I had read a lot of reviews about these irons, and finally had a hit of one when my friend bought a 6 iron from the local pro shop. 2 hits with his club and I knew i had to get a set of my own.
Customer Service Very good. I emailed Macgregor to get lofts of irons and heard back within the day. |

Just got back from my first round using these clubs and shot my best ever score! I had a crap set of starter alloy irons before so the difference was night and day. I had to reign it in as I started out over-shooting the greens - more distance, better feel, soooo forgiving and makes you feel like a better player. I've always had problems hitting my 3 and 4 iron, but with these clubs they were sailing on to the green from 170 yrds out. I chose graphite shafts as I have a slower swing so the extra speed I get from the lighter clubs helps so much. I'm interested to get out and see how I play next time and hope that I wasn't just having a lucky day! I bought these online for £150 - absolute bargain!!

Agreed with all prior reviews showing high enthusiasm for this set of clubs. At best I can find time to golf once a week and with these clubs I can consistently play bogey golf. This is the first graphite shaft iron set I've had and the light-weight feel of these clubs promotes a more effortless swing, which I believe promotes more consistent ball contact. Distance with these clubs is 5-10 yards longer than prior set, which were Top-Flite XL 2000's (also highly rated at this website).

I have use Cleveland TA 5 and 7's for a few years. Handicap 13.6. I bought the 565's three years ago and handicap is now 9.7. The clubs are great. Easy on the arm and MUCH longer than the Cleveland. Mac should have a 58 wedge to reduce the # of clubs. I have a 2 iron (195 to 210yds) this is a great club. I could never hit another 2. |

Hate to sound like a broken record but these reviews are spot on. I bought these off ebay for $199 and just took them to the range. These are the best sticks Ive ever played by far. Bad shots arent terrible and good ones are like butter. If your an 80s or over golfer I dont see how these couldnt help your game. Very, very, happy w/ these little jewels. These are excellent irons. They feel great at impact and the rifle shafts are smooth. These things are LONG! Maybe too long. There is a huge gap between my pitching wedge and my gap wedge (52). These have to be some of the best irons ever made Similar Products Used: Mizuno MX-17, Wilson Fat Shaft III |

Great set of irons. I love the lack of offset, and although I wish they were a little less bulky, their performance more than makes up for the appearance. Highly recommended for anyone with a repeatable swing. Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: Srixon I403 Ad, Adams GT2 Undercut |

I felt compelled to write my own review of these irons after reading everyone else's reviews of them. I'm a faithful Macgregor player, and have owned two other sets of Macgregor irons, as well as a variety of MacGregor woods. These irons are everything that everyone else on here says; I couldn't add one solitary word that hasn't already been said. What I can say, though, is that these are the BEST irons that MacGregor has made for average to above average golfers. Easy to hit, crisp contact, great distance, very accurate, and an appealing look. I could recommend no better iron than these irons. Your confidence level will soar. |

Purchased these about a month ago on Ebay for $230 new, with Precision Rifle 5.5 steel shafts. Prev used Wilson Deep Red II distance irons (solid club), but I am hitting these much better and a full club longer (likely due to lofting). Sweet click when hit in center, and good forgiveness when not. Not sure I notice a big "feel" difference due to forged, but the DR II's had a vibration dampner built in so that may affect my judgement. Visually a little fatter and thicker than I would prefer, but I can't argue with the results - excellent clubs. Customer Service none yet. Similar Products Used: Wilson Deep Red II Distance (steel)

These clubs are very nice. They have improved my golf game. I previously owned a set of callaways and test drove these clubs. I found them to be very good for me and i found a set on ebay for under 250. I purchased these clubs, and have been happy with it ever since. |
