Anyone who can't hit these irons should go for lessons with a qualified pro. In my experience it is one the easiest iron to hit. I have no problems with it whatsoever. Anyone should be able to hit anything as long as their fundamentals are there. I'm not saying that I'm that good but I'm using blades when I take my lessons and I can tell you that there is a big difference in feel and forgiveness. The game is already difficult so why make it more so. Whatever it is I'll play with clubs which make it easier to play the game so I can enjoy it more.

Customer Service

Never needed to use it but don't know how it is as I'm in Singapore. By the way all my present clubs are in the Callaway family that's how much I TRUST it.

I have played Callaway x-12's, x-14's and now the Hawk eye's. I have never been able to work the ball so easily. I do lose about 10 yards per iron, but the accuracy gained is well worth the loss in distance. Very forgiving. The only thing I can say negative is that I will continue to play my x-14 S,A and L wedges. The Hawk Eye wedges are a little too fat on the bottom for me. The 3-pw are perfect. I

Customer Service

I had a broken strap on my callaway bag and they sent me a new strap no questions asked. I paid nothing and they were very personable.

Was going to buy 2002 Big Berthas but I found these for a deal I couldn't pass up. I have played with them about3 times now. It is easy to get the ball up with these irons. I recommend these for anyone with ball flight problems. It just takes a little getting used to the sound these babies make. Instead of a crack, it makes a thud sound. I have lost 1 club distance in the 9-SW due to high ball flight, but overall I am satisfied.

I just received these clubs a few weeks ago and really enjoy hitting these clubs. I am making the greens in regulation more times then not (putting needs work now!). One thing i notice is i did lose some distance on the short irons but the loft is great. They land softly onto the green with the way they just put the ball into the air. I really don't have any complaints about these clubs. I would strongly suggest getting a set of hawkeyes. The WINN grips that come on the club are awesome the most comfortable grips i have ever played. Maybe by the middle of the summer i can get my game into the lower 80s and well .... maybe a 79.

Customer Service

Customer service at Callway is great! After buying the clubs i decided it would be best to go ahead and lengthen the club a 1/2 inch. Well gave callaway a call and they was really friendly to talk to said it was nooooo problem.

I am as average of a golfer as there is. Nothing fancy to my game until I purchased the Hawkeye Irons. Since this great purchase I have brought my borring game from the 100s to the mid 80s. I was hitting the Cleveland TA-3's, forged with a rifle shaft and could not seem to get the ball off the ground. One round with these bad boys and everything was a solid high flighted shot. Very predictable and very solid. Mis-hits give you a feel that you made bad contact, but results are usually ok on mis-hits. They tend to travel much shorter but solid flight none-the-less. I am starting to work the ball a bit as well. I have read other reviews that there is no feel and I totally disagree. Its just that the sweet spot is so large and forgiving that you never get that real terrible feeling as in other clubs. This by far is the best iron on the market. I have played demo rounds with 845s cavity, Lynx cavity and Taylor Made RAC recently. My previous sets were no comparrison either. Original S2H2 Irons, Staff Blades, Hogan Blades, Top Flight Tour (good for the price) and Big Bertha Iron nock off. Non come close. None. This is a stick for serious golfers. Its an investment in improvement. If your a high handicapper or low handicapper it will improve your game by 10 strokes on the first round. I suggest getting tour wraps as well. Simply a beautiful looking club that plays even better than its looks..

Customer Service

Never have dealt with them. Everything in my bag is Callaway besides my driving iron (hi-fli) and they are work horse of sticks...

These clubs are way too expensive, good thing I bought them way used and way cheap. I think they are incredibly ugly, and look like farm implements. There is however, no denying the fact that they are quality golf clubs. I've never hit more greens in regulation. Here's what I think the Hawkeye irons can do. (3-PW-AW-SW, stiff shaft, purchased from the club champion, a 0 hdcp.) They can hit it straight and high with very little effort, and they feel wonderfully balanced. They spin the ball like crazy. Easy to hit the long irons. They are moderately difficult irons to try and work shots. Intentional draw's and fade's require more finesse from the player. They are fairly difficult to hit low, knockdown shots with (my favorite shot). Not the clubs for St. Andrews on a windy day. The wedges are superb fairway wedges (including the SW), but around the green, they are much too hot for consistent chipping. If I were tour caliber, or even club champion caliber, I wouldn't play these clubs. I own (and love) Titleist 962's, everything about them. But, they just don't peform as well as the Hawkeye's at my current ability level. I give up shot-making with the 962's, but I'm much more consitent with the Hawkeyes. Hey, I hit twice as many greens with this club. I hate it and love it at the same time. I'm 53 years old.

After an extended break from golf (around 7 years) I got the bug again two-three years ago. My then ancient Titleist blades (I bought these second hand around 20 years ago) needed replacing so for the short term I bought a used set of Niklaus Air Bears from an acquaintance. About a year or so ago I decided to bite the bullet and treat myself to a brand new set of irons. I tried these at a Callaway demo day and decided to go for them. I chose graphite shafts because the Niklaus clubs I had been using were graphite and I guess I felt that the graphite would suit me better. So how have these clubs been ? Well, they felt OK to start with and I stuck with them for around nine months but I didn't feel I was really getting my dollars worth out of them. Three months ago I tried a set of Titleist DCI 762 irons with S300 stiff steel shafts and now I'm starting to play golf again. I won't go on about the Titleists since I've posted a separate review under the appropriate section...I will say though that by contrast the Callaways are clunky, massively oversized and positively agricultural. Added to which is the wallet emptying factor - very painful. The final twist for me was the fact that about five minutes after I got the Callaways, the model was discontinued to be superceded by the Hawkeye VFT's. If you are considering Hawkeye irons you should really ask yourself the following : 1. Why has my game improved so much using irons that cost half as much ? 2. How much difference are all those extra dollars going to make to your golf swing ? 3. When Callaway launch a new set of irons we're told how fantastic they are etc etc. In fact every new Callaway design is so fantastic to be replaced and superceded every 14 months or so. Who is kidding who here ? In conclusion, save your dollars, buy a really good set of clubs for around half the price, use the remainder of what you would have spent on some lessons and watch those scores come down !

These clubs are being closed out, and can be had at a good price. Bottom line, these clubs are very forgiving on mis-hits. That is what 95% of the golfers out there need. I crack up at the people who have reviewed this club, and list their game at shoots in the 80's or 90's, and complain that they cannot work this club. Give me a break. Long and staight is good, and that is what this club gives you. If you need some irons, give this one a try. Long, straight, high, soft-landing on the green, if this sounds good to you give them a shot.

superb clubs. felt really great on both the range and the course: weighting system gives you a lot more control and a lot more feel as to where the clubhead is in your swing, as well as more forgiveness on mis-hits. have compared to the VFT's and i still find these clubs feeling better and hitting truer and more consistantly than with the VFT's. perfect clubs for a great price.

Awesome !! I used them for one round, and my scores dropped 10 from 90''s to 80''s. Great look, great feel. Average 15 ~20 yards longer than my previous irons. They bring me lots of confidence when I use them. They are super easy to hit, balls are high and straight. During the game, after estimate the yardage to the hole, I alwasy can pick up the right club and make the ball on the green, because I can tell exactly the yards each club can hit, they are very predictable, and this is very important to save strokes. sb said these clubs are make the ball too high to manage in the windy condition, well I am not worry about that at this moment. Sb. else mentioned that these clubs are not very managable when you need to hit a draw or a fade, I will investigate that when the time comes, but right now, I am enjoying the fun that Hawkeyes bring to me. Just thing to buy a Hawkeye Lob Wedge to match the whole set.
