i went to carlsbad and had the bb2002s fitted for me in march 2003. really enjoyed hitting them throughout the early spring, but have since gone back to my taylormade 300-320-360 combo set - and getting them re-fitted and adjusted to match the callaway specs(lie and length). i would definitely credit these clubs with helping me learn to hit better iron shots, and those big bulky heads instilled extra confidence on long/mid iron shots. they have a distinctive muted 'clink' sound at impact and are somewhat forgiving(if you really clunk one, you might get some extra distance). These are NOT miracle cure-alls - you still must put a good swing on them if you want to shoot really low scores. My only reason for changing back to taylormade was that i just didn't feel like the bbs were saving me that many strokes per round(if any), and i just absolutely love the buttery, powerful feel at impact with the taylormades, especially after i had them adjusted to my proper specs. i'm still giving the bb2002s 5 stars, because they do perform beautifully when well struck. i could easily see myself going back to the bbs for short periods if my iron game began to sink. |

BB iron set is great for beginners. High handicappers who are looking for straight and consistent shots should buy this set of clubs. I had tried the BB irons, X-16 and Rac OS on the demo day at Golf Town Select before I finally chose the BB irons. My friend who also is a high handicapper doesn't admit himself as a beginner and bought a Taylor Made 320 iron set, but his shots are very unstable and not consistent. He got good shots only when he had the perfect swing, so many times he got very frustrated at the golf course. Thus, you have to recongnize at what level of skills you are at before you buy an expensive iron set. I had 109 strokes at Fraserview golf course before I bought the BB irons. Yesterday, I had only 102 strokes at the same golf course. This iron set will really lower your scores immediately. Although the price I paid may be a little bit expensive($995 Canadian $), I got a free Callaway stand bag which worths Cdn $180. Customer Service Sales at Golf Town Select, Surrey, are friendly, helpful, and professional. Similar Products Used: Dunlop Equation Plus, Taylor Made 320 irons. |

Purchased #3 to #10 Irons, steel shafts and purchsed the pitching wedge seperately with a grafite shaft because I wanted a lighter club for those delicate shots off the green. Like the looks of the club. Very forgiving. Love the feel of the long irons. Purchased the set from 2nd Swing who supplied me with a demo set for three days allowing me to make an informed choice. Have added length with theses clubs, especially with the lower irons. Customer Service Not needed to date Similar Products Used: Custom Made clubs form a local pro |

Callaway 2K BB Irons - Tour Flighted Rifle 5.5
Absolutely the most forgiving and accurate sticks on the market. If you don't believe me, go to www.rankmark.com. These clubs are ranked best of the best in two out of three handicap ranges. I purchased these clubs from ebay with some Rifle 6.0 shafts in them which were a 1/2 too long. I sent the clubs back to Callaway and had Royal Precision Tour Flighted Rifle 5.5 shafts put into them. Callaway is a top notch company. They reshafted my irons and regripped perfectly and shipped back to me via 2 day overnight express. If you don't believe me, attend a Callaway demo day and try them for yourself. Comment: The stock uniflex constant weight steel shaft is perfect for persons who swing a five iron from 69 to 82 miles per hour. If you swing faster than this, the long irons get really whippy and overflex. Customer Service Callaway gets an A++++++. The reps and my PGA pro fit the perfect clubs for me after discussions and a club fitting which included many swings with impact tape and trajectory analysis on the golf range. I have 2002 Big Bertha irons w/RCH 75i firm flex shafts. These are the best clubs that I have ever used. They are long plus very forgiving with slight mis-hits. I would say they're great for any caliber of golfer who has $750-$1000 to put in a great set of irons. Customer Service Callaway customer service is excellent. I broke my three iron one day on the course, called Callaway on Monday and on Friday of the SAME week I received a new three iron for no charge. |

I was having so much trouble trying to hit my Ping i3s for two years so I decided to try something different. Waay different. I bought the Big Berthas without ever hitting them. After 4 rounds I can say they hit the ball much higher than the Pings which is a little too high for me. Not very easy to work the ball with these clubs either. Very little feel even on off center shots, however, just enough to know where you struck the ball. I'm not sure how long I will use these clubs, but not ready to get rid of them just yet. I want to try a few more rounds with them before I decide. They are not bad clubs, just don't know if they suit me and my game or not. One thing I know for sure is I do not care for their numbering system by starting with a 4 iron and going to a 10 iron. Heck, most of what Callaway did was change the number on the iron, not the loft of the club. I realize the Wedge is 50* and most p wedges are two or three degrees less but otherwise it seems more like a marketing ploy to me. |

SIMPLY PUT: THE BEST, MOST COMFORTABLE FEELING IRONS I'VE EVER PLAYED!!!! I AM THRILLED THAT I GOT THEM. I USED TO SHOOT IN THE LOW 100- HIGH 90'S. I HAVE USED THEM NOW FOR 7 ROUNDS. SHOT MY FIRST 88. AND HAVE BEEN IN THE LOW 90'S ON EACH ROUND. SEEMS LIKE I SAVED ON AVG ABOUT 7 STROKES AT LEAST. I HIT THEM AT LEAST 15 YARDS LONGER THEN MY PREVIOUS IRONS AND STRAIGHTER TOO! THEY HAVE HELPED TO CURE MY SLICE TO A SLIGHT DRAW.WHAT A SMOOTH SWING TO FEEL. I USED TO HATE MY 4 OR 5 IRON. NOW ITS NO PROBLEM. I NOW HIT THE 4 ABOUT 180 TO 185 YARDS. LARGE SWEET SPOT. ON TOP OF ALL THIS IT REALLY BUILDS YOUR CONFIDENCE. WHAT A SET OF CLUBS. IF YOU ARE A MID TO HIGH HANDICAPPER, GET THESE AND WATCH YOUR SCORE GO DOWN. SURE THEY WERE A BIT EXPENSIVE FOR DEMO'S BUT YOU REALLY DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. THESE WERE WORTH EVERY BIT OF WHAT I PAID. IF THE CLUBS HELP AND MAKE YOU HAPPY, THEN THEY ARE WORTH EVERY DOLLAR YOU SPEND ON THEM. I ACTUALLY EVEN LIKE THE WAY THEY LOOK. WHAT CAN I SAY BAD ABOUT THESE CLUBS... NOTHING!!!!! GO GET THEM!!!! Callaway 2002 Big Bertha Irons
You have to decide what's important to you when you become obsessed with this game: looking good or playing well. After stuggling for 2.5 years with more of a player's club, I finally bit the bullet and purchased these. This club is all that is advertised. It is long, it is forgiving and it is easy to hit. It's like playing with a whole bad of rescue woods, particularly out the rough. This club will help you hit high, long, soft shots (geez, I sound like Peter Kessler for the Perfectclub), and the wedges will help you around the greens. As I say, the downside is aethetics, but then you have to decide what you want. I want lower scores. You will have to endure all the jokes, your buddies asking if you can scoop them some ice cream with the backs, how you have a place to hide during a rain delay (in the cavities) etc. You can still work the ball a little, but you need to put a bad swing on them if you intend to hook severely. Nobody will tell you, but you also have to get used to the sound, as well as the look. In your bad, you will sound like you're hauling a load of cow bells, it's not the distintictive clink as you walk around that most clubs make. Bottom line: your friends wills top laughing when you land your approach shots softly on the green. Even my buddy who is less than a 10 index plays these clubs. Demo them. Then check the ego at the door. When you break into the 80s or below consistently, you'll be happy you tried them. Customer Service Callaway Pre-owned. Excellent.
