I've been dying to tell everyone what I think about these clubs. These are the best clubs that I have ever played with. They set up so sweet and have the great blade look with straight lines. They feel absolutely sweet, soft and smooth when hit anywhere near the sweet spot. They feel like the sweetest blade that you have ever hit and they feature so much more forgiveness. Off-center hits don't clank like they do on many other blades. I switched from Eye 2's that I have played and loved for 12 years, I tried I3's, G2's, Ping S59's, all the Mizuno's, all the Titleists. I basically hit every iron that I could get my hands on before I decided on these, and I haven't had one second thought. I've read that several people think that they have a low and penetrating ball flight, but those aren't the words that I would use. I can hit any of the irons high and soft, I can work them both directions, I can hit 3/4 shots and half swings and they still feel solid and consistent. The sole of the club is a bit more rounded and I don't take the divots that I used to with the pings. I don't know what more I can say. They look great, feel great, sound great, look and feel like blades and have more than enough forgiveness for my game. The guy who did the custom work on them for me outfitted them with the True Temper Super Lite shaft, and added a little weight under the grips (I'm about 1.25 inches longer than standard, so the lite shafts are the way more me to go.) Hit these next to the new Mizuno's and feel the difference. I feel that my game can get as good as I want with these irons. They'll be in my bag for a long time. Customer Service Cleveland Golf was bought out by Rossignol (sp?) a few months ago. I called the customer service comment hotline to make some comments about my clubs and suggestions for the inadequate website and was on hold for a long time before I finally hung up. I talked to the guys in the tour van when they were in Seattle recently and they said that things are going to be updated soon. They were really cool and offered free modifications on the spot if I wanted. Similar Products Used: I've tried them all, Mizuno's Titleists, RAC's, Pings, you name it. I've used Ping Eye2's for a decade. The CG2's offer the feedback and workability to bring me to the next level. |

Very, very solid irons. Player's club with a slightly thicker topline than most blades. Sole contours let the clubhead glide through the turf, instead of digging. Great trajectory, very soft feel. Metal is soft enough to adjust lie or loft. (I bent mine 4 degrees flat with no problem) Noticeably more forgiving that my Hogan Apex Plus. On par with the Mizuno MP32, maybe better. Customer Service No experience. Similar Products Used: Hogan Apex Plus, Mizuno MP32, Ping I3 Plus (junk) |

I played the new CG2s for the first time last night. They are very nice irons. I have had a set of PingEye2s in my bag for a number of years and obviously, the Clevelands a major advancement in technology. They are forgiving enough to let you get away with an occasional flyer but you had better have a solid swing-if not you'll be better served looking elsewhere. They are also very soft and offer plenty of feel. I did find that they played about 1 club longer than the Pings and was seeing a much better ball flight and trajectory. Overall, very nice sticks. This irons is soft as butter on center hits and absorbs any harsh feeling on offcenter hits. Very Accurate, with plenty of spins and wonderful low flight. Very nice grind of the Cg2, makes the club less prone to digging. I overshot all green by 10-20 yards, and totally got messed up on my yardage and later noticed that the 7-pitching wedge is between 1-2 degrees stronger than usual. Now i need a gap wedge to cover that yardage. This club is very easy to shape the shots, but not the most forgiving of tour cavity back. Not recommended if you dont have a good swing. Go for CG4 if for game improvements. CG 2 is a player's iron. The irons is quite easy to get nicked like most forge. And seem that the sole is quite easy to wear off. Very easy to bend the irons like most forged. Customer Service not tried Similar Products Used: TM rac combo. MP33. dynacraft tour cavity. Callaway X16 x 18. |

I recently switched over to the CG2 irons fron Hogan Apex+ irons. The CG2s have a very unique feel very soft, yet solid. They are forgiving and mis hits still fly straight and have reasonable distance. The D wedge-8 iron have about the same distance as the Hogans with my swing, but I gained about 10 yards on the 7- 4 iron.I had them made with the S300 TT Sensecore shaft...this set up gives me more weight/feel through out my swing vs. the Hogans w/ Apex 4 shafts. The CG2s look great at address and again offer a great feel at impact.I had purchased a CG10 wedge which sparked my interest in this new Cleveland design. At my local club I have let a number of folks hit this new iron, all have really liked the feel of them. Simply put, these will be my irons for quite some time. I encourage anyone looking for a new player's club to try the new CG2s, I think you will be impressed. Customer Service Cleveland has always been fine for me. I had the above clubs custom made and they delvered them in two weeks. Similar Products Used: Hogan Apex+, Taylor Made Rac Forged |

Great sticks. The short irons have a penetrating ball flight, and I hit the longer irons higher than any previous clubs that I have tried. I did not pick up any distance with the scoring clubs, but the long irons are 10-15 yards longer with my swing. Off center hits lose some distance (10-15 yards), but if you were looking for very forgiving clubs you wouldn't be reading this. The only complaint that I have is that balls struck high off of the clubface of the short irons have a dead "hollow" feel to them, however it does not seem to affect distance or spin, so I can live with it. All in all I am realy impressed with these clubs and would recommed them to anyone who is a decent ball-striker. These are amazing irons. Super accurate and ultra forgiving, with great feel and softness. Cg2-irons are the only real contender to Mizunos Mp32, which are very similar to Cg2, I think. So, if your looking for a club that equals or even surapasses the mp32, give these a good try. Tried the CG2's out yesterday at the range and they are amazing. I read the review above mine and he has either never hit them, or has some swing flaw because these irons are one of the best out there. The feel is way better than that of my RAC MB's and all of my shots were dialed in perfect. Definitely try these clubs out, I think they are one of the best clubs out at the moment and compared to other players clubs, they are relatively cheap. I may only shoot in the 80's but I still play blades because they give me the control that I want. These gave me the control that I wanted and also good forgiveness. I hit two shots that I totally picked clean (w/ a 6-iron) and they still went right where I aimed. They only ended up about 10 yds short so there is definitely some forgiveness there. I'm definitely getting some as soon as I sell my RAC MB's. If anybody wants them, shoot me an email (it's in my profile). Customer Service Haven't dealt with them. Cleveland CG2 3-PW Dynamic Gold S300
These irons look great at address, just my preference and opinion. This is a great clubhead design and the Carbon Metal Matirx (CMM) technology is the next best thing in golf. I played the CG10 Wedges prior to going with this set of CG2s and have had a lot of success with them as well. These are very soft at impact, the ball flight is quite nice with the Dynamic Gold S300 shafts....medium trajectory, not too high or low, and don't worry about ballooning these into the wind either. I can hit a draw, fade, high or low shot when needed. The workability out matches all others I have tried in the past. Distance for me hasn't changed with these, since I have played the same loft and shaft for the past 5 years. I feel more confident firing at the pin with these compared to my other sets. The forgiveness is there with the very slight cavity, but obviously there are more forgiving clubs on the market....but you wouldn't be reading this review if you didn't want to be a better ball-striker and lower scores. If you are a recreational golfer looking for forgiveness, look elsewhere. These are the best feeling irons in my book and they will be in my bag for a very long time. I highly recommend these for any player looking to improve and gain control of their shots. Customer Service Have not had to use them. very good irons. i have tried numerous irons and have yet to play one of this caliber. it takes time to get used to because of the strong lofts but they feel great. if you like the CG10 cleveland wedges give these a try. most the feed back i get from playing partners that have tried them is positive. previously i played taylor made combo set and loved them. i followed the lead of some pro and felt a little more forgiveness would not hurt. these clubs can be knocked down and worked in both directions. i feel that these irons would be a tough iron for a player that does not hit the ball consistantly...there is forgivness but they do not work wonders. bottom line great club for a single digit player. if you like a softer feel give these a try.
