Mizuno Comp EZ
Traded in the Ping ISI's for the EZ's at the beginning if this season. I only wish I had done it sooner. These things have provided me with the feedback on pure shots and mishits that I have been in need of for years. I have finally corrected many bad swing habits that I wasn't able to identify with other irons. In the seven rounds that I have had these weapons in my bag I have broken into the 70's twice and recorded my first Ace on a 168-yard par three, downwind, 8 iron. Do yourself a favor and at least demo the clubs outside for an afternoon. If you decide to pull the trigger and buy these things, try oversized tour wraps for added viration feedback. My handicap is 12. The marketing buzz about the #1 iron on tour is well supported with this product. Similar Products Used: Titleist 981, Ping Blade and O-Size, Armour, Cleveland, Apex, etc. |

Prior to buying the EZ I played Ping B. copper for 15yrs. I am a 2hdcp. and was considering blades but was concerned with going from an offset to the blade, I hit numerous irons and was encourged by the Mizuno rep. to go to a blade. The Mizuno comp EZ is offset but not as much as my Pings. I decided to go with the EZ and had the Rifle 6.0 shaft put in. I have now played 23 rounds with the EZ. I could not be happier, they are a great club. I have shot some of my best early season scores ever and have shot my best round ever with the EZ. I am very surprised that more golfers are not playing this club. If you're a low hdcp. golfer don't overlook this club. Customer Service clubs were bent 2degrees upright and they did a perfect job. Mizuno T-Zoid Comp EZ
Mizuno T-Zoid Comp EZ Irons with Tour Flighted Rifle Shafts (5.5). I've played them for about 10 rounds and they're great clubs (I am a 17 handicap.) Perfect feel when hit on the generous sweetspot, and reasonably forgiving on mishits with decent distance. They have a medium trajectory, easy to keep low on windy days. Originally I bought them with True Temper Gold Plus Sensicore shafts and didn't particularly care for them. They had a less sweet feel to them and were harsher on mishits. I sold them after 5 rounds and ordered a new set with the Rifles...what a difference. I had also demo'd them with True Temper Dynalite shafts and those were much better then the Gold Plus, but I still prefer the Rifles. After a lot of searching and testing (no kidding) I found the club for me and I'm sticking with the Comp EZ's for at least a few years. Mizuno customer service was first rate, they got my custom order to me in 2 weeks when they originally said 3 weeks. I would highly recommend these clubs to anyone. My previous irons were also Mizunos, and I liked them a lot. That's why I decided to try these beatiful forgings in spite of the price I'd have to pay for them. I hit the Titleists first, and was quite disappointed. The impact felt harsh and the sound was kinda strange too. They also looked really bulky. Similar Products Used: DCI 981, Mizuno Pro II |

I had been patiently researching for my next set of irons and narrowed it down to either the Ping I3s or these. I tried the PINGs and they felt better than my existing set but cosmetically, they didn't hit my sweet spot. Saw the T-Zoids in a local store and it was love at first sight. Never had a chance to try them though so I trusted your comments ! I want an iron set that will last me a few years and will be suitable assuming that I will get better (Last year 25 handicap, now I'm at 15.9) and help to take me to the next plane. After a 2 week wait from golfbargains they finally arrived and I went straight to the range. All I can say is these iron are ORGASMIC. ! When you hit that sweet spot, its like a massive orgasm ! I got a lot of strange looks from neighbouring bays. I was hitting dead straight and 15-20 yards further. Took them to the course yesterday and hit by best score breaking 90 - unbelieveable for a virgin set of irons. I now have to select 1 club down as I was hitting well over the green on my initial approach shots. These irons let me work the ball much better than my XPCs, especially for intended hook shots for those dog leg lefts. The short irons hit surprising high for the loft values, and are brilliant for stopping the ball where you want on approach. At first I was worried than these would be difficult to hit as I heard forged irons, and Mizunos are notorious for that. But these forged irons are designed for mid to high handicappers being cavity backs, and I believe they actually improve your swing; when you hit that sweet spot you really feel it, when you're off you can tell whether its toe or heel, and this aids your brain in subconsciously homing in on the sweet spot. If you love multiple orgasms, these are for you ! Customer Service No problem except that I would have liked to have a quicker service. Initially I hit the MP-33 just for fun to see if I could hit it. I liked it but it was too much work. Looking for a forged, somewhat forgiving club, I started hitting the Comp EZ. The first few swings were satisfying but not exceptional. 20 balls later I had started developing a pattern of hitting the ball right of the target by 10 yards. Hooding the club head just a tad straightened out most shots but made me feel uncomfortable at address. I am very interested in what the mizuno rep has to say to say about the inconsistant faces on there clubs. All of you try this, find a straight edge and run it across the face of your clubs and you will be unpleasantly suprised. There are others out there including the Hogan Edge model. are Similar Products Used: None |

There are two things I'm going to say. This are great irons. The second is a question. Why is there always some jerk who has to give a great product like this a poor review with one star? DO they even know what they are talking about? Have they ever even tried the product? DO they actually play golf? or are they just plain stupid. Similar Products Used: None |

This is a great iron, although not as forgiving as Callaway. When hit at sweetspot, the feel is so great that now I basically play golf for that feeling. Great workability, it's an iron you can really control trajectory with. I have found this iron getting more suitable as my game has improved; it was a little too difficult to play with when I was shooting 110s, but as I broke 100 and 90, this iron has become much easier to control, with consistency and confidence. When I bought these clubs, I was struggling to break 110, but I knew I was close. 1 year later, A great teaching pro, and these irons, and I am now threatening to get into the 80's. They are so satifying to hit, I can't imagine ever playing anything else. Pure contact is rewarded with a glorious, buttery feel that sends chills of excitement up through your body. Less than perfect contact immediately communicates the result, long before the shot lands. Invaluable learning tool, and incredibly rewarding to use. You can "call your shot" immediately after contact, all day. I am now learning how to work the ball slightly--something I never would've imagined I could do. I don't know that distance is any better than competitors, but who cares- it's pretty darn good, and they are accurate as hell! They also look great from any angle--real classy in the bag, and clean topline from address. My only gripe is the soft heads show wear rather quickly, so I may have to buy another set next year. I will happily do so--they are the best club I have ever hit. Buy em--they'll grow on you, and grow with you!!!
