The Titleist 975F is by far the most consitent fairway wood I have ever used. The Trajectory is great, and the weighting and head size is also great. It gets very good distance and center hits get very good feedback. Titleist 975F
I have been playing the original Titleist 975F 3-wood for a few years now. It is a bore through head with a UST ProForce 65 Stiff shaft. I am very long, straight, and consistent with this club. It has really helped a lot lately with lowering my scores by getting me to some long Par 5''''s in two. I would strongly urge you to buy this club if you haven''''t already done so! Customer Service The people at Titleist are great! I have dealt with them on several times and they have been extremely helpful and quick to respond. What can I say? This is the most beautiful club I have played outside of persimmon woods. I do admit, the small head of the 18.5º model looks intimidating after teeing up all those 300cc+ drivers that are out today. This problem was quickly resolved after one bucket of balls. Fantastic club. I can fade or draw the ball perfectly at will. Amazing feel. I also bombed it. I hit it almost as far as my 3 wood a couple of times. Good club, good value (at right places :p), good name. Can''t really go wrong if you''re a better than average player that plays regularly. Not to say that the average Joe can''t hit it, but it might take a consistent swing to get the full benefits of this great club. Customer Service None needed so far. I have to say that my 18.5 degree 975f is a beast. It''''''''s my "Scoring Wood". I normally play a fade, but with this club I can wrap a fade or draw around a tree at will and I can back off on it on long par-3s. The 13.5 is more of a 2-wood. I haven''''''''t been able to work it. Maybe I''''''''ll get the 14.5 instead. Customer Service NA Similar Products Used: Steelhead Plus (Awesome) |

None I purchased this club used in excellent condition with a stiff grafalloy prolite fairway shaft. At golfsmith I was hitting the club between 255 and 265 yards with a slight draw. The club can be difficult to hit unless you are a serious golfer and you have time to practice. The club can also be unforgiving, my miss hits only go about 210 yards and my solid hits go 255+. When the club is hit well it is amazing and it beats any other fairway wood, but when you miss hit the club you pay the price. None This is a really great club. I purchased it in June, and took it to the range the day I bought it. It was awesome. It did take some getting used to, but if you put a good swing on the ball, the results are consistent and very pleasing. It is a players'' club, unlike the Callaway which sends the ball off at a higher trajectory. When I started looking at new woods, I tried the mizuno, titleist and callaway. All are excellent clubs, and it when came down to the Mizuno or Titleist for me, I went with the Titleist and am very happy. I am high school golfer and can hit it consistently around 240-250. It is not difficult to play with out of the rough, and on some tight par 4''s, I use it on the drive. It is a great club, but make sure it is the right one for you. None I used to have one of the first metal woods made in the Lynx Predator. I loved that one but it was weak in the hosel so I had to park it. I went to an offset 2 iron which is inconsistant and I can''t use it well out of the rough. This wood is relatively small compared to other new clubs and can get through rough very well. I am able to get good distance and a higher trajectory. I can count on 225 yards with great accuracy. This has become one of the best clubs in my bag. I really don''t need a 13.5 degree, but this club goes so well I am considering the addition. Similar Products Used: Callaway. Olimar |

None I was hitting a Callaway Hawkeye 12.5 degree 3+ but couldn''t get the ball off the turf. Off the tee it''s sweet, but it didn''t do the trick off the fairway. I use a 975D so I thought I''d play with the 975F. I grabbed a 13.5 degree with a Grafalloy prolite fairway shaft. I fould that getting down and getting the ball is no trouble. The trajectory is somewhat lower than I would have expected and sometimes leaves me hitting an 18 degree where I was used to hitting the 13. It gives up nothing in distance and does not tend to balloon shots allowing for ample roll out. I am not able to stop it as well as I hoped due to the low trajectory, but it makes a very adequate 3 Wood for it''s ability to bang it up the fairway 250 or so. All in all, if I am playing a short course, I put the Callaway in my bag. If I''m playing a long course I carry the titleist. I do this because the short courses allow more use of a 5 wood than a three. I don''t see replacing the club anytime soon. Similar Products Used: Callaway Hawkeye 3+ |

Let me start by saying that I've never been much of a fairway wood player. My set has been a Driver and 1-LW for a long, long time. For some reason over the past few years the 1 iron, which used to be my best club, has slowly become my worst. I have no idea why. Customer Service 5 weeks is too da#*@! long to wait for one club. Get it together, Titleist! Similar Products Used: No other fairway woods. Nearly all the Titleist products I've tried have been very pleasing though. |
