Titleist 905R
This year alone I have owned or played about 6 drivers. Mizuno, Callaway,Cleveland just to name a few. Ironically I purchased the 905R earlier in the season with the Proforce V2 shaft that others here are raving about and just could not hit it. I felt the shaft was too stiff, and I have always played stiff, recently the Aldila NV. So I traded it in and floundered, looking for the right driver. The Callaway X 460 is by far the longest driver I have ever hit. But I was a little too inconsistent. I then decided to revisit the 905R. This time with the Graphite design YS6+ in regular and 44" long and 10.5 degree loft. WOW !!! This was a combination I never would have thought would work for me. But it does. Very consistent, straight and a boring not overly high trajectory. The first round I played with it I shot 68, not all contributing to the driver but it was a factor. Best round I shot in probably 10 years. It is consistent 245-265 and in or very near the fairway. Hit alot of demo combinations with different shafts. It will be worth your time. Customer Service Over the years that I have dealt with Titleist I never had any problems Similar Products Used: Every driver known to man |

Titleist 905R 9.5* V275 stiff
Now have 2 rounds under my belt with the new Titleist 905R and all I can say is WOW!! I have only missed 3 fairways and am hitting it anywhere from 5-15 yards longer than my G5 9* NV65. The feel and workablility are awesome and the V275 with 2.2* torque is a great fit for this head. Trajectory is medium with a slight fade that carries forever and hits HOT!!! It is so much fun to swing nice and smooth and crank it down the pipe or take a rip and get the same results. I really think alot has to do with the shaft and the torque rating--but who really cares. Hitting them in the fairway and averaging 265 with a big poke of 290+ every now and then is all that matters!!

Excellent driver. The feel with UST shaft was so accurate that I rarely needed to see the ball's flight. At impact, I knew where it was going. This part was better than 983K with Prolite (yes I hit high).
Customer Service 1 year limit stinks. Callaway & TM are much much better (2 years or 5 years). They are very receptive to a demanding customers too. Although Titleist is not bad, but not up to those two companies. On par with good, but not excellent like Mizuno. = Low value. Similar Products Used: 983K, 580XD, R5 (N) |

easy to hit, not as long as advertised
the larger size makes it easier to make contact than the T or R 905's. you'll the trampoline effect from a wider area of the face. and the dark colored, true pear shape head does a nice job of concealing the 460cc head size and especially deep front to back profile. do i hit this further than the 905T or 983K? no. they were just as long (maybe even a tad longer on center face hits.) however i am likely to stay with the R because of the added forgiveness. the 983K is a bit small now and i like the added spin rate on the new low spin balls compared to the 905T. Customer Service fine, they contacted me within 48 hours after i emailed some questions. |

I have tried many drivers, but this one is a real keeper! I have tried the Mizuno, Cleveland Launcher, ad infinitum. However, this one by far is the longest. I purchased the 9.5 stiff flex Adila NCS driver and, I am really impressed. I own the 983K,and the 905T but the 905R is definitely a step up. Titleist 905R Driver
I purchase the Titleist 905R Driver 9.5* with the Fujikura Stiff. When I went looking for a driver, I tried several on a launch monitor to make sure I picked the one that suited my swing. This one won!! Lesson learned - when purchasing a driver get custom fitted on a launch monitor and try every brand, different lofts, different shafts. It was worth it!
Customer Service Have not had to use it. Similar Products Used: Ping G5, Taylor Made R7 425, Cobra F Speed, and Bridgestone J33 460 (another great driver. It was between this one and the Titleist. My numbers were a little better on the Titleist) |

905R 9.5 Stiff Speeder
I have been playing the 983K for a year. The 905R is a better club than the 983K. Larger sweet spot and still lets you work the ball. I needed a driver to try and get more consistent drives and went with the 905R. I went to a demo day and got fitted. I was hitting a high draw. A shot that I can rarely hit with the 983K. I don't play that well and won't boast about any 300 yard drives, but that is why I got this club. I really like the head shape and I don't feel like I am swinging a melon.

I am a true believer in Titleist...I just recently switched from the 983K to the new 905R and it is phenomenal. Titleist continues to provide a good looking driver with it's new line of clubs. The bigger head (460cc) with it's larger sweet spot will allow you to swing away with confidence. The 905R allows a little extra room for error with off-center hits. I have the Aldila 65 gram stiff flew shaft with a Winn XF midsize grip (black). I will forever be a Titleist customer! Customer Service Haven't had to deal with Similar Products Used: Titleist 983K |

Titleist 905R driver. 10.5-degree
I work in a pro shop, so i always hear about a variety of clubs as well as opinions on them (Like...whats easy and hard to hit). For example, I hear that Ping and Cobra are easy to hit, the R7 is good, and Titleist is generally a hard club to hit (or for the good golfers).
Customer Service I work in a pro shop, so none. Similar Products Used: Borrowed Callaway steel head big bertha 10-degree |

Titleist 905R w/ Stiff UST ProForce shaft
Simply the best driver on the market today. I have never liked Titleist drivers in the past. I have always been disappointed by the performance. After playing the Callaway FT-3 for many months now I was in search for a driver that could provide good distance and better accuracy. The ft-3 is still the longest driver I have ever hit but the control was sometimes lacking. The Titleist 905R was the answer. I lack only about 10 yards on average but the difference in direction makes it a worthy trade-off. The feel is fantastic and the sound is really wonderful. The UST shaft produced a controlled and aggressive ball flight. I can not think of anything negative to say about this club at this time. Try it for yourself. With the correct shaft you will not be disappointed! Customer Service Never needed them. But a company like Titleist has to be top notch.
