I was getting sick of my Ping Si3 because I would play with people 10 strokes higher handicap and they would put their drives past me, yet play with cat. 1 golfers who were playing 1 or 2 higher irons than me, it didn't make any sense so I tried a few dirvers. The titleist did it for me straight away 40-50 yards on my drives, consistant even though I wasn't with a new driver (slight miss-hits off heal and toe were forgiven in a saintly fashion by the titleist) where as sweetspot hits rewarded with the most beautiful trajectory, carry and run, fantastic!! I went for 9.5 degree with Graphalloy Blue stiff shaft (regular was just a little too whippy for me)and full cord grip. This driver has turned a 250-270 yard driver (me) into a 320-330 yard driver (can't believe it's still me) I love it. Paid 250. Make that the high 90's. Speaking of which..... beware these reviews. Look at the supposed scores!! If these reviews as are honest as the posted scores, Look Out!! Most in the 70's and 80's. B.S. plain and simple. Anyway, nice club. Used one for a half dozen rounds and went back to my Cleveland 460. Seems to be a more forgiving club than the 905, and overall probably better for those of us who are average recreational golfers and shoot in the mid 90 to 100+ range. A long club that is perfect for the exceptional golfer. Us mortals need more forgiveness, Cleveland and King Cobra are good choices. On the other hand, want to hit long and straight? Try your 3 wood. Has improved my score and is appropriate for all but the par 5 holes. Similar Products Used: Cleveland Launcher 460, King Cobra 460 SS |

i used to play with the 983k a few seasons ago. a very good club but lacked a little in forgiveness. i switched to the 905t earlier this summer and to me it's a much better club. the larger size provides more foregiveness on off-center hits (although still not as much as most other drivers) but it doesn't look like a block of cement like some of the other 460cc clubs. you will only get the full benefits of this club if you can find the sweetspot on most every shot, if not i suggest you try the ping g2 or the cleveland comp 460. imperative that you get fitted for the right shaft. hitting this much better with the stiff fujikura tour platform 26.3 than the grafalloy and aldila shafts Similar Products Used: taylor made t7, r5, cleveland launcher comp 460 |

Titleist 905T 9.5 YS-6 Regular Flex
Excellent driver. The more I play with this club the more impressed I am with its performance. Yes, it is long - but all the top drivers are long these days. Where this driver differentiates itself from the others are 1) accuracy and 2) consistency. This driver has lowered my scores because I'm hitting more fairways and hitting second shots from excellent lies. Although many pros recommend higher lofts for larger-headed (460cc) drivers, the slightly smaller head (400cc) of the 905T allows me to launch perfectly high drives at distances I haven't reached previously, with the 9.5 degree loft. I believe another key was listening to my pro's advice during the fitting. He suggested I switch to a regular flex shaft, even though the launch monitors from previous driver fittings always recommended a stiff flex. Hitting several drivers with both stiff and regular flexes at the range proved his point. This club is not flawless. But poor shots have been the result of bad swings. Although I never thought I'd ever see the day I hit a Titleist driver, I can't recommend this driver highly enough. Do yourself a favor and at least try this driver with the Graphic Design YS-6 shaft. I paid $450 For this driver. I know I could have purchased it for less on eBay, but not without the correct fitting that has resulted in an excellent equipment upgrade for the second most important club in my bag (behind the putter). I never would have explored the Titleist 905T driver without a pro's recommendation. That was easily worth an extra $200. 905T
I had been using the 975J for the past few years and skipped the 983K as I understood it had a "Draw Bias". I have been very impressed with the 905T 9.5 degree with the YS6 Shaft. I tried the following shafts, Fujikura, NV and G-Blue and had the best results with the YS6. Before purchasing this club I tried the Launcher and found it to be a bit longer however, I was more accurate with the 905T (79% Fairways Hit) compared to less than 50% with the cleveland. I also found that the new drivers (460CC) to be distracting when you pull-out a 3-wood or 5-wood as they look small in comparison. The Titleist is slightly more than 400CC which makes it easier to transistion to the 3/5 woods. I also found that when selecting a driver, it's important to purchase a driver from a vendor that allows you to test the club it in the heat of the battle versus hitting different models on the driving range. I purchased mine from a vendor that allows (90 day trials on an unlimited number of models). I am very plesaed with the 905T as Titleist has delivered a very accurate/forgiving driver. As the old saying goes "There are a lot of longer drives in the woods" Don't choose a club based upon a few extra yards found on the driving range. Customer Service Have not used them. This isn't the Ping G2 review. Just letting you know there smart one. Anyways about this club. This is probably the best driver I have hit. You know where you hit it on the face unlike those other drivers that all sound and feel the same wherever you hit it. Just looks awsome at address. Really amazing club, if you don't like it it's not the clubs fault it's yours. Similar Products Used: Ping G2 (second best), clevland Comp, Callaway 454, Taylor Made R7. |

Titleist 905T
Played the 983K for a while, liked it a lot and then, seeking added length, put the G2 in my bag and played it for around 3-4 months. I guess I just like the Titleist feel as, with the Ping, my swing became very impact oriented and I did a poor job making a full finish. Went back to the 983K and my driving came back. Demoed the 905T and found it had a very similar feel as the K but with a little more length (5-10) and more foregiveness. All of the above had NV 65. Tried the YS6 in stiff with the T and found that to be very nice as well with perhaps a higher ball flight than the NV. I've seen other reviews that expressed disappointment over change in feel from the K, but that puzzles me as one of the things I love about the T is it has the same feel as the K. If you aren't used to Titleist clubs you might find the feel different and muted, but I think it helps you swing through the ball, instead of feeling as though a hard crash (like what you get with the Ping) makes you flinch encouraging a hit instead of a swing. I find the T very forgiving, workable and overall, the best driver I've played. My swing speed around 100-105, my bad swings hook but I'm generally fairly straight. Customer Service No experience but the quality of the club seems well above average. Similar Products Used: GBBII, 983K, G2, R7. |

905T Aldila NV 85(!)
After playing the 975J with a grafalloy shaft for about 3 years, I decided to switch. After some testing I decided to give the 905T a try. I can't remember ever hitting an easier driver(Maybe due to the 975 I used before). The ballflight is pretty much perfect, though maybe a bit to high when the wind starts kicking in. The representative told me this would be minimal since the boring ball flight is very stable in wind. Distance-wise it is a defenitive improvement. I've played golf for 11 years now, and always had quite some distance but this thing really nails it. I'm around a 105mph swingspeed and get the ball carrying around 270 meters(975J was 260 absolute max). Shot shaping is a different thing though, I seem to get a draw in an instant but I have yet to find a way to consistantly be able to fade the ball with this thing. The shaft option I've taken turned out to be solid as a rock, 85gr instead of 65gr means the flight is much flatter, and I can really feel the power releasing into the ball. I guess thats why this is one of the most common shafts for high-end drivers today. It costed me a lot of money, but in this case it it definitly worth it and this thing will be in my bag for a long time to come! Recommendations: My guess is that everybody with a swingspeed over 90mph will see an increase in distance, and since it is(at least to me) pretty easy to hit, it will be a great choice. Just test it first, because there are a lot of different shaft options. Customer Service Used only once, they did a great job(on a wedge) but it took them quite a while. Titleist 905T 10.5 Aldila 65-s
I originally purchased the 905T, 9.5 with the Aldila 65-s. Same shaft and loft as my 983K. I was somewhat disappointed. Not bad, but a little heavy and lacking in response compared to the 983K and certainly not any longer. I sold it. After reading a bit about the club and how the pros using it had generally gone with a higher loft, I bought the 10.5 with the same Aldila shaft. What a difference! Up to 20 yards longer on sweet spot hits, more forgiving and just a tremendous driver. I have been a Titleist golfer for several years (since the 975), but have tried the R7 and the new MacGregor. Neither was better than the 983, and certainly this club is the best I have ever hit. If you try this club in the same loft you have been using and are not impressed, try an extra degree of loft. And as always, make sure the shaft is the right one for you. Its critical. Customer Service No recent experience. In the past, they have been fine to deal with. Titleist 905T
I recently felt the need to switch drivers, so i went to a local golf warehouse to try a few different models. Each of them had their pro's and con's, but the Titleist 905T stood in a class of its own. It has a confident and traditional looking profile at setup, and has a variety of shafts that go along with it. The only thing i would recommend changing with this club is the sound. It is soo long, but once you hit this club you will learn to appreciate it. This club is deffinatly a 10 out of 10. Customer Service Never had to use customer service.
