What a great set of clubs. From 3 thru pw, I have incredible confidence. This says alot since my last set of Evo v-31 I took my 3 & 4 iron out of the bag to keep me out of trouble. The price is a little spendy, but knowing what I know now I would pay double if I had too.

these clubs are for a specific golfer, and i just happen to be one of them. they give you fantastic confidence at address, and they are quite easy to hit, the easiest set i've played. make sure you get the right shaft for your game on these irons. anyway, these are great, great clubs and i highly suggest anyone to check them out.

The most forgiving of the Hogan series of forged irons. I have tried the Apex Plus, but the Apex Edge are for more forgiving. The look, playability, and performance of these clubs is great. By far the best set of clubs I have owned. These irons, being forgiving, still allow you to create your shot. This is definately the best investment I have made thus far. They are keepers!

Just purchased these last week to replace my old Top Flite Tour Pro Grinds. What a difference! The Hogans are a lot heavier which is good for me since I like to feel where the club is at throughout my swing. These clubs are perfect! They offer enough game improvement features to give you plenty of confidence and the feel you get when you hit these flush is second to none. I could hit low draws or high fades almost at will. Someone that shoots in the 70''s could probably do it with ease. These are a great product offered by the Ben Hogan company. I would recommend that anyone that is looking at Titleist 762''s test these out as well. I just don''t think there''s any comparison to these or any of the other clubs Hogan makes.

Excellent set of irons. Amazing feel for a set of irons labelled for game improvement. Excellent feedback on how the ball was struck and where impact on the club face occurred. I have had the clubs for about 1 month now and each week I have seen improvement in my ball striking. I have cut 5 strokes off my handicap in that time period. Short irons are very accurate with great distance control. Mid to long irons are easy to get up in the air and have a penetrating ball flight that keeps their line well in windy conditions. Irons are fairly workable, in shaping shots especially the longe irons. If you are looking for a set of game improvement irons with great feel, no need to look any further.

Model Reviewed: Hogan Apex Edge Forged Irons

I had played Hogan Apex blades over the years that I really liked, but had to give them up a few years back when I started to play less. The old Apex blades were just not very forgiving, but I thought they were a great club just the same. I purchased a new set of Hogan Apex EDGE forged irons about 2-months ago (Feb ''02) to replace my Ping I-3 blades that were mis-behaving. These have the #4 stiff steel shafts, and they are definitely the most forging club I have ever played. I did have to have the club''s adjusted to a more up-right lie, and once I had that done, I became an even bigger fan of the Apex Edge. Off- center hits still manage to go towards the intended target, and distance loss is very minimal, if any. I am again a big fan of Hogan clubs, and I intend to play Hogan clubs for a long, long time.

Great irons. Much better than my old Calloway X-14s. Better feel and more consistent distance. Absolutely love them.

Great clubs. I am using the 5.5 Flighted Rifle shafts, and my ball trajectory has improved, especially in the long irons. Weight and feel are great. One thing to note: Initially when playing my irons, I found that my clubs were 1+ degrees upright, and in the shorter irons the loft varied by as much as 3 degrees. Once I had them adjusted, everything was fine. This was odd as my irons were received new in the box. I would definitely recommend checking the loft/lie when purchasing.

I love the feel and weight of club. Big question to others who play this club, do you hit the 3 or 4 shaft? The gentleman who fit me went with the 3 even though i normally have hit the 4 in the past. Any and all comments on shaft please. I took his word for it, that the Hogan 3 is stiffer than a true temper gold R, but not psyched with performance so far. Any help apprecaited!

I''m thrilled. I''ve been testing a lot of different clubs(Mizuno mx-11, callaway x-14, callaway x-14 pro series, Cleveland ta7) and finally settled on the Apex Edge. I did so because of the forged feel and overall forgiveness of the clubs. Even though I''m a 7 handicap and can shoot in the 70''s, I liked the fact of the forgiveness. I tried blades, but couldn''t hit them consistantly. I played 9 holes today to give them a test and was so pleased on most of the shots, that I couldn''t believe it.When they are hit well, it''s almost an effortless feeling. I would suggest these irons to anyone...I doubt I''ll ever change. Oh, by the way, I shot even par for my first 9 holes I ever played with these clubs.
