X 7Wood, and X Hot
This is a great club. The regular X Fairway woods are easy to hit from all lies. The 7 Wood has a really high trajectory for long approaches that stick. The X Hot is almost as great as a driver from the tee. Mine goes only 20 yards shorter than my driver. But the XHot is difficult to play off the deck. You'll have a hard time hitting that from the rough. Both have great clicks on impact. This is a great club, and I highly recommend getting one. Similar Products Used: Steelhead III |

X-Hot Fairway Wood
Any body looking for that long 3 wood that you can count on being your go to club when your driver is errant, look no farther. Any body looking for that long 3 wood that you can nail off the deck, look no farther. This club is so easy to hit you'll tend to lean on it to much. It took about two rounds to get used to the 44 inch shaft but now that I am it's terrific. The larger head gives you confidence to swing free and the low profile just picks the ball clean. Off the tee you won't believe it. |

X-Hot 3W, 5W, 3h
Alright, listen up chumps. I have not swung a club is almost two years because of a wrist injury. I'm healthy now and looking for new set from my Zevo 1W-SW. I went to my local Pro-shop to get sized and see what works best for me. Swinging every fairway wood out there I find the X-Hots to be amazing and out performed all others. Even mis-hits were pretty accurate. I was crunching the 3W off the tee box with no tee 260 yards with incredible precision. The same can be said for the 5W accuracy. The 3H is a very nice alternative to a traditional 3 iron. Felt very conforting at address and with a slowed tempo hit it 210 yards with nice loft. My tendency is to hit a little fat and left, but this never happened with 8 swings of the 3W. Awsome!! Customer Service Have not tried. Similar Products Used: Everything out there to date. X Hybrid 3H 21deg
The X-hybrid is simply amazing. I just finished around with it and it just performs as intended. Can be hit high and low. There's no need to force the issue with this club. 185-195 yards, this club is world. Shots into green has enough spin to hold the green. Face is quite hot. Just easy and instinctive to use. I recommend to anyone looking for a simple point and shoot hybrid to replace their 3irons or 4irons. Customer Service never tried them. Similar Products Used: Halo; Rescue-mid tp |

X Hot
I read somewhere that oversized fairway woods are gimmicky. That writer obviously never tried out this X Hot fairway wood. I cannot get over how easy this thing is to hit. It's easy to line up and when you look down you just feel like you're going to hit it a mile.
Customer Service Callaway is tops - they make every club in my bag. Similar Products Used: You name it, but I've used Callaway exclusively for a while now. I previously wrote here for the regular X fairway wood. A fantastic club, but I swapped it out for the X hot. |

Callaway X 3 Wood
I purchased this club based on Golf Digest's top notch "Hot List" rating. It was an adequate performer based on distance but I wasn't able to consistently align this club to my target -- and what good is hitting a great shot in the wrong direction? I've since sold it and purchased a Nike T-60 3-wood which is longer, a tad straighter and most importantly easier to align. There's something about the Nike's classical pear shape and addition of a regular hosel (as opposed to Callaway's tru-bore design) that assists me in properly framing this club to my target. And I was pleasantly surprised with the Nike's +10 yds distance. In summary I think its very important to demo a club before purchasing and not rely on "expert magazine reveiws". The reviews can certainly assist but "try before you buy"! Customer Service None required. Similar Products Used: Nike T-60, Cleveland Launcher, Taylor Burner |

X Hybrid 2H 18*, stiff
Needed a new hybrid to fill the gap between my 3 iron and 3w and tried several brands on the range. It came down to the Ping G5 and Callaway X hybrids. I chose the X hybrid mainly because I really like the feel, sound, and appearance of the X hybrid better. I wish I could tell you that the X performed better than the G5 but it didn't. For the most part both clubs performed very well. The X hybrid is easy off the fairway and light rough and has a penetrating ball flight. The leading edge really does a nice job getting through the turf. Off the tee is fantastic, easy to work a draw or fade. Bottomline, you can't go wrong with these hybrids, and in my opinion the traditional look, feel, and sound are a plus. Customer Service N/A bought off Ebay brand new with warranty. and saved some $$. Callaway x4 and 3 wood (x hot)
This is a tale of two cities. The first is unreal. If you really do not need to carry both a 3 wood and a 5 wood, look at the Callaway X 4 wood or 4+ wood. It is outstanding off the fairway and very good off the tee. I cannot say enough great things about this club. It carries high and far, lands soft. Spin is moderate. It is easy to hit a draw off the tee or a fade from the fairway. In this age of hybrids (I use a Callaway 3 hybrid), this is the only fairway wood you need.
Customer Service Callaway always makes a great product...no issues to date. |

Callaway x 4 wood
As a 11 handicapper I am not extemely long off the tee ( avg around 230 ) so on long par 4's & especially par 5's find myself with some distance to the green. I have not been able to find a 3 wood that I liked or fit my game for years so have not carried one. Finally tried the x 4 wood and it fit the bill. Sets up perfect, easy smooth swing with Fujikura regular shaft , for me from fairway perfect from 200yrds. Highly recommed for those who still struggle from that range or cannot get used to the hybrids. Bought at Edwin Watts where they let me hit off monitor prior to purchse. Customer Service Play all Callaway clubs always been excellent Similar Products Used: Taylor Made 580 5 wood |

Callaway X Hot 3W, Banzai Stiff
I play off a 10 handicap and this club suits me very well. The first thing you need to ask yourself before hitting this club is what do you want your 3W to do? The clubhead is 200cc and the shaft is 44 inches which make this a large and long 3W. For me I need a 3W that is primarily great off the tee. I hit my Nike Sumo driver and avg. of 270, and most par 5's where I live are around 500yds. Therefore I rarely need to hit my 3W off the fairway. What I was looking for was a 3W which I could launch 240-250 off the tee, especially on the short par 4's (approx. 350yds). The club sets up nicely, clean look, and the head doesn't appear to be too large for me. The shaft is great for this club, a Fuji Banzai as the stock shaft has a nice feel with a tip that is stable at impact. The ball flight is penetrating off both the tee and fairway. I have had NO problems off the fairway with this club even though it is quite large for a 3W. Out of the rough the head is too big and the shaft too long for adequate performance. But if you are hitting your 3W out of the rough what do you really expect to happen anyway? Bottomline for me....this is a great 3W which I can control into the wind and rely on if my driver is off for the day. Exactly what my 3W needs to do for me. Customer Service n/a bought off Ebay for $150 new in the wrapper. Gotta love Ebay! Similar Products Used: Big Bertha 2004, Cleveland Launcher |
