Callaway X-12 Irons

Callaway X-12 Irons

DESCRIPTION

The 1998 Big Bertha Irons feature all of the game-enhancing characteristics of the Great Big Bertha Titanium irons in a stainless steel head. The sweet-spot of the club has been increased over the standard Big Bertha iron. The weight has been re-distributed around the club and the center-of-gravity has been lowered to create a more heel-and-toe balanced iron. The top line has also been thinned to make this the most playable club Callaway has ever created. (Price for 3-PW Steel Shaft)

Clubs set up well. Very easy to hit. They are more consistent than the zing-2s that I previously hit. Well satisified.

Customer Service

Callaway re-finished some big bertha woods, excellent service and great quality of workmanship on the finished product.

I have had my X-12s for over a year now, and have been very pleased with them. The X-12 clubheads are lighter than the Ping irons I used before, so it took a little work for me to get used them. After a little work on the range, I was getting the club face square at impact. In my humble opinion, these irons are among the best on the market.

Probably the best irons on the market in my opinion. They are excellent for hitting low draws, high fades, or just pure straight shots. For scratch golfers to 40 handicaps.

These irons are excellent game improvement clubs, which basically anyone could use. They feel really good... excellent shock absorption, really nice shaft, large face. The best irons...

Taylor Made LCG's. These feel similar, but I think I was able to hit the Callaway's farther and more consistently.

Very easy to swing. Able to work the ball well. Distance about the same as my Ping Eye 2s. ""Firm"" shaft was a little too weak for my quick tempo, so I had to work at slowing down. ""Strong"" flex better suited to strong players used to steel ""S"" or ""X"" shafts.

I have hit the X-12 for a couple of months and I am very impressed. I have always hit blades or non-offset clubs in the past, but I am pleasantly surprised with these clubs. They have a great feel and are very forgiving on thin or slightly off-center shots. They are also much more workable than I thought they would be. I believe that these would make a great stick for any level of golfer!

The shorter irons are tremedous! Nice feel throughout the set. I love the five iron through the wedge. The three and four irons will require more time before I am as confident with them. These are well worth the money, especially as the price keeps dropping.

Great clubs. Easy to work the ball. Good feel. Good distance. Tried the Hawkeye irons and hated them, but these are great. M10-98 shaft and I like it better than the rifle shaft.

I have been hitting the Hogan Apex for the past ten years. It is a very fine club. I just don't have the time to play as much as I used to. So,I needed a club that was more forgiving and easier to hit. I tried the (X-12 Pro Series) from a local pro shop. The club set up nice, had great feel and gave me the extra forgivness I was looking for. I now own a set and highly recommend these clubs. Still have the Hogans, don't have the heart to sell them...
