Read all the reviews on the site and also magazines and decided to try the WDR at a local store. As you can see i shoot in the 100 s and rarely below.I have been playing about 2 yrs and have had 3 different drivers (budget models)and have never had any consistancy.Bought the WDR yesterday and took it to the range after work but stopped for a beer before hand with a colleague (not good for hand-eye coordination). All i can say is WOW i hit 100 balls and must have hit 85% that would have still been on the fairway or semi rough! When hit straight it was over the fence at 230 metres(this has never happened before).I bought the 10.5 degree loft with regular shaft and did not find the shaft to be wimpy as others have stated here.If all goes well on the course this weekend this club will be in my bag for a long, long time.Very good value for money.GREAT CLUB WILSON

Took a chance on the new 365cc large-head Deep Red beta titanium, and big is not necessarily better with this model. This club is dull and tinny; hit it straight, but club failed to produce much in terms of length. I am a 250-260 yard driver off the tee, and with this club I had to really jump on it to get out that far. A better club, for $100 less, is the Nickent 360cc forged titanium.

I''m a big hitter and i just had the chance to try this outstanding club. i was a little worried about caving the face so i went easy on it . For the amount of power i put to the ball ,it went farther than i thought it would (372yrds) .it is very forgiving with a great solid feel . The wilson deep red is by far the best feeling club i have ever hit.

Played my second round with the Deep Red driver. As with any club, if you do not have the correct swing, you will find yourself in the garbage. This club however is much more forgiving versus other clubs I have used in the past. Off center shots stay in or close to the fairways where before the ball tended to be unplayable. And the distance of my drives has extended between 25 - 75 yards on average. Today I had my longest drive to date - a nice gentle fade down the fairway for 308 yards. Even my doctor playing partner was impressed. The foursome liked the looks of the club and when they tried it on a couple holes, they had nice, long, consistent drives. Wilson did a great job on this one and I look forward to the new fairway woods coming next month!

I have to agree with most of the reviews below. This is the longest, straightest and most forgiving driver I have ever owned or used. When hit pure the ball flight is perfect and usually on the fairway. Even on missed fairways, it is not off by much.

The most amazing thing about the club is the fact that toe or heel shots still have a ton of distance and control. The club looks and feels great. My driving has improved dramatically. There is something to be said about confidence and after a few straight and long drives, you find yourself relaxing more and more and going longer and straighter. Now if I could get the mid-irons and putter into line, my handicap would drop substantially.

I would recommend this club to any average golfer looking to improve his scores.

First of all, who buys Wilson clubs? Fat ShafT irons maybe...but Driver? unheard of! This is what I have always thought and lived by. However, my friend introduced this club to me, and
here is what I NOW think.

This is easily the best driver on the market. I have owned and tried many drivers, (see the list of similar products), and this is by far the most forgiving, and longest hitting club.

Driver is 10* with a regular shaft. The ball flight is low, and bores through the air. The roll after the ball touches down is impressive.

This club is suited to those who have a higher swing speed. The phrase "Grip it and rip it" should be the catch phrase for this club.

Distance wise (on average) I am carrying about 240yds and ending up around 255 + on average. I have uncorked some larger drives (280+). The great thing about this club is that the percentage of these monster drives is far greater than any other club I have ever tried.

One more thing, The Head cover is kick ass, it leaves those Callaway, Taylor Made, Titleist covers in the dust.

Deep Red arrived at my door 30 minutes before my tee time. I skipped the driving range and headed for the 1st tee. Very nice looking club. My first shot was 280 yards right down the center. Best drive I have ever hit at that hole. I usually only hit 220-250 yards with a slice. Later in the round on the 6th hole I managed a 300+ yard drive that led to a birdie. I have 3 rounds under my belt now with the deep red and its the best driver I have ever used. Everyone hates spending $300+ on one club but I am happy with this one. My slice is gone and I have hit 300+ yards more than once in the 3 rounds so far. My golfing partner appoligized for not watching one of my shots then asked me where it went... I just smiled and told him right down the middle just over the 2nd hill. As we stopped so he cold hit his iron shot from the first hill he replied I dont know why I even ask any more.

I know I have submitted a review on this club but I just had to come back having played my first proper round with it. On Sunday I shot 82 (my best ever round) on a par 73. It was overcast, breezy and we had light rain for 2/3 of the round. I used the Deep Red on 11 holes and hit 9 fairways (82%). Of the two I missed one went 290 yds on a push (we won't talk about the other). All of the drives that hit the fairways were 250 yds + and two came in at 300 yds + the longest being 320 yds. I have never had a driver that gives me results that are this long, straight and consistent. It's a much easier game if you are hitting the majority of your second shots from the short stuff !

Fantistic club. At my home course (narrow landing areas) I have only been able to use my old driver (Taylor Made Bubble) on three or four holes. In my first two rounds with Deep Red I used it on every possible hole. Except for my most wild swings, I can't hit this thing off line. Although I find it somewhat difficult to control the flight trajectory (usually a bit high), I don't care because I'm on the short grass. Even miss-hits go long (260) and straight. And I've hit a few out past 300 yards, something I rarely did before.

My usual drive with Deep Red is a nice high, soft draw. (It used to be a hard draw). My misses usually are slight pushes that stay in the fairway.

The look of this club is great too. The head is not too big, and the deep red color is very rich looking.

With these looks and solid control, I can confidently pull this driver out of the bag all day long.

Great work Wilson. Now, what about a 3 wood?
