I just brought the 983K driver, and my ball striking ability is a lot better than before when I was using the Big Bethra Steel head Plus II.... this club is the best I have ever hit, since I have played... Similar Products Used: King Cobra 350SS or King K=Cobra 427SS |

With the steelhead plus I used to shoot in the mid 90's with about a 175yd drive. Then i got the 983k, and now i drive the ball about 220 and i'm hitting more greens in regulation. Overall it has a solid feel witha huge sweetspot. This is a club for everybody just get the right loft and shaft. Similar Products Used: 975J, Big Bertha steelhead plus |

Recently I purchased the 983K and Cobra SS380. Both seem to be longer then my previous drivers and more consistent.I like the feedback of the 983 but I think the 380 is more forgiving. It is a difficult choice so I am alternating. This month it's the 983K in my bag. Customer Service Being left handed I had to wait 3 months before receiving the clubs. Obviousily Titleist and Cobra did not expect such a demand. The Golf Warehouse were prompt in letting me know of the delay. Just one of the things you have to deal with when you hit the ball from the right side. Similar Products Used: Callaway VFT, Taylor Made 300 and 580, Mizuno Blue Rage |

Titleist 983K - Fujikura Speeder
If you are serious about golf and you have a solid game, this is a great club. I have literally tried every driver out there and can say- the 983K has top quality and performance. The Taylor made R500 series drivers seem to be the most forgiving, but do not warrant the feel, the sound or distance of the 983K. I cannot say "now im hitting it 300 yards" because that is not true, but I will say I am longer, I ooze with confidence over this baby, and it feels so pure when you strike it on the huge sweet spot. The weight is perfect. **THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO IS GET THE CORRECT SHAFT. It is a wonderful forged Titatium head but without the right shaft it will not reach its potential. I chose the Fujikura which is a little stiffer but has great control. the 983K has a little better "Crack " sound than the JVS etc.. alot like the 975D also which I really like. As I said before, if you are a solid golfer this is the Driver, same as with PROV1x golfballs, the equipment can only enhance your game if you are very solid. and work at your game. If you tend to struggle with ballstriking and can barely break 100, this club is not majic, it will just be a very expensive replacement club. good luck! |

It is refreshing to see some of the reviews posted on this website. Sometimes i wonder what things would be like if people put as much effort into being a decent person as they do making an ass out of themselves... Played a round with this club, the most playable driver Titleist has made to date. Sweet spot is very easy to find on a regular basis. You can have an off day with this driver and still enjoy the round. I would rate this right up there with the R580 & the launcher 400. Try it. I had the 975D for a year and didn't think i'd ever give it up. Then i played the 983K. The Ball rolls forever off this face, it's extremely easy to hit, and well worth the money. I averaged about 275-280 with the 975 D, now i'm easily 15-20 yards londer with it! Similar Products Used: 975D, 975L-FE, 975J-VS |

Unequivocally, the best driver I have ever hit. I lost my old 975D and have been trying to replace it for 3 years. I tried the 975LFE but could not hit anything but a fade-very frustrating. Then I hit the 983K, wow. Finally a driver that was easy to hit straight, but workable too. About time. Distance is fabulous. With the 975D I hit it about 275. Yesterday, I nailed one 280 into a 20 mile per hour headwind! I would just say that that you need to field test these things. It took me about an hour on the range to find the right shaft/loft combination for my swing. I ended up with a 9.5 degree in the Grafalloy stiff series. Vast differences in distance and ball flight depending on the combinations I tried. Similar Products Used: 975D, 975LFE |

This club is great!!! I upgraded from the 975J and it was the best move I have ever made. I hit this club 10-15 yards longer and much more accurrate with it. You can hit this club near the toe and it still goes good for you. I am in a lot less trouble off the tee with this club. I would recommend to anyone this club. Good club for better golfers and upcoming golfers in the 15 or better handicap range. I tested against several others, including the TM540, Si3. Worthy of note: the TM540 with stock stiff was 20+ yards longer only due to the softer shaft. The 983 would be the same distance with the same shaft. The 983K may be a better golf club with a softer shaft for those < 105 MPH. Slight draw or fade was common. Good club - get fitted and be honest about your capability and try it first. You can always re-shaft if you make a mistake. Warning: The stiff Grafalloy plays true and you need 105+ MPH or distance loss will be substancial. Better with 110 MPH for this shaft. Customer Service I'm sure they are good. Similar Products Used: TM540, 580 |

Titliest 983K
I have used every model of the 975 series and tried several other brands. I have found the 983K to be the best combination of forgiveness/feel with no distance being lost. This is the first driver I have tried that was significantly longer than the 975J. I am using a 9.5 degree with a Grafalloy Prolite made for titliest...awesome combination of launch and spin rate so it gets the ball up in the air quick but it almost looks like it knuckles through the wind so it doesn't balloon. I am not sure how anything can be better than this club. Customer Service They are always very helpful and informative at Bob Martin's. I always shop there and have never found a group better to deal with. Similar Products Used: Cleveland 400 Launcher Taylor Made R540 Mizuno Blue Rage Cobra 427 |
