I dismissed the notion of game improvement clubs being only perimeter weighted irons and accepted the notion that to improve your game you need tools that can allow you to work the ball to it's fullest extent. The Apex irons have allowed me to develope shot making skills that I had always envisioned having. The narrow sole allows you to pinch the ball off the turf and trapping the ball effectively for maximum shotmaking options. The set was consitant throughout in weight and balance due to Hogan's high level of quality control. Have now purchased 3 sets of Hogan Apex irons as well as the full complement of wedges. I found the Apex shafts equally effective to the Tour Flighted Rifles which I have ultimately chosen as my shaft of choice. Many friends have since followed my lead and purchased Hogan Apex irons as well. All agree they are the most beautiful and effective tools to helping a truly dedicated golfer reacch his maximum potential.

Wow....these are beautiful. And, the second shot with the 6 iron was 1 inch from the hole on a 157 yard par 3. Amazing feel. Thrilled, improvement expected. Handicap is a 10 right now, but if I can live up to these irons that will change. I have tried a variety of other clubs, but nothing has the feel that these Hogans have. I have some Hogan Edge's from the 1990s and they pale miserably in comparison, good clubs but poor feel. And for those feel players out there nothing can compare to the Apex.

These irons compared to other high performance irons are very forgiving for a miss hit shot and are really pure with a sweet strike. They are easy to work in both directions and i first tried these irons in an english international match against ireland and they proved very easy to use and easy to punch in the windy conditions. Overall a very good iron that i would recommend at all levels of golf although at £800-£1000 they are very expensive.

These irons are pure!!!! I have standard apex 4 shafts in and hit them very well. Very easy to control and shape different shots. I had a ten handicap when I bought them and with lessons and time with the irons I was able to drop it to a four handicap. The one thing that might discourage people is that they create a high ball flight. I've talked to a lot of people in golf forums and lots of people agree with me. But are very pure.

The Ben Hogan Apex irons are some of the best irons available. they gave me great feel and they look very nice in my bag. I knew i would lose some distance but i lost maybe only half a club length. i love these irons and are one of the prettiest out there.

These are very nice irons. I special ordered these irons with custom length, lie angle,shaft/flex, and grip. The result is exactly what I expected; a properly fit set of irons that setup correctly and go where you point them. I ordered mine with True Temper x-100 shafts. These are stiff shafts and really enhance trajectory and control. Two of the nicest things about these irons are feel and distance control. The forged feel provides excellent feedback...you know instantly when impact is not solid and because of the excellent feedback, you know why...so you can correct. Distance is very predictable. I''m not the longest hitter around, but with these irons, I know my 4 iron will go 190 yds time after time (assuming you put the same swing on the club). So, you can count on the distance and hit more greens in regulation.

Model Reviewed: Hogan PC

These PCs are the best clubs I have ever used. This is my first experience with blades and I love them, I can feel the shot now. I orginally wanted to buy a used set of Hogan Grinds, but waited too long to decide. Since it got sold, I decided then to buy my second choice, a set of Hogan PCs. I have never regretted it, in fact it was by far the better choice. I have never shot my irons straighter in my life. My shots, to the green, were right on the flag. It was a lot easier to get the ball to bite on the green. I used to have a hard time with my long irons, not any more,I''m just amazed. Now I''ll just pull out my 3 or 4 iron and shoot for the green. I don''t think I''ll ever go back to cavity backs, I''m having too much fun now. I also like the clean chrome looks. I''m now looking into getting several other Hogan Iron sets to try out and buy.

I use to play with knockoffs thinking those overpriced brands were not worth the money, then tried the Hogan''s at a demo days and there was no comparison to my clubs or anything else there. I got fitted a few weeks later. I''ve had some magical rounds since switching (now over a year ago) and I went back to my old set just for grins one day and it was like hitting with a set of gardening tools. Hogan makes an amazing amazing product, well worth the money and the set will last you a lifetime.

After playing with Nicklaus N1 clubs for over 10 years, I was ready for a change. My game had improved to the point where I thought I was ready for a change. For the last several years, I''ve been fighting a hook and have become bored with my current clubs. Appreciating the asthetics of blades, I decided to find a good deal on ebay and invest. The Apex PCs come with very stiff shafts as most blades do. I''ve recently changed the shaft to a regular flex shaft and wow! These clubs have an incredible feel. They are so accurate too. I am really excited about these blades. In the future, I see myself purchasing a new set. I will never be a great golfer, but the enjoyment of the game for me is hitting fine golf shots. To know that I''ve hit a well struck golf shot that has not been hidden by perimeter weighting, what a feeling. Try some blades out, you might just like it. You don''t have to be scratch to enjoy fine golf clubs. I''m living proof.

I got these blades with the hope of gaining some playability, feel, and distance from my old cavity backs. The feel is good and the playability is there, but with hogen #4 shafts combined with the extra lofts on these clubs i''m finding that I''ve lost distance with a very high ball flight. I''ll try them with some riffles and if that doesn''t work will have to lokk for some new clubs.
