Steelhead Plus #3 ( 3 wood)
very impressive performance.. I have also change the shaft to regular flex RCH 75. the shot comes pretty straight to 230 yards easily. When hit off center the result is still very acceptable. Like it and keeping it. Similar Products Used: Big Bertha Warbird 10 degrees |

Steelhead Plus 3 Wood with Graphite Stiff Shaft
This is a tremendous 3 wood. I can hit very accurately from about 275 and in. I'll tee off with it on short or narrow par 4's. The only problem I have encountered with it is that my ball flight is too high. However, that is most likely a result of something I do and not the club's fault. Oh, it is also great for those tricky behind a tree shots. Customer Service not needed Similar Products Used: Titleist 975 |

Callaway Steelhead (original) 3+
My visiting friend gave me his Steelhead when he went back to Oregon and it has been a great addition to my bag. At first I couldn't hit it to save my life but then I noticed how weak the regular graphite shaft is so I tried slowing down my swingspeed and using a smooth tempo. What a difference! It takes almost no effort at all to launch it straight down fairway. I would recommend the strong 3 instead of a regular 3 because it gives you added distance and it's just as easy to get airborn. Word to the wise: Get one shaft stronger than you are used to, they are really flexible. |

Steelhead III
Went to a club demo and ended up buying a Hawkeye VFT driver and Steelhead III 7 wood with steel shaft. Absolutely love the 7-wood. It goes long and usually straight. Had trouble with the Hawkeye (too low trajectory)and found a Callaway club fitting. The pro ended up recommending the lower cost Steelhead III 12 deg. driver. Also got the matching 3 wood, both in light graphite. The driver is great, more consistent than the Hawkeye. The 3-wood has a tendency to fade. Lately I've been hitting the 7 wood off the tee a lot more. The steel shaft just feels good and I like the loud metal ping when I strike the ball. Customer Service Haven't tried them. Callaway steelhead III 15 deg. 3 wood Great quality and nicely priced!!! Love the weight on the sole of the head. Makes it easy the hit high airborne shots that fly a mile!!! Great soft grip for normal size hands. I use it for my tee shots. I can drive it 250 + regurlarly. I chose the 15 degrees 3 wood. Love the feel of steel head. My swing speed is 100-105 mph and i use the uniflex steel. Works great!!! |

My wife and kids got this for me for Father's Day this year. Yes, there is something to give up my Wardbird for! This club is easy to hit. It is long and easily plays to a draw. Most tee shots go 250yds+, even drove the green on a 275yd par 4 in a scramble today! Great job by Callaway! Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Callaway Warbird |

Steelhead Plus 3 Wood
i was in the market for a fairway wood, looking for three features accuracy, distance and feel. It was either a Steelhead or a 975F. The Steelhead sells for $559 in Australia, but was recently reduced to $400. But as i get lessons there, i was able to buy this beauty at $360. That's about $190 in the states. I bought the steelhead an was not disapointed. I average about 250 yards from the tee with the steelhead. It is also quite good off the fairway, i am a really bad hitter of the fairway with a wood but steelhead helps to "pick" the ball off the floor and and produce a nice high and long flight. The club has a terrific sound at impact and the face is very forgiving. Hit it anywhere on the face and the ball takes off. It good for shaping and is easy to swing and hit once you have practiced enough. It good value now that the steelhead III has come out. I recommend this club to people with a 20 handicap or below. I also recomend the 975F. It goes far, feels good and it good for shot shaping. It had a heavier head which is good for getting the ball into the air. I think these fairway woods are the best I have ever hit. I started with the old school war birds years ago and now made my way up to the steelhead plus 5 wood and steelhead III 3 wood. All I know is I am reaching par 5's in two all the time now with these clubs. I did a lot of testing before making my decision, but I found that the cobra, titleist, and taylor made fairway woods just could not hang with the Steelhead's. I would recommend these clubs to anyone who wants to hit the ball high, far, and straight as an arrow. Best steel clubs ever made. Customer Service great |
