Hawkeye irons hit the ball high and for the first time in this golfer's life with a consistant draw. Instant help for a low ball hitter like me improved distance because for me ball is in the air longer, outstanding!

As a new player I have had lots of problems - not the least of which was with irons. You can't buy a game and I don't suggest you can. However, these Hawkeyes have totally turned me around. I actually wonder sometimes if they should be legal! The long irons are very good, but now I can hit high, soft shots into the greeen with 9, PW, and SW. Expensive, but worth every penny.

Customer Service

Called before buying to discuss shafts. They were most helpful and fully answered every question without trying to push me into Hawkeyes.

Let's be honest here. If you buy these clubs you're not concerned about the price. You buy them because you believe in Callaway's ability to put a better weapon in your hands--and they have. Longer ball flight and better spin on the green. Not only that, these clubs are beautiful as opposed to some of their models in recent years(I should know-I've owned most of them). The switch to Wynn grips is a great idea. All in all-a great set of sticks that perform and look beautiful. If you can afford them-buy them. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Ely strikes again! For huge dollars one gets a shovel sized head with a grip that will not last four months in regular play of 2-3 times per week plus practice. All of you middle handicappers take a deep breath, look in the mirror and ask yourself two questions.

1. Why does Callaway bring out a new iron every 12-15 months?

2. Do they REALLY know something that Mizuno, Ping, Maxfli etc. do not?

Sorry people, and I respect your choice of how you spend your money, but to this low (4) handicapper, the Hawkeyes are clangy, oversized and incredibly overpriced.

Customer Service

I had a friend who needed a shaft replaced in his Warbird. The service was outstanding, as always with Callaway.

Excellent set of clubs, they are very easy to hit. Not for the better player, they will not let you work the ball, it will allways fly straight.

I recently purchased a set of Hawkeye irons via a local golf pro. Reading your reviews I have noticed others payed upward of $1250. I went to a pro and paid alot less. This dulls the pain a bit when you dish out all that cash!! I spent the saved money on an approach and sand wedge to round out the set. These are BEAUTIFUL clubs with a great feel. They hit high and land soft. Custom Winn Grips add to the experiene (and balance out the price some). If your serious about your game these are serious clubs. They cost more but are well worth it!!

These clubs are good for a golfer in the 90's. They make shots easy and forgiving. I don't know if I will be using them when I get into the 80's. Also, if you are slow swinger then these may be good.

These clubs are realy realy bad. the head is the size of a watermellon and miss-hits literly make your hands hurt. i cant complain about the grips though. but on the rare occasions ANYONE hits them solid they have an ok trajectory. If you have a solid game then stick to a solid iron like the 990, hogans, mizzunos or pings.

These Irons are hot!! I see some guys complain about the price and say that you are better to spend money on lessons, Well why not do both, I have and it has paid off.
I've been playing less than 12 months and am hitting in the 80s, And thanks to my new irons I'm hitting longer, straighter and higher with less effort.
I picked up my clubs cheap 2nd hand less than half price and dont regret getting them, I didn't even try them first I just trusted Callaway and there ability to make great clubs.
I did freak out at the size of the head when I got them but after the first swing that didn't matter.
If you are looking for the best most forgiving club, Even on miss hits then get these yoiu won't regret it!

So bright and shiny, and so very, very expensive. I'm convinced that I sold my soul to the Dark Lord to be able to afford these as much for bragging rights (No, you can't hit them. Get your own set. Nyah, nyah, nyah...) as for their great feel. I also tried the x-14 Steelhead irons, but I liked the Hawkeyes better.

The ball comes off the clubface like a rocket. Great feel, not too jangly on the mis-hits. I love the grips. I just bought them this morning and took them right to the range, but I won't get a chance to play them until the weekend; ain't RealLife(tm) a drag. I immediately noticed how forgiving these clubs are; on my second shot, I mis-hit with my 5-iron, but the ball flew straight and sure.

Did I mention that they are shiny? And expensive?
