Titleist 905T
Having had the 975D for nearly 6 years, i thought it was about time i look for something else. I only just recentley went into the pro shop to see what the new breed of drivers offered, after only a few hits of the 905T i fell in love with it. I consistly hit the back fence of the driving range, i was almost in disbelief of how much longer this club is than the 975D. Its a bit pricey, wait a few months before ill buy one though. It really is the longest club ive ever hit. I used my mates r7, launcher and the new ss cobra, none of which impressed me as much as this club. Titleist 905T
I'm a Titleist junkie (I use the 905T driver, 990 15 degree strong fairway wood, 704CB Irons and Vokey Spin Wedges) and had been extremely pleased with my 983k. I've been testing the 905T with the GD YS-6 Stiff shart and I'm less than pleased. I've already tried the Fujikura and the Adilla shafts and I can't seem to find one to fit my swing. I'm < 4 handicap and this club seems like a step back from the solid feel of the 983K. I actually went into pgatour.com and looked up the driver stats for all of the published Titleist PGA tour players and all but one of then (Els)has 2005 stats (I believe using the 905 series) that are worse than their 2004 numbers (when using the K). Please check this out on your own and report back. I really want to like this club but It just isn't as good (for me) as the previous model. Customer Service Not needed Similar Products Used: 983K, |

Tileist 905 T
This is a fantastic driver. I had heard mixed reviews on this driver and was told there is no difference between this and the 983K. There is! The 983K is more closed at address which can cause you to pull shots to the left. The 905T sits more square. I found this driver to be straighter and longer off the tee. It is slighly bigger the the 983K also (400CC vs 365CC) but its not too big. For titleist driver fans, its a must buy. By the way, you don't have to sub 10 handicapper to play with this club, however you do get better results if you have a faster swing speed. Wait 6 months and buy this driver for 60% of it's cost now. Customer Service Wait 6 months and buy this driver for 60% of it's cost now. Similar Products Used: Titleist 983k. Taylormade R7 Quad. |

Titleist 905T
In my search for clubs that best suit my game, the 905T suits it relly well. In the last few years I've tried the Titleist 983K, Taylormade R7HT,R5,580,and 300, Callaway GBBII, Fusion, and VFT, Mizuno Tzoid, Blue Rage and MP001, Cobra SS380, Ping G2 and Cleveland 460. I'm going to keep the MP001 and SS380. Both are excellent clubs. Prior to getting the 905T, I was using the 983K with a Graphite Design YS6 stiff shaft and hitting the ball well. The 905T is an improved club. Mine has the Fujikura757 stiff shaft and 9.5*. The ball is going straighter and farther then any of the previous mentioned clubs except perhaps the Mizuno MP001. The club has incredible feel. My experimenting is over for now. Customer Service ok Similar Products Used: see above |

I've been a titleist guy for years and years being in my early 40's,,,I've driven the 975 D to the 983k and now made the switch to the 905T...for those of you on the fence deciding whether to buy this, believe me you wont be disappointed a bit,,,I really liked my K driver but the 905T I believe is a tad longer then the K which is the longest ive hit to date...The reason I bought it is because of the 400cc size,,,It sets up more square at address than the K and is more forgiving than the K...it wont let you get away with murder, but the size instills more confidence and isn't as freaky looking as a 460cc size driver,,,The thing you have to get used to is the feel compared to the K...different than the K but you 'll love the results,,, Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: 983k 975D |

Titleist Pro Titanium 905T - Aldila NV 65 R shaft
Might have been a foolish move, but took a 905T the Pro Shop had on demo out for a spin in an ABCD last Sunday (kept the 983K in the bag just in case. First swing and the impact didn't feel like much, but looked up and the ball came to rest 10 yards farther than I've ever been on the hole. Several holes later got to put my name on the long drive marker (can't remember the last time I was able to do that, alas it didn't hold up). Hit a lot of fairways and was in places (distance wise) that I had not been before. Got into the Pro Shop and had the Pro order me one. Got to the course yesterday for a Member-Guest and the Pro informed me that it would take 6 weeks to get the club, but he gave me "a deal I couldn't refuse" for the demo 905T. Put it in the bag. All throughout the round my brothers ("the guests") kept remarking that they couldn't remember ever seeing me hit it longer or straighter. I don't know if it's the shaft or the clubhead, but I am really impressed with this club. A point of info, I tend to be a little skeptical of all the distance claims I see in reviews on this site, so I usually take them with a grain of salt. But, I've really noticed a gain in this area. I've progressed from Titleist's 975D to the 983K and now to the 905T. At each previous stop, I thought I had the driver in the bag that would be there for a while. I've got to say it again, I think I've got the driver in the bag that's going to be there for a while. Overall, cosmetics - just what you come to expect from a Titleist driver - pure classic, feedback - feels a little muted, as I just don't think I'm hitting the ball that far, but that might be a blessing in disguise as I may smooth out the swing a bit knowing it's going to get out there. distance - see previous comments. Customer Service Nothing definitive, but 6 weeks for what Titleist is advertising as a stock shaft seems a little long. Titleist 905T, 9.5, Titleist Speeder Stiff
In a Word: "SOLID" I was always borderline on whether or not to stick with the 983K over other drivers, but I will be sticking with the 905T for the following reasons: - Appearance: 400cc head is the perfect size that makes me feel like I'm getting the benefits of over-sized but not the bulk of a 460cc head. And the 365cc head of the 983K seemed a bit on the small side. It also appears to setup more square looking than the 983K, which always looked a bit too closed for me. The club retains the simple pear-shaped look and simple arrow alignment graphic on top and it's one of the best looking clubs at address that I've ever seen (my other favorite being the Taylormade 510TP); - Depth: the main thing you'll notice versus the 983K is that the 905T head is deeper. I really like this change because now I can tee the ball up much higher; i.e., the key to maximizing distance with the new drivers; - Face: you can definitely feel this club has a spring effect that you didn't really get with the 983K. But being that it's a Titleist you'll have to hit it on the sweetspot for this to happen (unlike say a Callaway where the whole face seems hot); - Shaft: the Titleist Speeder seems to play a bit stiffer and have a bit more of the true 757 zippy feel than this same shaft had with the 983K. The Company says this is because the fortified aluminum hosel provides more tip stability. Whereas the Titleist Speeder in the 983K felt floppy at impact, this feels more solid (although not quite to 757 standards, but close enough this time); - Ball Flight: as advertised, it launches high but flattens out quicker than other titanium drivers giving you that distinctive "penetrating trajectory with long down range flight" look; - Feedback: I like the fact it's not as easy to hit as some other drivers (i.e., the sweetspot is smaller) because it keeps me from getting careless that shows up in lost tee shots towards the end of a round. - Distance: if you hit it correctly, it's just as long as the longest drivers out there, but drives not on the sweetspot lose more distance with this club. Given all of the above this club has quickly become my new "work horse" in the bag and I expect it will stay that way for years to come. Customer Service Not bad but a bit slower than the competition; took them 2 days to respond to my question about the shaft, whereas Nike and Callaway give you an answer much quicker (in fact, Nike even has an online chat service for equipment questions.) What a great club! I just put it in the bag a week ago and it has made such a difference already. I've been hitting my driver high and right lately with my Ping G2 (which is also an awesome club). But this driver lets me hit straighter with a more boring trajectory. I'm also getting more carry with this driver but not too much roll. That's probably because of the crappy muni fairways I play in. It has the Fujikura Speeder shaft which works great with this club. The only thing that kind of surprised me was the sound. It doesn't have that metallic "ping" sound usual titanium drivers have. It's not a bad thing but just takes time getting used to. Also a great feedback club. This driver isn't THAT much different in terms of performance over my 983K but the bigger head gives you more confidence at address. Try this club with the Callaway HX Tour (black color) ball. I've found it goes a little bit farther than the PRO V's. Customer Service No need. Similar Products Used: Ping G2, Titleist 983K, Taylormade R7 |

I used to have a GBB2+ with the super spring face and all that crap. I just could not keep it down in the wind even in the 9degree model. So I looked at the new Titleist and I have to say its the one of the best drivers I have EVER hit. The ball flight is low and penetrating which I love and it is so easy to work the ball, unlike other big headed titanium drivers. Its a very sleek and sexy looking club and you get a gorgeous thud when you hit it, unlike the other titanium ping you are so used to with other drivers. As for distance Iam hitting it 10 yards longer than my GBB2+. Seems funny because the Titleist is legal and the GBB2+ is not. My pro said this might have a lot to do with the shaft though (Aldila NV S-flex) compared to the Callaway GBB2 Firm-flex shaft. He said Callaway shafts are crap and very weak and said that Iam probably benifiting from the stiffer and better shaft. I also love the grip on the Titleist - a Golf Pride V-55. Surprisingly there is also a lot of forgivness (unlike past Titleist drivers). This means that a lot of mid handicappers may like it also. Similar Products Used: Callaway GBB2+ 415 |

Honestly, I have always prefered the smaller head style. And until last Saturday, was determined not to even look at the 905T, never mind buying it. But as sucker tried and was simply good as and even better than my 983K & 983E. So I bought it. Size actually doesn't look as bad, still has the Titleist shape and the shaft is perfectly suited to my swing. The sound, although not a 983K and all before it, isn't that different, of what I heard from people. Solid hits and performance, simply can't fault it, but will still keep my other 2 babies. Think who ever tries it will enjoy hitting it and offcourse as you all know, the right shaft will make it more enjoyble. Customer Service Here in UK....Top Class. Never had a problem with them.
