredible but i have to put them aside for the MP's. You won't wonder why they were rated the best iron of the year when you hit them. To get the true feeling of the feel you need to golf a round with these, not just the range.

Best Iron Today. Tell you a little story about MP 32. I'm so convinced with MP 32 after numerous Demo, I bought one set for my father, who never uses blade before and hate trying new clubs, whom now love the club ever since. The irons that I am using is Mizuno MP 33, which I orginally thought is similar to MP 32, which is why I didn't get them for myself. Today, I played with my father. On a PAR 3, it's only 145 yards, but stong head wind with the target of a very small island Green. Usually, I use my 8 Iron, half swing, try to hit a medium trajetory with less spin. However, I'm hitting my driver very long today, and have fear of overshooting the small island green. Therefore, I borrowed my father's MP 32 9 Iron, smoke the shot straight up into the sky, dropped next to the pin, 4 feet, easy 2. The MP 32 doesn't belong to me, I've never practiced them, it's 3 degrees flat for me, in terms of lie angle, and 1 1/2 inches shorter than my standard, grip size is only regular, and I need medium size, well, I'm 6'4'' tall. But, first swing, perfect distance, perfect direction, great result. That's when you know it's a very good club, it's the first swing, that is why, from what I read, Mr. Ben Hogan need only one swing to decide if the club is good, it's always the first one that count, not the ones after numerous practice. This is a club I would highly recommend to anyone at any level.

If you are a mid to low handicaper trying to be a 'player', these are the perfect irons for you. These are absolutely gorgeous blades that play like game improvement irons. They are roughly 10 yards longer than my Hogan Apex Edge irons and unlike most blades, they are hard to miss hit. For me, they fly higher and straighter than my Hogans, but they give me the option of working the ball when the situation requires it. I've only played with them a few times, but I've already posted my best score of the season. After trying the MP-32's, I'll never go back to those clunky looking cavity backs.

I bought these at a Demo Day at a local driving range. If I couldn't have hit and compare them to other clubs, i would never have believed they could be so easy to hit. Turnaround time after the order was less than two weeks. The 'free' sand wedge took another 10 days to come in.

At the Demo Day I hit the Callaway X-Tour irons and the Ping I-59's (and a host of others) and frankly they are all good clubs, but the MP-32's were unbeatable in distance, accuracy, feel and looks.

Moved over from a set of Callaway X-16 Pro Series. I love the soft feel of a well struck shot off these irons. I think it is best described as whacking a cube of soft butter. Mis-hits are distinctly registered but noticed that the ball still goes the distance. Best set of irons I've ever played. I found these irons on ebay for new and well below the MSRP.

I had been using Hogan FTXs,before purchasing these. At first it was unsettling as my short irons-8-P-were not as accurate as the Hogans. After discussing the problem with a Golfworks specialist and having the clubs checked and my swing. He pointed out that the Apex 4 is a lighter shaft then the DG300. Maybe it was just mental but now I'm scoring well and really enjoying these irons. Previousily, I've used the Mizuno TP9s and MP30s. My preference is the MP32 followed by the TP9s. I use only forged irons-Hogan FTX &ApexII, Titleist 690mb, Macgregor PMBs- as cast clubs give me no feedback. Distance is essentially the same as the other irons I use but perhaps more accurate and forgiving. Mizuno makes quality products not only in irons but their MP series of woods are great too.

I previously reviewed these irons on March 29, 2005 and wanted to make a follow-up on them. So far, I've played nearly 10 rouns with them and have dropped an average of 9 strokes per round. I have them 1/2" long and 4 degrees lofted with S300 shafts. Likes: The address of these irons is spectacular - the confidence they'll give you before your swing cannot be shaken. They setup so nicely behind the ball that I forget that the iron is a blade and swing naturally. Mizuno's forging is the sweetest I've ever felt. Some of the other blades I've used seem a bit "hard" with full swings, even though struck in the sweet spot. The MP-32s are soft all around with any swing speed. Distance is no longer shorter than my Nike blades - being able to work these irons allows me to simply put the further back in my stance for a low trajectory shot - on the green from 200+ out with an "easy" 4 iron is so nice. I also purchased the 2 iron with my set which is just as easy to hit off the deck as it is off the tee. At first I was a little worried with the typical thought of hitting a blade 2 iron, but a little practice has slowed me down and allowing me to groove to 2 up to the 150-180yd range on Par 4's. That's the type of confidence I've never had with other irons. Dislikes: I'm not a big fan of the OEM Mizuno grips, but I guess they're not bad. If there were a choice, I would have opted for cord grips - that's purely a personal flavor. Advice: Anyone can play blades, even those who are working on improving contact with the ball. Some people want to be able to hit shots no matter what their swing is like and opt for a "forgiving" oversized club instead of learning to swing correctly. The person who learns to hit a blade or muscle back can generally use any iron because they developed a more consistent swing than those who "give up" and go with an oversized set. These irons were also voted #1 in May's Golf Magazine test for top irons.

Hmmm another in 90's playing blades. Well who cares, I started with spalding blades power hand me down that is so worn out and embarassing with no distance. I bought a dunlop tour special beginner set which got me distance but couldnt pick the ball in hard lie or couldnt get through a decent turf. The problem could be the shaft or offset. Decided to finally to get a decent Iron set. I finally got them today 1/2" short and 1* flat. I tried them out straight away on the range. Accuracy - 5 to PW for me was dead on, I still have to be consistent wtih 3 & 4 as I have to learn to swing again a club with little or no offset. I had to be more fluid. I'm off target about 22 yards at the moment with 3/4 and I'm still learning the club. Feel - plenty of it. When its right it lets you know and feels so good. Its the shortest 0.2s ectasy i know. Distance - these are one club longer, the longest I hit with the 3 were about 190-200 yards and i'm only 5'5". Imagine a 6' ft tall can do. That would keep me in touch with some tall timbers out there. In reality I'll be looking 180 for accuracy. I agree this are not for everyone. If you dont have a good swing these are not for you. If you think you have a good swing let others see it and let them give you an honest feed back, dont be defensive. I've been to a couple of shop and always got that that question and smirk. Be polite ask a lot of question window shop around, dont buy anything and leave. Another shop I went who knew me from previous purchase of a driver. He had no objection letting me try CG1 and MP32. Also tried TA6 and Rac OS for comparison. The CB's were 10-15 yards longer on computer sim. Oh well. I'll rate the value rating lower because I'm a cheap skate and I believe this product and all other can be cheaper as there are literrally millions of golf clubs out there. Over supply no demands price should be cheaper. This would be a best seller if they do have a firesale. I cant wait to try it out on the course.

Customer Service

I got them after a week I ordered with my spec.

Model Reviewed: MP-32, True Temper Dynamic Gold,

I am a 13 handicap, bought my MP's three months ago, played a dozen rounds, and have hit several thousand balls. I have 3-PW, and three MPT Black-NI wedges; 51, 56 and 60. The MP-32's have X100 Dynamic Gold Lite shafts, 1 degree upright, 1 degree strong, and 1/2" longer. Grips are Lampkin Crossline Mid. Club setup is terrific. Shafts are excellent. I like them better than Rifle 6.0's on my Ping Zing 2's. Trajectory is excellent. Club feel and setup at address is quite good. Feel during backswing and follow-through is very nice. Heads are very soft. Rock driving range balls can be made into butter. Heads do mark-up fiarly easy on face of club. Both 5 and 6 iron already have dings. I haven't played forged clubs in 20 years, and I am very glad to be back. The feel is just so nice. No more stingers. Using blades to practice with is really a good idea. They teach you to fine tune your swing, no doubt about that. If you don't plan to practice than I don't recommend them because I'm not sure the advantage you get over a club like the KZG Evolution Forged, since they are definitely more difficult to hit...no doubt about that. Do they give you the shanks? Of course not. DO you they spray mis-hits OB? Not at all. They simply have a smaller sweet spot, and oh my is it sweet. But forged CB's are really sweet too. There really needs to be a purpose in your game to use them otherwise I think your kidding yourself. Wedges are excellent too, but they do play different than the 32's. I'd rather have a set of MP-32 wedges.

Customer Service
