Excellent club. I haven't experienced the difficulties other reviewers have had with pop-ups. I tee it as high as I want with no problems. |

Why do we ignore great clubs at a great value and choose great clubs at inflated value! I have hit the 975D & J, PING, ORLIMAR HipTI and NIKE drivers/woods. All these clubs hit well and long. The Tri-Metals easily match them and are just as forgiving! I paid $99 for a 8+ and 16+ woods that have the EI-70 Stiff shaft. They are the best woods I have owned! Great off the tee and good on the fairways! Similar Products Used: PING, Titleist, NIKE |

I have not been able to hit these clubs as good as my old steel shaft TM's. When i would hit it good it was good but good shots were too few and far between. I have the firm shaft which feels real stiff at times. Also, feel real light. Similar Products Used: TM, Callaway, Spalding |

Orlimar TriMetal 19 Deg. Firm Flex
Most consistent club in my bag. I agree you have to tee it low - and swing smoothly. I can always count on this 5 wood on the tee for a long, high carry, exactly where I want it. Hooks and slices when you try to kill it. Fairly forgiving off the tee, but not so forgiving off the fairway or in the rough. Still, when you hit it true from the fairway - good distance, great feel. Overall, a great value, reliable club for those looking to upgrade on the cheap. Similar Products Used: None |

I have to admit, these clubs are not very forgiving, but the clubface is not that large. These clubs are solid at impact and turn my normal straight shot to a slight draw. The distance is average. All in all, these clubs are good and a steal for the price. I demoed the Steelhead III and owned the original Big Berthas. The Trimetals are better overall than the BB, and I do not notice a significant difference between the Trimetal and Steelhead III, so why pay the price? Also, please do not tee the ball with the Trimetals unless you want the ball to fly 250 yards, straight up. Customer Service Do not know... Similar Products Used: See review... |

Orlimar Tri Metal
What is wrong with the golfing world, that one can buy an Orilmar Tri Metal virtually anywhere for about what you would pay for a tie? Or that I asked my local golfshop buddy if he would take my tri metal on trade (because I bought a 17 degree that I hit exactly as far as my Callaway 3 wood, and I wanted one I could hit 15-20 shorter), and he told me he would "charge me $10 to take it". Are we so infatuated with new stuff that we cast (so to speak) these great clubs aside like empty Coke cans? I ask you. Here is a club that hits great off the fairway, is nice and solid-feeling at impact, and handsome in all respects, yet we shove it out of our way as we forage through used club barrels as we search for Callaways and Titleists. This little dude is a great club who deserves more. Have some compassion, golfers everywhere. Leave your ties at home and buy one of these. |

I absolutely love this club. I traded in a Adams Tight Lies 16 degree model for this club and couldn't be happier. It gets the job done on par 5's that I couldn't reach in two before. A perfect club from 220 - 245 yards. Customer Service Fine Similar Products Used: TM Burner, Adams Tight Lie |

Orlimar Trimetal 13* Fairway Wood
The best thing that ever happened to me was for the standard firm shaft to break. I recently had it replaced with a True Temper steel Dynamic Gold S300 Wood Shaft, and the difference is night and day. I honestly never would have beleived that a shaft would make such a huge difference, but the performance is now remarkable; straight, long and consistent. The bottom line is that the older Orlimar''s have excellent heads, but dreadful shafts. The TT Dynamic Gold S300 is an outstanding and inexpensive alternative. I put the same shaft on my 7.5* Orlimar driver, with the same outstanding results. My rating would be a 1.0 with the standard shaft, but a 5.0 with the Dynamic Gold Steel shaft. Customer Service Terrible. Because I did not have a receipt, they basically ignored me and stopped returning my e-mail messages. Olimar 13*
As my handicap dropped and after hearing a lot of positive feedback from other players, I decided to get the 13* for a strong 3 wood. This club is very good if you only want to hit a right to left shot. Every shot I have every hit with this club has been a draw or hook. Not only is it not very workable, but the distance is not that good. I can generally hit equally as long and much more accurately my 3 iron. If you want a very good low profile fairway wood, get the Ram Concept 15* Scoring Wood. It''s longer off the fairway and tee, and equally as consistant with maybe just a touch more workability. It also has a higher ball flight and land with less roll. The Ram is available at www.tgw.com for $30 in both a regular and stiff graphite shaft. The stiff shaft is excellent, but the grip sucks. At $30, you can afford to get it reshafted and have enough money left over to play a round. Overall, I think the Olimar 13* is a good club, but it couldn''t produce the results I need on the course. Your mid-handicap golfer would be extremely happy with this, especially the ability to turn the ball over. Just remember that a great reputation doesn''t mean anything. Try before you buy! TM Driver and 19 deg
Strength:
None
Weakness:
None The driver is a revelation and I regularly stuff it 300 yds straight. Excellent profile to head and explosive contact. Makes by old Callaway look fat and limp-wristed at address. The shaft suits my swing perfectly. The 19 degree is also extremely versatile and the only fairway wood I can hit consistently. I can work it fairly well but shaft lends itself to a hook if I punish it with a fast swing. I would probably fit/buy a stiffer model next time. Overall for both clubs, I would say that they are a matter of taste. Some people will not like them due to looks, low profile or purely because they are not the most fashionable items - however they are normally impressed once they''ve lost their cash on the Sunday four-ball. I would buy them again with little hesitation. Customer Service Good - but never had to test them with a problem. Similar Products Used: Callaways Steelheads, GBBTi and Taylor Made Burners |
