Callaway X-14 Pro Series w/ Rifle 6.0 S-Flex
I have tested many sets of irons with two main things that I was looking for in an iron. One was that I wanted very little offset and Two was that I needed a little bit more forgiveness than a blade could offer. After testing many sets of clubs the choice was very easy the x-14 pro series was extremely forgiving but had hardly any offset. They address the ball very well without the akwardness of offset and the slighty bigger head of the club give you more confidence when hitting. Some people say that they aren''t true players'' clubs but I am hitting the ball very well with them and there is nothing I would change about the clubs and I''m also having a lot of fun on the course. YOu can''t beat that!! Customer Service N//A Similar Products Used: Cleveland TA3--Ping ISI--Callaway BB----and have tested TM 300 fgrd--Mizuno mp-33--Cleveland TA1--Titleist 990 and 962 |

I used to play with the Titleist 990''s before migrating to the Mizuno MP33''s, but was astounded by my playing partners who were over a club longer than I, with their X-14 pro series. I lived safe in the knowledge that I must be a short hitter, until invited to play on a golf simulator which indeed showed that club for club, the X-14''s were a good 10 yards longer and so much more forgiving with hits of the toe remaining straight and relatively long. I cannot even attribute this to shafts as they were identical (Rifle 5.5). The X-14''s are the way forward, they are long and very forgiving. Gone are the days of hitting blades, golf is hard enough as it is. No matter what you shoot, these are the most forgiving irons that are out there! I absolutely love these irons! I am 42 and a 6 handicap and I was looking for new irons 2 years ago. Well I wanted cobras, don''t ask me why? Well I demoed the reg x14 and they were great! Soon after about 50 games or so I found that I was not consistant and was pulling and hooking a lot. The pulls were bad with the short irons. The shaft was lousy as it was a cheap CW callaway shaft in reg flex. The ball went very high and in the rough the club was so light it would turn over. They are very hot around the green and it is true because I tried the pros and they were great! They have lousy grips as I found out, and the angle was more up wright then the pros. The pitching wedge was 15 yds difference after the nine iron? Well I bought them because they went far! Well I said I have to sell these because the offset was killing me in strokes. They were easy to sell as I live in Canada and I payed $848 total as a demo and I sold them for $750 not bad after 130 games! I decided to try the x14 pros and after playing the reg ones I under stand how a real golf club should feel now! I have never even hit a callaway until I was 40. I now all I own is callaway products. I here that low handicap players will not play them because they are not a players club. Tell that to Charles Howe and Ty Tryon ect... on the PGA tour. I really do a lot of research on clubs and I checked that these are D2 instead of D0 and narrow flange to keep the ball down, a nice finish on the head, riffle royal precision stiff which I now play which is why I hit them straight and no pulls and no offset! Flatter lie angle and they came with tour velvet grips. I now no why the pros that play callaway play the pro series, they line up so nice and they do not go off line too much even with a bad swing. And yes, I love the forgiveness, who does''t? I have tried what people called players clubs, and I would not trade these for two sets of them! Great irons ! Write me and tell me how yours are doing? None Never thought id swing a callaway iron, i love there woods cept for there drivers. Ive always like the smaller irons..never did i think that i would hit a callaway, they always seemed to be so huge, so when new iron buying time came around i was looking for something that i could control with my swing...i.e. less offset, easy to hit...i looked at the ping 13 blades..and they seemed a lil wierd, somehow i got hooked into demoing these clubs, and havent let go of them since. Great clubs i got 2-pw have no means of letting go of them anytime since. Customer Service Best ever....didnt like the grips so they sent me all new callaway winn grips for free. pitching wedge reasently stolen, new one in days, Better than anything else....Taylormade''s sucks ass Similar Products Used: None |

None I have a question I am 6''5" and am considering a set of X-14 pros will Callaway be able to fit me with my correct lie angle? I heard they only go up to 3* upright or flat. If anyone has an idea of what specs I would need please let me know. Thanks Before I hit this club I hit the Ping i3, TA3, TightLies, Macgregor PMB, and Titleist 762 and 681. When I picked up this club I new just by looking at it that it was a long hitter. When I hit the ball it gave a solid but not quite butter feel(this is the feel I perfer)and rocketed into the driving screen. 6 iron 208 all the others except the 681 were considerably lower between 180 and 195. I hope I can be fitted for these because they are the best thing out there in my opinion. Similar Products Used: Ping i3, TA3, TightLies, Macgregor PMB, and Titleist 762 and 681. |

None the x-14 pro series are great golf clubs. people who say they aren''t players clubs are not players themselves. they are beautiful, confidence inspiring, and great clubs overall. i don''t see why people complain about them being easy to hit, most people could use that. professionals use clubs easier to hit than these. the shafts with these clubs are also great. rifle shafts are the best out there for irons. and the grips can be changed, nothing to complain about. overall they are wonderful golf clubs for many levels of players, including professionals. Customer Service great, gave me all different options, set me up with the perfect fit for me. Similar Products Used: my callaway x-14 prototypes |
