Now that these have been reduced to $399, you've GOT to try them!! They look absolutely gorgeous, but better yet, inspire confidence when addressing the ball. I went into my search wide open, not having any idea what I wanted to get. Thank goodness Murray at the Edwin Watts Clearance Outlet in Orlando talked me into hitting some of these beauties into the net. It was love at first hit!! He even custom fit me, letting me hit some off the board to determine my correct lie. Luckily, they fit me perfectly already! Got them right after they were reduced, and in 2 rounds, hit the ball more solidly than I have in years. It may have something (or everything!!) to do with the custom fitting, but I have FINALLY found my dream clubs after many years of searching. Fellow golfers, you owe it to yourself to at least give these babies a try, especially at the new reduced price. MacGregor, you now have another member of your fan club!!! Customer Service Haven't had to use. Similar Products Used: Top Flight Tours (new model), Wilson Deep Reds (good, underrated clubs), Mizuno MX-20s (good clubs, unfortunately I got the wrong shaft), Titleist 762s (I hated them), Too many others to remember. |

MacGregor 1025C Forged Cavity Back Iron Set pel lite steel shaft
A great iron for medium to expert player, please put ur handicap at least 22 before you can feel the usage of these irons... If you are a scrap beginer, just don't buy them.. you are wasting your money.. The feel is extremely soft.. and it does not vibrate a lot on off the centre impact (can still feel where the ball is goin).. A very very very very great iron set! I think this is the best i have tried since I play golf! I recommend those who are desired to improve their game.. this club also helps me to improve the consistencies in my swing due to the club head release in ease... Buy the brand new Pel-Lite steel shaft please.. They are as light as graphite, yet owns the feel of a steel shaft.. best of both worlds!! Magic... Well done macgregor, you are on the rise again!!! Customer Service Not tried.. but the shop i buy them in... nice and helpful fellow!! :) Similar Products Used: Hippo giant plus (cow), callaway x16 (ok, but the feel sux), wilson technospin (don try this at home), callaway japs big bertha japs version (nice, but too damn expensive, not worth the $) |

MacGregor 1025C V-Foil Forged Irons
Great feeling clubs and easy to hit. The clubs do have an offset which makes it difficult for a right to left hitter as I am. I have had to fight to keep draws from becoming hooks. This does not happen with clubs having less offset. These are super clubs - just not the right ones for me. Similar Products Used: Titleist DCI 762 |

I used to play Titleist Tour Models which are forged. The feel was unmatched. I shot my lowest score of 81 with them. I got greedy and asked a club fitter to make them 2 degrees flatter. That was a big mistake. I got so frustrated that I sold them. Since then, I've tried many sets of irons. I've owned 11 iron sets this year! My score creeped up to a 99 at one point. I was going to give up the game until I tried these irons. The feedback was incredible...I could feel what a good swing felt like again. My game started to get better. These irons were heaven sent because I wasn't even considering MacGregors because I didn't know much about them and they don't seem to advertise. Well, I'm glad I play with them now. I have no complaints with these whatsoever. Now my next goal is to break 80 and I'm getting closer :) Try these irons before you buy anything else, because you will not regret it! MacGregor is starting to make a comeback and the V-foil line is leading that charge! Customer Service no comment...never used them. Great feel; great trajectory; easy to hit; predictable distances; and more forgiving than I expected. Club balance is superb...I know where the head is. Clubs look good at set up, and inspire confidence. Everything works as advertised. Perhaps the most pleasant surprise is that I hit them on the course (7 rounds) better than I hit them on the practice range and while getting fitted. Even the 3-iron is in my bag, and I look forward to hitting it. Customer Service Ordered half inch longer than standard. Delivered on-time as promised. I have hit every club on the market. I finally chose the 1025C for the lovely feel of the forged metal and the fantastic trajectory. Still has reasonable forgiveness. I would pay 1100 to get these for the the way they hit and perform. Best buy out there. Would also consider Callaway X-16's, but these were not available at the time I purchased these. Lovely to look at and hit!! ** DEFINITELY DO N*O*T* BUY ANY CLUBS UNTIL YOU HIT A NUMBER OF CLUBS AND THEN GET THEM FIT** THE FIRST THING GOOD GOLF COACHES WILL ASK YOU IS IF YOU HAD YOUR CLUBS FIT FOR YOU. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE PROPER FITTING CLUBS!!! GET MEASURED FOR: LIE ANGLE SHAFT FLEX SHAFT LENGTH AND GRIP WIDTH THEN CUSTOM ORDER THE CLUBS. OTHERWISE YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY. Cheers and look into the MacGregor 1025C's! Second choice is Callaway X-16's Customer Service Not had to use yet Similar Products Used: Callaway X16, Adams Tight Lies, Callaway X-14, TaylorMade 320, Callaway Big Bertha |

I appear to have had a similar experience as others with these clubs. I've been shopping for new irons for the past two weeks, and I've hit them all, but the Macgregors were far and away the best iron I hit. I've already been fitted for a set of new Pings, but will be re-evaluating my choices The ball just flew off the club face with the Macs, and had a beautiful trajectory.....I need to hit them some more, but my first impression very favorable. |

I had the plesure of attending a demo day put on by MacGregor at the Bobby Lopez Golf Academy. I had been hitting Titleist DCI + Black oversize irons I bought new in 1998. I thought they were decent irons but after hitting the forged MacGregors it was night and day. The MacGregors with a S300 shaft consistanly produced a gorgeous high ball flight and way very loooong. For comparison I would hit my Cast Titleist 6 iron about 170 yards, conversly I was hitting the Mac 6 190 all day. Not sure if the dramatic imrovement and feel was due to the MacGregor VFoil desin or just hitting a forged club I went out and hit Mizuno MX-20's (which were nice) Cleveland TA-1's, TA-3's, TA-7's and TA-7 Tours as well as the new Taylor Made RAC irons. Nothing was a nice to me as the MacGregor VFOIL's. The feel was awesome, on mis hit shots they still sailed toward my target and when I caught it on the sweet spot it was a rocket. Anyway for my money and talent they work great. Coupled with 5 day a week practice and these new irons I think I will finally get to my goal of being a single handicap this year. Top notch! Customer Service I had the clubs cutom fitted and made byt he factory just for me. Nor eal experience with them so far.
