Adams Golf GT Irons

Adams Golf GT Irons

DESCRIPTION

From Adams Golf: "The Tight Lies GT Irons offer a revolutionary design bringing together the best of both worlds - the first ever irons that offer the combination of steel and graphite in one shaft. Adams' patented multi-material GT Shaft uses a high-strength, graphite tip that is 50% stronger than steel. This means optimal stability at impact for consistently straighter shots." ...More graphite in the long irons promotes a higher ball flight and greater forgiveness, less in the short irons promotes a lower more controlled trajectory.

What a wonderful irons. They are really good iron sets for me. They give me 15% more distance. Feel is good. Thanks for the bi-matrix shaft(graphite/steel combo). If you wonder the grahite or steel is more suitable. Go for Tight Lies . It give you best of the two world.

I hit a demo at the store and right then and there I knew these were the clubs for me. I recently purchased a new set and I am amazed about how the ball feels coming off of the clubs. My shots have been straight and consistent. I have now dropped a few strokes putting me closer to breaking 75 for the first time. If you have a decent swing, I recommend these irons. These are the best clubs that I have hit yet.

I couldn''t hit my 3 iron for the life of me. I don''t know if it was mental or my swing. So I went out and purchased the 21 i-Wood. I had hit the club at a golf shop and was amazed. It felt like I was crushing the ball. The feeling I got back from the club was awsome. I found a great deal on ebay and have been calling this my "Wonder Club" ever since. Yeah, I catch some heat from my buddies, but when I hit the thing 225 off the tee or 210 off the deck they stop talking. I love the club and have even thought about getting the 24 and chunking out my 4 iron. I sort of feel like a cop out for not hitting the 3 iron, but instead of getting frustrated being 210 out, now I look forward to it. The sound at impact is amazing and the ball zings off the club face. Even mis-hits go far and straight. The club seems too good to be true. I liked the way the i-Wood felt much better than the Taylor Made Rescue club.ç

Purchased a a few months ago. set. They are now available for resale. Some posters have mentioned a similar problem to what I am experiencing. I cannot avoid hooking the ball on the short irons and hook a fair amount of the mid-irons.

I shoot in the 90's but since I got these clubs I now shoot high 80's. It's not just confidence in New clubs, they are long, straight and predictable. They have game improvement features to assit golfers such as myself. They are custom fitted in the UK in my case by American Golf Discount. I laso use Adams fairway Tour 15 deg wood and 19 deg original Tight Lies. It did seem alot of money but it was owrth it. I enjoy my golf so much more.

These clubs hit the ball pure and straight. The distance control is outstanding. There is ample feedback on missed shots, and pure hits are very crisp.

Very good irons. A big surprise. Easy to hit despite being tour version. Long irons ease and all irons very accurate.

My iron play has never been better. I'm about one club longer than with my last set of irons. Short irons are right on line and long irons are so easy to get up in the air I'm considering taking my seven wood out of the bag. Solid contact is so soft and pure....kind of like hitting the meat of the bat when hitting a baseball. The wedges are too explosive for delicate chips from the short side (my Cleveland 51* wedge solved that problem) but wedges are accurate on longer finesse shots. The bi-matrix shaft is for real AS LONG AS YOU'RE FITTED FOR THE CORRECT FLEX!!!!!!!!!! Value rating is at four stars because the price is my only complaint. Then again, most golf equipment these days is quite expensive.

Customer Service

No experience with customer service but the Adams authorized fitter I went to did a great job.

Obtained the GT irons soon after their release. I had played pings that were fitted. While my scoring has not improved much --putting and short game are not fixed by new clubs! -- my golf mates have all commented on the improvement of my iron play. I now hit the ball consistently straighter. Although I've played about 25 rounds and have hit the driving range, I still have trouble gauging the longer distance. Very pleased.
