All I can say is that I kill the ball of the tee and love the feel. If you hit a Toe shot or a heel shot, you can tell but the club does not twist out of your hands and the forgiveness is excellent. Solid balanced tee shots do go far and straight. I have a low ball flight as it is and man do I get some roll after contacting the ground. All I can say is that I love it and will not own another. I tried the 365cc but found out that I hit the 305 better and longer. Get it and love it. Similar Products Used: King Cobra SS, Taylor Made 320, Killer Bee |

First let me state - I'm not a good golfer. I shoot in the high 90's and distance off the tee has always been a problem for me. I've always had trouble on 400 yard par 4 holes never having much of a chance at par. So, with trying to help myself out a little in that area, I decided to purchase a new "grapefruit sized" driver to help my game. I purchased the Deep Red II driver after investigating clubs that offered maximum forgiveness with distance. The Deep Red II apparently is being marketed to people, like myself, that are trying to get better results out of the tee box. So after playing a few rounds with this club, I can safely state that this driver is absolutely more forgiving then other models I've tried. My drives are at least 50% straighter and I'm at least 10-20 yards longer off the tee. This club is not the holy grail. If you have a swing flaw, you'll still have problems. However, the Wilson Deep Red II does seem to deliver what it says it will… forgiveness and extra distance. Oh yeah, it looks pretty cool too! |

Very good at getting ball up and very forgiving. Not much feel, and about 25 yds shorter than others used. I have an old Macgegor 3w I hit just as well. Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: GBB, TM burner. |

I tried King Cobra SS and got my best distance, but no consistency. I tried the TM 320 on a whim. No distance and no consistency. So, finally I tried the Deep Red. Wow! Good distance (not like the KC) but the consistency is unbelievable, especially when I make a nice smooth balanced swing. When I try to overkill I lose some accuracy but never to where I am out of play. I havent tried all the driver's out there, but now there is no need to. Good distance for me and most of all the most accurate. THanks Wilson.....next the Deep Red irons.... I can't wait!!!! Customer Service never used Wilson's Customter Service. Wilson Deep Red Steel
I've just finished my second round with my new Wilson Deep Red Steel Driver with 9 degrees of loft and a stiff flex graphite Fat Shaft, and I'm hooked on this club. For the first time ever, I can say that the most consistent club I hit on the course was my driver. Even my usually dead-on 56-degree wedge was probably not as reliable over the last two rounds as my new Deep Red. At 9 degrees, the launch angle is perfect, and it's long and straight. The few bad drives I hit were due to my still too-fast downswing, but I have so much more confidence now off the tee than I have in the past. This is a great club, and so much less than comparable brands. Thanks, Wilson, and I'll let you know what shooting consistently in the 80's looks like real soon (if I can ever pull my short game together). Customer Service Haven't needed them yet, but Wilson has a cool Deep Red hat I'm going to pick up soon. The Deep Red is a solid driver with a large sweet spot. Apperently the club didn't sell well off the shelf (bad marketing by Wilson) and they were forced to lower the price to move them. For the money, it's one of the better drivers on the market, especially for high handicappers. It is consistently 20 yards longer than my comparable Great Big Bertha. Although it may not be the longest club on the market, it's great for someone who doesn't want to spend $500 on an illegal driver. This driver rocks! It supposedly has one of the largest sweet spots of any driver which is great for beginers like myself. I'm getting about 275yrds now, but who knows my goal is to hit 300 (strait of coarse). Customer Service Sucks. Wilson hasn't responded to any of my questions on their web site. This club is awesome! I hit it so far you cant see where it lands. Last week I teed off from Royal Sydney Golf course and gave it a bit of a slice, if anyone in Los Angeles finds a Srixon number 2 with the initials TH on it, could you please hit it back. Customer Service Neither Srixon or Wilson will replace the ball. |
