These irons are fine for a beginning but serious golfer. Looks are great and make you want to play more. Also jou feel a lot more, good and bad. Don't believe the widespread idea that blades are for pro's only. I have played the same score as with my beginners clubs. These clubs give me a very solid feeling when striking the bal. Balls fly straighter, same length, but a little higher. Clubs are rock solid. I like steel shafts more than graphite, much heavier so i hit the balls more relaxed. clubheads are smaller then Cleveland quadpro, but strike just as easy. The funny thing is that i expected to have more trouble with the long irons, but the opposite is true. Long irons strike better and easier then my clevelands, and further. I think i will carry these clubs in my bag for the coming 10 years. Highly recommended for serious beginners!

Reason for purchase: Sick of cleaning the Ping I-3's. What a pain in the ...! These MP 32's were just so DAMN PRETTY! I'm gonna shoot the same score no matter what I play with. Got 'em on ebay. Half inch short, 2 degree flat with special rifle shafts.Paid maybe $650. Did I mention they are just so DAMN PRETTY! (how sick is this. I'm gettn off on a set of golf clubs) Likes: Hmmm. Let's see. How about...they're just so DAMN PRETTY! Dislikes: They can't kiss back. Quality: One look tells you these babies are built like no other and oh,to feel them in your hands. Just to touch them as they caress the ball. Sorry,I have to stop now. Becoming too much for me. Phew! Summary: Once you're a Mizuno hack, you never go back?!

I read all of the reviews and decided after 12 years of golfing it was time to lay down the cavity backs and go for a "real" set of golf clubs. I am confident this is the best decision I have ever made concerning my golf game. After playing with the Mizunos for 3 weeks now, I hit with far more confidence and accuracy that ever before. NO...they do not take 10 strokes off your game immediately but the do provide greater consistency in Iron behavior so that you can tune up your game more efficiently. Also, they are the best looking set of clubs that I have ever owened. With a high, flat, flight path through the range and a very wide sweet spot, I would recommend these clubs to anyone who feels that have reached their potential with their current set of clubs.

I recently purchased the MP32's and have played 2 rounds and have been to the range once. I shot 74, and then a personal best 69 two days later. I know that the indian has more to do with shotmaking than the arrow, but these clubs live up to their hype. I hit fourteen greens the second time I used them and must say they are spot on when hit well. I played the MP14's for seven years untill I went with the MX20's in 2003. I left the 14's when I started having problems getting enough carry with the long irons. The 20's helped getting the ball up and landing soft on long shots, but they were not as consistant in the short irons as I liked. Going with the cut muscle technology of the 32's brings the best of both worlds to my game. I get the consistency if blades, and also get a higher trajectory with the long irons. The wider sole also gives more confidence going after the shot as there is a little more room for error. I would highly recomend these clubs to anyone looking to improve their shots throughout the bag.

The MP-32 irons are the smoothest feeling irons i have ever hit. You can hardly feel any impact when you strike the sweet spot, and they provide instant feedback on miss-hits. I purchased the MP-32's last week at a local golf shop and instantly fell in love with them. These all but eliminate the thoery of blades being hard to hit, but still would not recommend them to "begginers." The MP-32 irons are some of the best irons you can buy if you ask me.

Model Reviewed: Mizuno MP-32 Forged Cut Muscle

Ok, I will try to make this as complete and honest as I can. I am an avid golfer 25 years old and currently play about 2 times per week. My previous set of irons was the Titleist 731pm’s (a great set of clubs). Before that I played Cleveland Ta-5’s gunmetal (another great set of clubs) and some various knock off clubs in the past. My current handicap is about an 8, but has steadily been falling the past 6 months (for the first time in 4 years I might add). Ok anyways to the Mizuno’s, my set is somewhat hybrid 3-6 are MP-30’s and 7-PW are MP-32’s, so take that into account. My set is 2 degree’s up right and 1 degree weak. The shafts are RIFLE 6.5 +0.50 inches long, with tour wrap cord grips by golf pride. Again as other have said get these custom fitted it really does make a difference. Look These clubs have a very nice shape and look very good in the bag, on the course and also at setup. The top line is slightly larger than my 731’s but much smaller than the TA-5’s. I think it is a nice width, and inspires confidence at address and easy allignment. The club heads again are larger than the 731’s but similar to the TA-5’s. The TA-5’s being thicker but having less height. I would say overall these are the best looking set I have owned, maybe not the best looking set made but definitely a top ten in my book. I think Mizuno has produced the perfect mix between a blade irons classic address while hitting like a set of big deep cavity backs. Ball Strike Ok coming from the 731’s and TA-5 which both had some of the best impact feel I have tried, I was curious to what the Mizuno’s were really like…. Everyone always says you have to hit them to really understand, and I must say they are probably right. For one, this is the first time a 3 iron has been back in my bag since the TA-5’s. I think where I notice the most difference is in the low irons like the 3-6 irons again these are cavity backs MP-30’s. This is where I really notice that buttery .02 sec ecstasy over all other clubs I have hit. Don’t get me wrong the MP-32’s 7-PW feel just as buttery but the long irons that can be difficult to hit pure on most other brands with Mizuno are smooth as silk. The 731’s had this buttery feel but only in the 6-PW in my opinion and I still wasn’t quite as nice probably since they were cast clubs. The TA-5’s also had that great feel at impact, but it just isn’t that same experience as when you hit a blade muscle back or cut muscle in this case and the TA-5 pretty much felt the same no matter how you hit the ball, there was no reward for a great strike. The other thing I really liked was you do get response when you hit it poorly (unlike the TA-5’s which go on like nothing happened) but unlike the Titleist 731 blades you are granted much more forgiveness. The ball stays true to the target line and distance loss is negligible. Ball Flight Ok the ball flight on these irons is slightly higher than my 731’s and if memory serves similar to the TA-5’s. I should also note my lofts are bent 1 degree weak so this may also play a part since the 731’s are 2 degree’s strong my 9 iron MP-32 is almost the same loft as the 731’s PW. I actually preferred the slightly lower flight of my 731’s on the short irons, but that is getting pretty picky. The long irons here are again where I felt the Mizuno’s really shine, they have a boring powerful trajectory that built my confidence with every swing. I have not hit a truly pure 4 iron in quite sometime and it felt great to do so. Again there is some feedback and punishment for poorly struck balls but not nearly so much as the 731’s. Workability Ok these are blades so of course you can work them. I had a little trouble producing a fade but that was also true on the 731’s and I think that is more from my swing mechanics than the clubs. I think workability is a double edged sword, it is great to be able to hit a big draw around some tree’s but when you come around too much it can turn disastrous. The 731’s without a doubt have more workability, but for me I think it was too much. The Mizuno’s for me produced probably a 2-3 yard draw on just about every club. What they didn’t do (which I love) was produce a 10-15 yard draw when I produced a swing that was less than perfect, as the 731’s did. TA-5’s were pretty much straight ball flights not too much workability there, you really had to go out of the way to make the ball turn over. Again Mizuno found a perfect compromise between workability and forgiveness. They were forgiving on my not so perfect swings, which all of us on here have from time to time, but still allowed me work the ball when needed. It is a players club for us players who aren’t on a tour. Summary Overall I feel I have gotten the best set of irons available today, and it seems many others agree. These truly are superior in every aspect. They are not the best in every single category out there, but as far as overall performance I have yet to hit an equal. I won’t lie and tell you I went out and dropped 10 strokes on my first round but my first round was a very solid performance. I shot an 80 with the new clubs, and most of my mistakes were involved with getting distances correct as the lofts are very different from my 731’s. I came up way short on a couple par three’s and a few approach shots on the front nine. As far as ball striking and accuracy I was going after pins with more confidence than I ever imagined. I hit the long irons off the tee something I never did with the 731’s. After I practiced a little more with these and my golfing partner (Handicap = 5) and I had our usual beer bet for low score and for the first time in a while I enjoyed cracking open a few on his tab. One last note to mid-high handicappers. First and I know some will disagree, but you can play these clubs!! If people have been playing blades from when golf was invented till just recently, it can be done. Would I recommend Titleist 670MB’s for you? NEVER!! But these Mizuno’s I think are acceptable clubs for a mid to higher handicapper especially if you can custom order them and get the MP-30’s for your long irons, BUT you have to have a desire to improve your swing. If you are just looking for the most forgiving club made probably not going to fin it here. Buying my Titleist blades was one of the best decisions I ever made as a mid handicapper of about 13-15, after some hard work and major swing corrections which I immediately became aware of as I tried to hit those blade irons, I was able to lower my handicap to an 8, and continue to fire some of the best scores of my life. Blades are not for everyone but if you want a set of blades to start improving your game I can say with some certainty these are the way to go. As an aside, I would like to mention a book that has helped my game like no other. Its Title: Swing Like a Pro; Authors: Dr. Ralph Mann and Fred Griffin. If you are looking to learn how to correctly swing a golf club it is a awesome place to start your path to a great repeatable swing. It has straighter out my driver considerably and made me a very solid ball striker by following the drills and methods described. Whew!! Hope this review helped and you didn’t strain your eyes reading this novel. Knock ‘em close!!

Hello, my name is Kevin and I am a recovering Titleist junkie. That's right, everything (ball, bag, driver, putter, irons... ball mark repair tool). I finally tried the Mizuno MP 32's and found a new flame. These are by far and away the best irons I have ever played. And despite being a blade, they are significantly EASIER to hit than the old 990's. Trajectory is a bit higher but the distance is at least equal if not a tad longer on the mid-long range. Highly recommended.

First off, let's start with this. These are not automatic to hit, you have to put a decent swing on them. I've read far to many reviews of these and other clubs that "gave me an extra 5-30yds. per club." Come on people, this is meant for a referance for the future buyer. Not for you to deflate your Vanity Handicap. That being said, these irons are georgous! Mizuno gave a great effort in the finish dept. It's nice to have something diferent to look at too, Cut Muscle..very unique. I hit them great, actually a club shorter than my Titleist 704's. But oh baby...what a defference feel makes! My 704's were forged, and that was the first set I owned, but Mizuno takes forged to a completely defferent level. Great quality, great fit/finish. Excellent iron.

I have recently purchased a set (3-PW, S300 shafts) of MP-32's and I'm currently contemplating leaving my wife and spending the rest of my days with the new toys! They are a truely beautiful set of irons that sit perfectly at address and inspire confidence. Slightly deeper (as in blade height) than other true blades (MP-37's, MP-33's), but takes nothing from the fact that you have a "real" set of clubs in your hand. I hit them quite high but find this with most irons, but distance is not much different from previous sets. The long iron go a really nice height with lots of carry from an effortless swing. I love the weight of the heads which is slightly heavier than my last set (Tommy Armour V-31 Evo) which allows me to feel where the club head is better and swing easier with more rythm. The strike is superb, and you can hardly feel the ball at all. This is another bonus for me as I find if I play with clubs where you can feel the strike, my swing gets a little to focussed on impact rather than swinging through. I haven't played enough with them to see the usual reviewers reaction of 16 under after owning then 6 seconds, or a 400 yard 9 iron. I have however fallen in love with them as I'm sure many have after seeing the pictures of them in the magazines. They play as nicely as they look like they should, and are forgiving enough for most to play with. I hate massive cavity back irons that only get the ball in the air because they have 90% of their mass below the ball, but I guess that is the only way some people will get the ball airbourn. If you can strike the ball with a half decent swing then try these clubs and turn yourself in to a real golfer. Your swing will only improve, and you'll be the envy of all of your playing partners. I managed to get a bargain on eBay too...brand new £322. It seems they usually go for more but get lucky and you've got a bargain.
