I HAVE BEEN PLAYING APEX PLUS THE PAST YEAR BUT WASN'T SATISFIED WITH THE OVERALL ABILITY TO SHAPE SHOTS.WHILE THE PC'S ARE LESS FORGIVING THE DIFFERENCE IS MUCH LESS THAN I ANTICIPATED.I WOULD SAY EVERY GOLFER SHOULD TRY A SET OF BLADES AND SEE IF THEY ARE RIGHT FOR YOU.

Wow, I am so impressed just looking at them. They are so beautifully made and shaped that I do not even want to hit all the clubs so I can enjoy watching them. Great feel as anticipated these might be a bit better overall than my mp-14's. Blades are awesome; they really tells you exactly what you are doing right and wrong. Everyone should have one of these or the Mizuno's to really get the enjoyment of hitting the ball. again just so beautiful sitting there. I am in love......

The soft carbon steel and the muscle back as well as the minimized offset make this club the absolute best club I have ever used in my entire golf career.
(36yrs). Try these clubs and I promise you your will never search through the golf magazines, internet, or pro shops looking for the perfect set of irons because they'll be in your bag.

Customer Service

The paint on the #5 on my 5 iron came partially off and I sent it in under warrantee. They sent me a new 5 iron, a Ben Hogan hat,& a letter of apoligy

For all those player haters that reviewed these awesome clubs as bad...wake up! The Hogan Apex Plus are best clubs in the market. Other try to mimick...and some do come close...in the case of Mizuno (14,29 and the new 33) but there is just no comparable competition when it comes down to it...
the name Hogan is synonymous to tradition, history and greatness...
for all those who are considering to get the Apex Plus or Edge...DON'T...
not to say that they aren't good clubs but nothing compares to the true forged Apex...don't be affraid of forged clubs...its really not that tough to hit and when you finally make solid contact...you will never go back!!

Good irons. Decent swingweight. I like the stock grips. There are a couple of brands in the same category but these are nicer. The shafts feel a little whippy but I had previously been playing a set of rifles so maybe that's it. I will look into re-shafting and get back to you. Pretty satisfied so far.

Have been hitting blades for over 30 years and dearly wanted to try hitting something other than a 5 iron at a practice range. Neither an e-mail to the local Spalding rep, nor a phone message left for a manager in Fort Worth could even produce a response. Their customer service department thinks it's okay to take 10 days to respond to e-mails. NO thanks, they look great, I've heard good things about them but there's too many choices out there to put up with this kind of service. I can only imagine how hard they'd be to deal with if one had a problem after the sale.

Customer Service

Horrible, do not respond to either e-mails or phone calls.

I have always thought the MP-29s were the best irons I've ever used. Not any more. I tried the Apex blades and immediately traded my Callaway Pros. I've had several sets of blades, but the combination of muscleback carbon and X-flex rifles is magical.

Simply the best irons I've ever seen, heard and felt. These clubs are so pure. This is my first set of forged blades and I love them. You can shape your shots any way you want to. If you have a smooth swing these clubs are right for you.

Customer Service

Have not had a problem yet that I have need to contact them
