Pros: Distance, feel, right size, easy to hit off tee or grass Cons: Shaft is more flexible than expected...get fitted and try it first! The Bottom Line: Hit ''''em far and straight. Outstanding feel. One of the best fairway woods out there. Recommended: Yes Read my full review here: http://www.epinions.com/content_44540661380

Customer Service

OK. Took back club when shaft broke...but took a few weeks to have it fixed. I had to pay for shipping. Callaway replaced with new one right away.

I have never hit with this club before my trip, so I took it down with me to Pete Dye''s down at Barefoot golf resort in Myrtle Beach. I simply crush the ball with this wood. This club gave me a tremendous control especially off the fairway. I brought the par 5 down to its knees simply crushing it off the fairway piercing through the wind like no other club that I have ever experienced. If you need distance and control off the fairway and who doesn''t this is the right club for you.

This club is great! I purchased the 3 and 5 wood. I am hitting the ball a lot further and more consistently. The 5 wood is great off the fairway. I have hit some great shots from some not so great lies. These 2 clubs have me scoring much closer to the 90''s. Since I bought them I have gone from a 34 to a 29 handicap. Just one word of advice - do not try to overpower your swing with these clubs. A nice easy swing has gotten me long and straight hits. I highly reccomend the PING I3

The 14 degree loft club came with the Ping steel JZ stiff shaft. The club was easy to hit, but the trajectory was much to high for my taste. I traded the club for a Adams Tight Lies Tour with a True Temper EI-70 shaft 15 degree loft. The Adams produced a penetrating ball flight that I wanted. I am pretty sure the shaft in the Ping was the problem. Make sure you test the club outside before you buy it.

This is a great club. My swing speed of mid 80''s gets me 200 yards. The bi-matrx shaft by True Temper is just right. The impact provides a very nice "clink" sound.

Model Reviewed: Ping ISI fairway 5wd/3wd

I have played both the Ping ISI 3wd and 5d. I find the 3wd to be inconsistent in distance. Whether I hit it off the fairway or off the tee, I really think this 3wd club does not really meet my expectations. The head is very small and I just am more confident with a larger and more forgiving head. I tend to miss the sweet spot occasionally and I just don''t get the results that I would expect. I probably would be happier with the Ping titanium 3wd. It is larger and more forgiving. However, I am ecstatic with the Ping ISI 5wd. The flight of the ball is a nice draw and plenty of distance. It is accurate and I am very confident with this 5 wd. Very happy with this club

I HAD ONE FOR A SHORT TIME AND FOUND THE DISTANCES TO BE INCONSISTENT. THE HEAD IS ALSO A LOT SMALLER THAN I WOULD LIKE. IT''S TOUGH TO GO FROM A 300+ C.C. DRIVER AND THEN SETUP WITH A DINKY FAIRWAY WOOD.

This is the single best fairway wood on the market. It is superb off of the tee as well as off of the deck. It is easy to work either way. This club will be in the bag for a while. Give it a try.

I was in the market for a new 3 wood and hit every 3 wood available from Steelhead to Hawkeye to Quadpro to Kasco, etc, then to Ping. Contrary to the negative review by Pete, I found the Ping to be very long as well as very straight. Maybe the shaft Pete chose wasn''t the proper shaft for him. My Ping I3 is the 2 degree upright model with a 350S Stiff graphite shaft. I can hit this club 245-250 easily with a nice draw. Great feel, solid club.

Customer Service

Having read the reviews on this site I rushed out and bought the 14 degree 3 wood...what a dissapointment! Ok, it is easy to hit, goes straight, but loses huge distance on my current £20 Mc Gregor 3 Wood. The ball flight is more like a 5 wood, into the wind it goes nowhere. I have since purchased the Callaway Steelhead 3 wood.....now this is a great club!
