I have been steadily improving my game (100+ to 87) this year with practice and more playing. I have been playing with TA 845's now for about 8 years and wanted to try new clubs to begin to work the ball more than the 845's would allow. The Comp EZ set-up nice although I don't like the look of the thick top line on the clubs. Solid shots feel great and fly off the club which gives you great response and feel. The distance by club is better although the Comp EZ are 2-4 degrees stronger than the 845's. Overall, I can't justify the price vs performace of the Comp EZ against my 845's. Demoed these earlier in the year. Incredible clubs. Awesome feel when struck well. Too pricey for a junior golfer like me. Ball flight is majestic with a soft landing. Can't wait till im older so I can buy a set. Gained upwards of 15 yards in carry alone using a six iron. Similar Products Used: None |

"Wow" was the first word I said when I shot a course record the first time I used these clubs. I airmailed about 3 greens the first time because they go about 10 meters father the my last set. These are very forgiving but still it is so easy to turn the ball and it stingers. But feel is the best part about these irons Similar Products Used: If your a single figure handicap like me don't just think that a blade is the best. Get the Comp Ez |

Salesman suggested these clubs. Tried them on the range. Great feel. Was shooting in the low 100's. Now I shoot in the 90's. Very forgiving Similar Products Used: None |

Solid feel pleasing aesthetics. Switched from old King Cobra oversize...similar club weighting is important, so minimal swing changes were required for the change. Simply time for new irons...and these fit my swing. Down to Callaway X-14s, Mizuno Pro II, and Comp EZ's...Had 10 more yards with X-14, but lost control at the top into a slight hook/draw...I prefer to hit straight shots...I don't shape shots which is supposedly the advantage of the Pro II. I have used cavity back irons for years and was looking for a new iron that provided the length of cavity back and feel of forged. The Comp-EZ irons definitely fulfill that niche. You get good feedback with every swing and the Mizuno Powerbar results in terrific distance. I actually seemed to have gained distance using these irons from my old Wilson GE cavity backs! When hit in the sweetspot, the feedback is that great feeling I have been missing all these years with the 'dull' cavity back response. I usually shoot in the 85 range, and these clubs have helped me to shoot some rounds in the 70s. Check ebay or golfclubexchange.com for used sets. I bought mine used as 2000 model at my local pro shop for $499, and I couldn't be happier with the price or the performance. Similar Products Used: Titleist 981, Titleist 990, Ping I-3 |

Haven't purchased a set yet, but did use the Mizuno Comp-EZ 5 iron and the Ben Hogan Apex Edge today. On a long par 3 I hit two balls. Now, mind you...I suck. The first ball went 15 feet from the cup. That was with the Hogans. The second went 10 feet from the cup. The question is what to do... I had shots like this all day. The sweet spot is huge and they are very forgiving. I like the heavier head of a forged club and there is nothing like striking the ball with a forged club. It's amazing. I almost shit myself with some of the shot I was making. These clubs are a far cry from my shitty Square Two's... Off to the golf shop tomorrow. Not sure which one's to get though. They are both expensive sets. Customer Service I'm a "retail fool". Similar Products Used: What else is there? |
