These clubs are great !! I realy wasn't sure whether I would be able to play that clubs. But these baby's are great. So much more feedback than my old cobra CXIs. And for a forged club a lot of forgiveness. I especially like the low ball flight. For my relatively slow swing speed the grafite shafts are perfect. In case you shop for new irons, give it a try. They might be a bit expensive but they are great, the looks are just brilliant and in case you will sale them later (very unlikely !!) you will get a good price. These clubs are great, I've tried all the others out there, Ping, Titleist, Mizuno, Taylor Made, and Cleveland. None have the combination of feel, forgiveness, workability that these have. Do yourself a favor get them now. Similar Products Used: EVERYTHING |

I have played blade irons for the past 20 years. In between, I have tried a variety of cavity backs, mainly from Ping and Mizuno. After seeing a forged cavity back win the USO, it occurred to me that perhaps that was good enough for me as well. Hogan is the only name in irons, so that's where I went. Found a set 1 long and 2 up , Apex 4, perfect fit. The Edge Pro have a slightly heavier head feel than blades, but in a positive way (both 1 long, which adds swingweight). The sticks have good feed back, good enough, and the ball flight is high and strong. Maybe best described as purposeful. My blades had the exact same loft progression as these Edge Pros (the blades were custom ordered 2 deg strong), but nonetheless, I am hitting these sticks significantly further, 10-15 yds, and I don't know why. Forgiveness, compared to the blades, is incredible. Accuracy has been quite good. Dead center strikes are no longer critical. The Edge Pro heads are a bit larger than the blades, but not so bad as to be a problem from tight lies - unlike many other cavity back sticks. I normally hit 14 greens a round w/ my Hogan blades, but am not close enough, often enough, to drop enough putts to get below par consistently. Recent experience says that may change. The clubs are easy to hit. Hogan is the only name to go to in irons. Coming from blades, I feel like I am cheating. Thanks Hogan, wonderfully thought out clubs. I bought these irons off Ebay for 475 and cannot be more pleased! I am a 12 handicap and instantly loved these irons from the first couple range balls that I hit. Great trajectory for me out of the Apex 4 shaft. Very solid with great feel. I moved from more of a game improvement DCI with heavy offset to this set of Hogan's. Instantly helped my confidence at address agaisnt hooking the ball (Which is where my swing struggles when things go bad). I have no trouble working the ball both ways with these sticks and am extremely pleased with the purchase. Customer Service Have not had to try, but they are Hogans so I would not anticipate any problems. I had my self set on some mizuno mp-30's but I would have to have the lie adjusted on the them. So, I kept on trying clubs out. None impressed me until I hit the apex pro's... Wow!!!! The straightest hitting sticks I've tried. I do like the feel of the mp-30's a little bit better. The apex 4 shafts are suprisingly good. These will definately move the level of your game up. Hogan Edge Pro's
Ben Hogan clubs have been referred to as the Rolls Royce of golf clubs and their looks and playability are testiment to why they are so highly regarded. These Edge Pro's are the sweetest hitting forged clubs out there. I've tried the Nike's and the new Titlest 690MB's. The Nike's felt brittle to me and the Titlest's were nice, but too much dough for not enough go. Also, Edge Pro's are gorgeous looking clubs. They give you a very positive inner feeling about them. When your game gets into the low seventies, or better, it's the small things that make all the difference. Having a positive feeling about the club you are holding in your hands goes a long way in helping you shave a few strokes off of your score. These clubs do just that. Not only can you work the ball as needed, but you'll feel good in doing so. No other club I've hit delivers the same crispness that these Edge Pro's give you for feedback. It is hard to go wrong with a golf company that was founded by one of the true masters of the game and has been around since 1953. Customer Service Excellent. Quick response and professional service. Had direct contact with the Hogan people at Spaulding. Similar Products Used: Nike Forged, Titleist 690MB, Wilson Staff forged blades. |

These irons are awsome. I tried the titliest progessives, ping i3, 990, and maxfli. These irons have by far way better feel and control. The shaft technology in them is the best part. I recomened these irons to evry level golfer. |

A great iron..Just a great feel when hit flush and not overly harsh when mis-hit. Apex Shaft has always been extremely underated. Clubs do tend to be short at first but distance came back over time. Ball flight is perfect when club is adjusted to proper swing etc. Ben Hogan Company is easily one of the finest clubmakers out there. Wonderful clubs! My first set of clubs were the Hogan Edge Forged irons and I didn't like the feeling when you didn't hit the ball properly. I've gone through a number of sets and when I saw the Apex Edge Pro irons in one of the golf shops, I decided to give it a try. I've been able to keep my scores at the 80's with these! They're perfect! Customer Service NA |

All I can say is WOW!! Being a 10 hcp I was a little worried that a forged club would hurt my game more than help. I bought these with out a demo off ebay, based mainly on the reviews I read here. i could not be happier with the chance I took on these irons. These irons are easy to hit, you can tell when you hit a less than perfect shot by the feel but you will be amazed by the results of the off centre hits as much as you will be by the perfect hits. Thanks to this site I took a chance on these irons & could not be happier with the irons & golfreview.com. Customer Service non required yet Similar Products Used: none |
