First of all, listen to whomever says that these take the right shaft to function properly. I first tried the Rifles is stiff and couldn't play them, thought it was clubs, less offset and all. I went to the reg X-16's with the uniflex and after getting used to them found them to be too wippy and draws were turning into hooks! I went back to the store again (thank goodness for the 90 day playability) and got a pair of X-16 pro series with the TT DG S300 shafts and viola! I found the right combo and love them. Longer than my old X-14's, forgiving, can work the ball either way. The only problem I have is I have started to back the ball up (off the green a couple of times!) which is okay once I start playing it. Very solid clubs! Customer Service I have never had to actually use them but have emailed questions a few times and ALWAYS received an answer by the next day. Similar Products Used: X-14's, X-16's |

I must tell about that irons that are so easy to use. I love the rifle shaft. I take with the regular shaft . I have 83 mph and I do 160 yards , and the regular shaft is perfect. The big face of the club make it easy to use , and the irons left you work the ball. I must tell you that this is irons are heavy , and this is one of the reasons becuase I love it. Nice club to mid - high hncp. The long irons are easy to use , and I able to do 200 yards with the 3 club with a beatifull ball flight. In my opinion good choice for a serius players. Weekend players can use the big bertha. Just bought these, Rifle 6.0 and lie adjusted. Used to have X-14s and before that blades only. Used to work in the industry for a competitor and therefore not easily impressed, but these are excellent clubs. The PW lacks a bit of feel when chipping but makes up for it when pitching. Distance is predictable and I can work the ball easily. I saw some negative comments on the site - can only think they are due to having the wrong shaft - take time to try the options and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Very nice clubs. Got them with regular rifles. can work the ball both ways although not as easy as blades but good enough. Very forgiving and surprisingly soft feeling for a cast club (much softer than x-14 pros). Face is compact and has minimum offset. I hit a 7 iron 160 yards and got the REGULAR rifles believe me they do not play like normal regulars..more like firm...I swing smooth not violent...get the right shaft and you will like these clubs. The only drawback of these clubs is that they are hard to hit from the rough but not bad though |

Interesting range of opinions. I had a hard time getting used to the change from my old X-12's. I would have agreed with most of the negative comments. Now, at the end of the summer, I'm quite happy with the clubs and expect a significant drop in my handicap. I've actually been in the 70's all month. I don't know if I had to get used to the clubs or just shake off the winter, but these will be with me for a long time. Customer Service Both the Pro Shop and company are top notch. |

Very solid, with average feel. Ball can be worked both ways. Excellent choice for a mid-handicapper. Very similar to the X-14 pro series, just a bit better. Average score has been decreased from 81 to 77. The right clubs for me. Customer Service Great Similar Products Used: Cleveland TA-7(excellent club) |

Okay I've read enough here to know that half the people who write in these reviews don't have clue #1. You CAN work these irons, they do HAVE feel and they are NOT heavy. They are sweet swinging and easy to get used to. I've been searching for the right irons for 2 seasons and these are the ones. I ordered them with Rifle tour flighted shafts and it was worth the wait. They go where your swing tells them to go. As for feed back it is higly overrated for the handicap golfers that review here, our hands do not have the same sensitivity as a pro. The ball is on the club before it releases for approximately 3/8 of inch so how much time is there to adjust you can only tell whether you have made optimum contact on that swing. It has nothing to do with your next swing. I can tell where my ball is going just by my swing path, not by the feel. If you have any doubts about these clubs don't, just buy them. Customer Service Had to wait 4 weeks for the clubs because of the RIFLE tour flighted shafts, but Callaway sent me a free golf bag for waiting. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Second only to dropping $40K in my 401K over the last two years, these pieces of junk are the worst investment I ever made. Big, ugly, feels like hitting a golf ball with a 38 ounce wood bat, can't work the ball, can't stop the ball and the list goes on. After years of playing a set of ISI's I decided to buy into the Callaway hype and after 12 rounds traded them in for a set of MP30's (great club). I am sure some people think these clubs are the best ever made but I wouldn't walk across the street to pick up a free set of them. Callaway X-16 Pro Series Rifle Flighted 6.0
I recently purchased these clubs new off ebay. Received them directly from Callaway as the shafts were special order. Let me just say that it didn't take many rounds for me to realize just how much these clubs SUCK! Don't get me wrong, I generally like Callaway. I use Callaway VFT Pro Series woods, but these X-16's are for the birds. They have a nice blade-like appearance, but set them next to a RAC LT or Titleist 990 and see the difference. These things are BIG, HEAVY and have ZERO FEEL. Sure, if you want to rattle one off the toe and have it feel as GOD AWEFUL DULL as when you hit the aircraft carrier sized sweet spot, be my guest. But you'll never experience that sweet feeling of catching one right in the middle of the head with these sticks, sorry. I've been playing golf for 23 years and I know how irons should feel, and these do not feel good. Nice looking club though. That's what first attracted me to them. A little on the gigantic side, but Callaway did a good job eliminating the huge offest in the pro series model. Very little workability due to the size of the head. Tough out of the rough due to the wide sole. If you must buy them, I've got a set for sale with 3 rounds in them. Customer Service Excellent from my past experiences. I think that these clubs are rediculously incredible. I am a jr golfer who for the past couple of years have been worried about what i would look like if i hit a fat iron like this, i had been play mizuno mp 33's which are great irons but i switched to these callaways after hitting a buddies one day. I have had the clubs for 2 days now. Today i hit 18 of 18 greens in regulation and i dont think that i had ever done that with my pretty blades. The moral of the story if u are a good player and u get uncomfortable with your blades dont worry about it just buy some callaways they are awesome and they actually gave me some added confidence |
