This has to be the best Driver I have Hit! I picked it up brand new for around $180 and never looked back. I used to hit a slight fade, now straight as a die. My distances have incresed around 30-40 metres NO JOKE!! Would we all love that. Its a very Light driver, and the 460cc isnt as big as others, so still very controllable, but forgiving at the same time. Must Buy!

Really impressed with this club and the proforce shaft. Came from a Ping G2 which I liked a lot and this club does better. I am in my early fiftys and have hit a couple of 275 yard drives with this. Not bad for an old guy.

I bought this with an NVS regular shaft. I noticed that most people opt for the stiff shaft. Read the reviews. My swing speed is 96-100 not swinging out of my shoes. I think the looks of this club at address can not be beat. The face is square, one of the few out there. It's a great tempo club and will reward you with good distance and accuracy, provided you put the proper swing together. If you try to muscle this club you will not get a good result. I have had trouble in the past with missing left. Not with this club! I would not recommend this club for the 90s or 100s shooter. Great craftsmanship-hey it's a Titelist! You should be able to get one in almost new condition for $200.

I was a little bit skeptical about this driver because people have said that titleist is "hard to hit." I got an amazing deal on this driver, one that could not be refused. I taped it all up, took it down to the first hole and was expecting a short straight shot (as i did not try to crank it but hit it properly). The ball flew very straight and far. i was speechless. A couple more drives and i was bought. This is an amazing driver for anyone at any level of play. Go out and buy it. It is heavily on sale now due to the fact that it is last year's model. I made an effort to try ever driver before i bought this. What came close were the other two newer Titleist drivers, the Taylormade burner and the Callaway Ft-5.

the most consistent driver for both distance and accuracy. I have the 7.5 degree with the NV 105 X shaft. My head speed is 110-118 mph. I previous bought a 905r 8.5 and I balooned the shots. This club has brought the trajectory to a more reasonable angle.

I bought a FT-3/8.5/NV-85 x. I switched becasue the Titleist gave me 20-30 yards more carry and I am hitting fairways consistently.

Excellent club that can be bought for a great deal. I don't notice a huge gain in distance but what I have noticed is that my off center hits now either stay in the fairway or stay near the fairway. I think this in turn allows me to swing more freely with the driver, which in turn leads to an increase in distance b/c I'm not worrying about where the ball is headed. Titleist has always made good clubs and for the money, you can't beat one of these right now in my opinion.

Ive been testing new drivers for the past month now, I tried all the new ones like the Burner, HiBore, and Callaway FTI but just did not like any of them, I came from hitting a Launcher which is a great club and hard to beat. I tried the 905R because I had a relative hitting one now my search is over, I hit this driver very long and straight sometimes with my normal fade but overall most hits down the pipe. I think a big reason is due to the Proforce V2 stiff shaft, I think it fit my swing perfectly. The sound is a little different, not your usual ping but a great sound still. Now that the price was dropped due to the new D1 & 2's this driver is a steal at $199.

Used to play a 983k and was happy with it, but was interested in something with more forgiveness and a higher ball flight. Based on reviews, I was primarily eyeing the 905r and eventually picked up a 10.5 w/ys6 reg shaft a couple of months ago. I would say that it is much more forgiving and 5-10 yards longer, but I do admit it does not have the feel or sound of the 983k. My misses are pushes, but overall totally satisfied with it's performance. I'm not much of a equipment ho, I am more concerned about making good swings and solid contact. My avg ss is 95, and my drives range from 240 to 270yds. I intend to keep it in the bag for a good number of years.

Model Reviewed: Titleist 905R 9.5* w/ UST Proforce V2 77

I have to say I was a little skeptical about some of the hype, though I still believed it was a good club. I used to play a Nike Forged Titanium 400cc driver with the cruddy TorsionalTi shaft. I liked the clubhead, but the shaft was horrible.

Anyways, I got this driver and my first hit with it was low and about 240. I hit a second one and it went off the heel about 280-285. That's right where the ball struck the clubface was in the heel area. I think Titleist and UST have hit a real grand slam with this club. Thank you Titleist and give props to UST for such a great shaft. Off-center hits don't feel harsh at all.

I've played with my driver two rounds now. I have found because of this shaft and head combination I can turn the ball over at will, whereas before I was not able to (namely because of Nike TorsionalTi). Go figure what that means and come back and let me know. Anyway, my old Nike I had had numerous problems with timing on the shaft, balooning, head too heavy for the shaft. Just all sorts of stuff like that. Too high of ball flights.

My Titleist w/ UST shaft hits it lower. I was worried it would be too high, but after my first two rounds with this club those fears have been erased. My fades go much further now and are much more controllable.

The only complaint I have is I didn't get an XS shaft. I never knew I swung so hard until I really went after it with this club, and the club flexed really hard. My suggestion is if you swing really hard get the XS Proforce. I love this shaft. It's just great. The draws are easily controlled. If you have strong wrists, you can easily turn the ball over with this club.

Okay, you've been waiting. . . I've been averaging 260-270 with this club. On one hole I completely let loose and ripped it 300 yards with a slight draw on it. To the middle of the green was 315 yds. It was a par four. I was 15 yds shy of the middle of the green and just left of the approach in some rough. And what freaked me out was the fact that I didn't even catch the center of the clubface! I haven't hit any perfect center face hits yet, but when I do, I'll be bombing this thing. The 2.2 torque rating on the shaft makes this a very controllable long club. And again the trajectory is anywhere from mid-low to mid-high just depending on how you catch it. If you're thinking about changing, give this a try. You owe it to yourself. They're going for $200 right now. If I shoot in the 90's and can control it, then you can too.

Aesthetics: This club has a beautiful setup. The pear shape is really quite appealing. It does not from setup look like a 460cc driver. The balance of the club is perfect. The head and shaft are perfectly in synch with each other. Titleist did a great job matching their clubs up with UST. The feel is superb. Overall, just a great club.
