Finally bit the bullet and upgraded from my Cleveland 330. I took it with me to the pga store and hit it side by side with just about every driver/shaft combo out there. The 905r was one of the last clubs that I hit. I tried it with the V2 76g shaft and my flight and spin rates were ideal. I bought the club and literally the first time I pulled it out (335 yard par 4 that would have been best played from a layup) a drove the green. I could not believe the distance and as the round went on, the forgiveness. My miss-hits went almost as far as the old 330 when I pured it. Definitely give this club a look...technology is wonderful. BTW, I shot 77 at heritage here in atlanta from the blues (slope 142) I only missed one fairway all day.

Finally, a forgiving club from Titleist. I have hit their clubs in the past and they haven’t been as kind on mis-hits as the others. No more. You can hit the R just about anywhere on the face and good results will happen. Honestly, only a complete ugly, bad swing will send the ball way offline. The CG on the club also allows you to crush the ball. I don’t hit the ballooning “moon balls” I did with other drivers. Tee the ball, swing, and start walking down the fairway.

If you have always wanted to hit Titleist clubs but have been afraid to try due to the reputation as “players” clubs fear no longer: this is your Titleist driver. As a final suggestion, as others have also suggested, be sure to get fit on both the loft and shaft for this club. I tried three different combinations and hit this one way better than the other two 905R combinations. Otherwise you will be doing yourself a disservice and losing accuracy/distance.

Sorry Titleist, I strayed for awhile, and did try some other drivers. As my friend says "Titleist players allways come back" This driver is awesome. Looks great, feels great, finally titleist in a 460! I was hittin the 983K, and I thought that was a great driver, it is, but honestly not forgiving. The shaft is a perfect fit, Ive also hit in the V2 shaft. That shaft is heavy 76 grams, but it goes long. I prefer the ys-6+. Same shaft in my 904 fairway. Thank you titleist, "no moveable weights" needed.

I've always been WAY behind the curve when it came to technological advances in golf clubs. For example, it was only 3 years ago that I finally ditched my Powerbilt persimmon woods in favor of a Titleist 975J driver!

I absolutely LOVED the 975J and had no plans or desire to get rid of it in favor of something different. One day when getting fit for a set of new Ping irons, the person at the shop tried desperately to convince me that I was losing 10-20 yards, as well as giving up accuracy by NOT switching to one of the newer model drivers. I resisted at first, but after he basically shoved the 905R demo into my bag and told me to take it out onto the range, I figured I would give it a try.

I'm the type of person that goes through growing pains when getting used to a new club, and this experience was no different. After hitting about 50 balls with the 905R it was clear that I wasn't hitting them nearly as far or as straight as my "old" 975J.

However, I didn't give up hope, as I read all the reviews from people on here saying what a tremendous driver it was. I figured I just needed to give it a little more time to get used to the fairly significant differences in appearance and weighting.

All I can say is THANK GOD I didn't give up on it. I took the 905R out to the range the following day, and I was routinely hitting it 10-15 yards further than my 975J with just as much if not more accuracy. After going back to the shop to buy the club, I took it out on the course for the first time, and routinely outdrove one of my playing partners...someone that I very rarely was able to outdrive in the past.

I have a 100-105 swing speed, yet the 10.5* loft with the lighter, slightly softer GD shaft seemed to work best for me. Launch angle was high enough, yet very penetrating. Great sound and feel off the face...a nice solid "crack" as opposed to the annoying metallic "ping" of some of the other well known drivers out there.

In short, this driver is the real deal and will deliver all the results you're looking for.

Make sure you check out all the shaft options as they differ dramatically in terms of weight and feel.

Hi i am 16 years old i am a member at a course and ive never had a name brand driver but i am still a 0 scrach golfer. So i had a tounrnement and i tried the driveer well lets say it's amazing i am averiging 280 off the tee with a nice draw it's the best driver i have ever hit. I would recomend this to people who already hit a solid ball. Because it is not the most forgiving but if you hit your driver well and are looking at a driver go down to a golf store and try it out to find the perfect loft and shaft that fits your swing style

All I can say is, What a great stick!!! I still prefer my R5 dual just for forgiveness, plus it is way cheaper, but if money is no object, get yourself a 905R. Shots can be shaped at will. Fairly forgiving, but nothing like the other 460cc clubs available. In my opinion, this is the best 460cc driver available for better, or as Titleist says, "serious" players.

Model Reviewed: Titleist 905 -R 10.5 with Proforce V-2

This is a GREAT DRIVER!!! I recently bought a 10.5 deg. 905-R with stiff flex V-2 shaft and it is one of the straightest, longest drivers I've ever hit and I have hit most of them. I was worried that the player's head shape and (2.2)low-torque, heavyish (76gms.) shaft were too much for my game, but that is not the case. I hit this club very well, and it feels awesome! It has a very tight dispersion on mis-hits and poor swings, but goes long and straight on good swings. It has instilled a lot of confidence in my tee shots. Make sure you try the right shaft and loft combo for your game as I only had this result when I hit this combo. I tried all the stock Titleist shafts in 9.5 and 10.5 degree lofts and this combo worked best for my 105-110 swing speed with driver.

im 14, been playing the game for 5 years now and I just needed more distance than my 3 wood off of the tee
took this driver, nike ssasquatch, taylormade r7 quad, callaway x460, and the 905t
At first I like this club a lot, then I got a chance to hit the callaway x460 and I didn't like this club so much now
It feels like the clubface is very thick, so the ball isn't able to bounce off of it too hard.
this club was very accurate, but was lacking a lot of distance.

I went with the x460 because it was much longer than the other clubs and was straight every single time
