I tried the taylor made r7s and the ping g10s and I liked these irons the best. They are very easy to hit and they are very accurate. I was shooting in the mid eighties before I bought these. I have played seven rounds with them and broke eighty twice.

I had in the past a set of X16 and X14 from Callaway and i loved it, but with the X20 i had no felling at all, i don't recommand this set of irons. i have changed it for a set of Ping I5 and WOW! now you are talking.

Great irons. They're replacing my aging X-14 irons with stock rifle shafts which I'll keep as back up. I tried the X-20 Tour irons but I didn't like the Project X flighted shafts. They were WAY too stiff for me.

I think the X-20s are the best looking X series irons from Callaway. At address it looks a little chunky on the top but then my X-14s are too so I'm used to it.

As far as performance these clubs are very forgiving and very easy to get the ball airborne. Distance wise, it's about the same as my X-14s.

I also like the stock uniflex steel shafts. It feels good and it performs well. I hit a 7 iron about 160 yards.

I highly recommend these clubs to any mid or high handicaper.

back again to express my thanks to callaway....

since I wrote my first review I dropped an average of 5 strokes on 9 holes... some of that was correcting myself but most of it was the amazing x-20's...

I found myself on the range today and was hitting my 8 iron, I set up and hit it 150... I was amazed, same flight as my normal hits but it just carried and flew away. I almost died. I hit my PW and was hitting it 120, I couldn't believe it.

I recommend these to anyone who is looking to improve their game or are satisfied with their mid handicap. A couple days ago I had 6 pars in a row, which was incredible for me.

I wouldn't recommend these to anyone that has under a 10 handicap, because they probably won't deliver the control and ball flight that they would be satisfied with. Everyone else should give these a try. I have gained two club lengths with them and continue to excel my game.

Good hacking

Customer Service

No use, however the 'register' your clubs on the callaway website is under repair or is down/has been down for two months now. I haven't checked recently so it could be back up.

I have now had 5 rounds with these new irons. I am very impressed with the accuracy of the irons. I seem to have gain around 10 yards with them. I have used Taylormade, Ping, and was currently using Cobras. All of them were great clubs, but I had to go with Callaway. They felt so much more adjusted to my swing.

Customer Service

I had these fitted for me and the Customer Service was very good.

I've owned these clubs for just over a year and i haven't been overly impressed. They look great and the weighting is good but there seems to be so little feel. The sound when you hit the ball is a bit clunky as well.
For a set of irons that cost over £600 i was expecting a lot more.

Really a great club. Probably a good 3/4's of a club - a club length longer than my 10 year old ping eyes. Like the reviews say - cushy feel, cavity back feel and solid but forgiving. Demoed these, then the Titleist 755's and new pings, and then these and have gone with these and it was an easy choice from the start - but I wanted to make sure I gave everything a try... Knowing I've had my old irons for 10+ years, I feel very comfortable buying a average/good condition set of these used for half the price and using them for 10 years (40 - 50 rounds a year) as I am comfortable in my game and these clubs and that I will probably improve. Getting the uniflex steel, standard everything - best clubs I may have ever used and can't wait for their arrival. I highly recommend when looking at clubs that you go with what's comfortable to you - I can hit anything fine, but you may be more comfortable getting your clubs fitted, or new clubs as well if you believe it helps you specifically! Enjoy the process of getting to know a lot of these clubs as you play!

Im 31 yrs old, a late bloomer to golf, and had only a few rounds under my belt - 3 months, 12 rounds. Started off with a score of 140, cracked the ton on my 7th round and felt that golf would be something I'd stick to for a long time, so I decided to treat myself to a nice set of clubs that would last me at least a decade. Read many reviews about these clubs and decided they were for me. (I like quality in life)

After I cracked 100, my score hovered around 100-110. On my first round with these irons, I shot 105 (off day, driving let me down horrendously). My 2nd round I shot 88! And on my 3rd I shot 82! I gave myself 6 mths to crack the 80's, and Ive done it in 3 mths. Only 2 wks ago, I was wondering what it would feel like to shoot a birdie. Ive shot 6 birdies since then.

I cant see myself shooting in the 100's again as these irons feel so sweet and soft and the ball flies dead straight. Somehow, from 120 yrds away, I can attack the pin very aggressively with accuracy. I nearly eagled a par 4 a few days ago. Had to settle for a birdie, LOL.

Perhaps I improved exponentially, but these clubs give me extra distance by approx 1.5 club lengths. They are also extremely forgiving. Even when I mis-hit the ball by 2cm on the club-face, they go dead straight. On a direct hit, the sound and feel are soooo sweet. Im hitting the 3 iron very well too - dead straight and long.

I think these clubs feel a bit heavy, but not too heavy. My brother inlaw's clubs feel really light. The x-20's probably suit my swing speed (average).

Bought these irons (3-pw) for $630 on ebay (authentic too). They cost $1400 retail in Australia.

I feel like quitting my job just so I can spend more time on the golf course with these clubs.

These clubs OWN. They are smooth and very forgiving. Hitting them at the shop felt amazing. I tried out the mx-25(mizuno's) and found they were a little heavy. I know the x-20's are heavy but they just feel great. I also tried the r7's, which are also great clubs, but decided on the x-20's.

Overall, amazing clubs. They are not rediculously expensive and are smooth. They have and will definately improve my game.

I play Mizuno T-Zoid Pro's and love them. My Brother in law is a beginning golfer, we went to Golf Galaxy and tried every iron they had in the store. The only iron he could consistently get in the air were the Callaway X-20's. I hit them and they go a little too high for my taste, but are a great club for beginners. Feel is very solid and clubs are very forgiving. Great clubs. This was hard for me to admit as I love my Mizuno irons and Taylor Made woods.
