The true "game improvement" club for the masses.
This is a forged cavity back iron. What it gives you is a large sweetspot (almost as large as a traditional cavity back) along with some of the feel of a forged blade. The advantage: you feel your mistakes.
These clubs are not the easiest to hit straight or long, but they are very good for a forged iron, and better than most cavity backed clubs. Like any club, if you are open or closed, or if you hit toe or heal, you will be slightly punished. But, because you can feel what you are doing, unlike the more forgiving clubs out there, you get a chance to really improve your game.
I have had good success with mine. First, I got them custom made for my body (I am 6'1" so I went +1/2", +2 degrees upright). I really recommend you do the same if you get some. If you don't need the extra length, order a standard pair off ebay (a lot cheeper!) and take them in and have the lie changed. Forged clubs are very easy to change.
They feel amazing, which is the real advantage to these clubs over cast irons. If you hit the sweetspot, it is like you hit nothing at all it is so soft (but the ball really goes). If you miss the sweetspot, you will feel it, and you will loose distance and or accuracy, just like what happens with all clubs. However, with these you feel what happened. This is really helping me groove my swing. I have gone from 105+ to a solid 95 in a month. I expect it to keep getting better with the feedback these clubs give. It is almost like having my pro out there with me all the time.
If you want to improve your game, and you have enough time to get out there and hit some balls, these are great sticks to have in your bag. If you just want to go straight and long (some of the time) and don't have the time or energy to improve your game, get the x-14's or even the Wilson Fat Shafts. They will (marginally) work better for you.

I didn't care much for the cavity-backed clubs lack of feel. I've used the Callaway "X" model and the Ping "i" series. Both are excellent if you simply want to get at the ball. The Comp-EZ is a "Game Improvement" club, enabling the player's skill level to benefit from the club's responsiveness. The club's trajectory is excellent, the setup lines are perfect, and hitting the sweet spot is like... Butter!

Do yourself a favor and try out these clubs. And keep it in the fairway!

These are ideal clubs for all kinds of golfers. They have a very soft feel, and when you hit an off center shot it doesnt kill your hands. I think that if you are playing cavity-back clubs and you want something that you can work the ball with, these are the clubs. Anyone that knows anything about golf will tell you that you shouldnt go from a cavity-back club to blades. These clubs are perfect for someone that wants to take their game to the next level.*** And if you look at the price I paid---it is outragous-- get them off of a discount internet site!!!! The only reason that I spent that much was that i was so eager to get these clubs in my bag!!! I had to have them now!!

These set-up nicely. They are forgiving, especially off the toe. Nice distance and spin. Recommend comparing prices, start with mygolfpro.com. They applied an instant $200 discount off the $759 retail price.

I tried these clubs at my course. Suggested by the Club Pro who uses Mizuno blades. They are great looking clubs with a good feel. However I found them not to be very forgiving and the sole to be to narrow for my liking. Instead I ended up buying the Ping i3's O size. Much better for my game at my level of play and really a better value also.

These irons are fantastic!! they have such a soft feel to them even when you hit a bad shot. they are way better irons than the 990s and 962s, they also suit any level of golfer. The spin you get is awesome with any club from the set! go out and buy them even if you have to get a loan.

I bought my set through ebay and I was so upset and disappointed when I found the condition was only"fair",not as "better than great" as it was described.I totally forgot about it after just having a chance to try it once at the range. It's the first time I could feel the weight of the club head and the pendulum motion(using x-12 for many yrs but feel nothing).Within 2 wks,I could work my 7-iron from 145 with my old x-12 to 165 yards consistantly(I'm 5'6" 165pounds,asian).At this point,I have no idea about trading it with any new sets. The idea about breaking into the low 80's is not just a dream to me any longer. If you're in the market for a new set,I strongly believe this one will be your best bet in your golf life.
