I switched from my callaway hawkeye vft to this club. it''s a lot better than the callaway. it sounds different, it feels different, much more forgiving, more distance, more accurate, overall, better than any driver i''ve ever played. i got the club for a good price. don''t buy at store, too expensive...try find at ebay. mine was brand new for 250 dollar.

This is a very solid club. Recently tested it side by side with my TM 320 (9.5 deg)and it was as accurate as the TM but outperfomed the TM distance-wise by about 10-15 yards. Ball flight with WDR is lower than TM but similar in length but roll was longer with WDR. I have the Prolite shaft in my TM so I know this was a fair test. Two notes of caution-1.These shaft are softer than normal. I have been playing regular flex Prolite 35s for several years but had to switch to stiff flex in the WDR. 2.Don''t expect any customer service from Wilson.

Customer Service

PATHETIC!!! I have sent 2 e-mails to Wilson about shaft issues and they have not responded to either. I hope someone from Wilson reads this and has the balls to contact me.

I have played a lot of drivers and have found this one delivers. Very straight and longer than average. I choose the 10.5 which hits the ball a bit high but the accuracy is worth a few yards. I would say this driver has cut 2 strokes off my score. I recently purchased the 3 wood as well!

this club has two mixtures that make it go far. 1. this clubs shaft has a high kick point which means making the ball go low (some would ask stiff shaft seems like a regular shaft compare with others, but it is not ,it has a high kick point ) 2. having most of the weight on back of the club, this makes the ball fly high. because of these reasons the club produces what they call optimal luanch angle. I had a titliest 975D, 9.5 degree that flys little lower than my new deep red 9 degree. with less loft i''''m still getting the ball higher than my old 975d. and one other thing is that this club really have a large sweet spot... right now i''''m king of the hill, distance and accuracy wise on october 1st i only missed one fairway( which i birdied)from 10 driver shots in rancho san marcos golf course in santa barbara, distance range from 265 to 275. this is a good driver.. period.

Looks great, but with stiff shaft feels like crap. I actually believe the club''s head will be great, but its shaft (stiff) felt like a rubber stick. I compared it to the Taylor Made 320 which is probably the worst club I ever laid hands on and Titleist latest driver which felt absolutely great. A real shame, for my Wilson irons are lovely.

I did read through most of the reviews on this club before I tried it out. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with it and know it is not for me only after a couple of hits. I am not a power hitter and I have no way to master it. Honma Twin Marks is a way better club at least for me. I drilled several balls over 280 yardsstraight with ease.

I chose the Deep Red the same way I chose any new clubs I purchase and that is by testing all I can on the driving range at my club. I had narrowed my choices to the Titleist 975D driver and the Deep Red. I chose Deep Red after I was able to play 5 rounds with the Titleist and Deep Red simply because I hit a much higher precentage of fairways with Deep Red. I did find that the Titleist was maybe 5 yards longer but the Deep Red was much straighter. I hit many more fairways which allows me to hit more greens in regulation. Since I have purchased Deep Red, I have shot the lowest scores I have ever had simply because the driver keeps me in the close mowed areas and allows me to score much easier.

Go Straight, Go Deep; exactly as advertised. Nice head design creats large sweet spot, even off center hits where consistantly on the fairway with miminal penalty in distance. Sound at impact is very exciting and satisfying. I only tried it at range but is longer than anything else I tried so far unless I hit the Taylor Made 300 right at the sweet spot. What even more special is the shaft. Lots of kicks without the torque, I am sure you already know that. A little unconvetional but I think everyone club maker should admit this is a better design and everyone should follow. I wish Taylor Made or Mizuno would make these....

This driver is the most forgiving club that I have ever hit. I usually tee off with my 3-wood, but this was actually straighter. You just can''t slice this club. Just a gentle fade is the worse that this club would produce. I used to have an Orlimar 9.5+, which worked well, but an off centered hit would go severly right. Not this! Toed shots went straight and fairly long. The trajectory was a little high, but not overwhelming. This was definitly the best investment that I have made. My swing is around 95-100 mph and the stiff shaft is perfect. I recommend this club for anyone who lacks confidence on the tee box.

I had tested several drivers before (read older post) and had stated WDR was an excellent driver. I just got the chance to test the new "Big Red", as I call it, the new 365cc WDR. It was incredible--even better than the original. Previously I had loved the WDR and the Cleveland Quadpro and ended buying the Quadpro since I got such a great deal. With the new 365 WDR I was consistently more accurate than with Quadpro. Distance was similar. From the tee on the driving range it is difficult to tell if one went 3-5 yards longer than the other. Both have excellent distance but the 365 WDR was incredibly consistent. I had no bad shots with it, some that may have faded but no bad ones. With the Quadpro I had a few bad ones. I would have been in the fairway 95% of the time with good distance--and that is with cheap range balls! I hit 50 balls with each and the winner was the 365 WDR. I did the same test again on a different night just to verify the results. I got the same results with the 365 WDR being more accurate than the others. For me this is the club. I immediately bought it and I am selling my Quadpro (Grafalloy Stiff shaft 8.5*)
