Awesome. I was a 2 handicap through college and took some time away from the game due to other priorities. Having recently dusted off the clubs I was given my 983K as a gift. I'm amazed at the distance and controll of this driver. Most of all I'm pleased to be able to work the ball, which I had anticipated to be difficult with the larger head. One word of causion...the low center of gravity allows the ball to get up quickly! With a traditionally lower ball flight I opted for the 10.5 but traded it in for a 9.5 All in all, I've hit it much longer and with a great deal of accuracy. No pun intended, this driver is a can't miss! Price is steap but I received mine as a gift. |

A cannon. Pure and simple. The ball absolutely rockets off the face and stays airborne long after you expect it to come back to earth. I upgraded from the 975JVS and added at least 20 yards. Remarkable... Similar Products Used: Titleist 975D Titleist 975JVS |

The best driver I've ever played with. The ball goes far and sweet. I've played with Taylor Made and Nike drivers, but none of them come close to the 983K. Customer Service Not experienced Similar Products Used: Taylor Made, Nike |

983K 9.5 degrees stiff flex (stock) The ball comes off of the face hotter than any other driver that i have tried. It gets up quickly, stays up long, and then rolls once it hits the ground. I have hit my longest drives since I bought this club. Like some other reviewers here, I have noticed the fact that the clubface is not designed to be be closed at address can increase a slice or push if you are not careful but unlike some other reviewers here, I found the club to be reasonably forgiving on off-center hits . All in all, a very good club with great distance. *** For value rating I gave 1 star because I feel that all new big name drivers are way overpriced! This is the hottest driver off the market...ive gained about 50 yards with it and the roll of the ball is just crazy...adding 50 yards to your drive and having lots of roll along with it is a great combination..there is one problem though...the ball may scream off the face but it goes pretty high...if you hit low shot, then i would recommend this..if you hit high shots you should either get 983E or get a less lofted K driver...I promise...its perfect Similar Products Used: Titleist 975D/975J |

This is by far the longest driver i have ever hit. It just goes, and goes, and goes. I hit it 20 yards farther than my Callaway VFT. It isn't the straightest driver on the market, so if you want straight go with the Big Bertha II. (You wont miss a fairway!) Anyway, this driver is easily the longest on the market. I have also hit all of the R500s and didn't like the feel of them. If you want distance this is the way to go, otherwise there are other drivers out there. Customer Service Haven't used. 983K 10.5*, Fujikura Stiff
After reading great things about the 983K and a recommendation from a friend, I went shopping specifically for this club and tested the 10.5 Fujikura stiff variation against many other drivers (see Similar Products Used). Dead-on hits with the 983 were truly amazing. However, since I do not hit dead center every time, I was greatly disappointed in the forgivness of this club. In fact, it was relatively non-existent. It was easily outperformed by the MacGregor Optimal Launch 9.5 and, my eventual purchase, the Taylor Made R580 10.5. This club just did not offer the consistency I need. The center strikes did not deliver a consistent flight and carry in comparison to the MacGregor and Taylor Made (although it did outperform the others I tried). The price tag was somewhat optimistic for a club that just did not meet my expectations. Customer Service have no experience with Titleist's customer service. However, the patience and helpfulness of the staff at Pro Golf in Louisville, KY was first rate. Titleist, great club. The 983K is a excelent club that lines up the club face square rarther than 1-2 degrees closed like most other drivers on the market today. His club has a much smaller sweet spot than my previous driver. (king cobra) but the sweet spot is more powerful, when i hit this club well i gain a good 10 yards. A low hitting club that keeps the ball in a tight tajectoy throughout its flight. The only bad thing about this club is you cannot open up the face on your down swing because if you do a little you will find that the ball slices more than a club with a closed face. But over all a very solid club that is visibly appealing to the eye at address. Similar Products Used: Titleist 975J, Nike dirvers |

9.5 Degree 983K, S-Flex
I've been wanting to upgrade drivers for awhile, because after upgrading from the Orlimar Trimetal to the Ti Ping, I realized just how much technological advancements and price mattered: with that upgrade my drive got at least 30yds. longer, way more consistent, and much straighter. It's been a few years since I first bought the Ping, and it has served me well, but I felt that it was time to get a new and better driver. I had read good things about many clubs on the market, from Nike and Cobra to Titleist (I ruled out Ping, Taylor Made, and Callaway because of personal preferences). So I decided to demo four clubs: 1. 400cc Nike Driver 2. Cobra SS 350 3. Cobra SS 427 4. Titleist 983K The Nike I disliked immediatley--it was the least long of the group, felt the least responsive and accurate, and wasn't consistent at all - maybe it just didn't fit my swing. The SS 427 I like because of it's wonderful forgiveness, but I simply felt that the club was too massive-it felt blunt and heavy and aerodynamically akward. The SS 350 I thought was quite long (the second longest of the group), but the feel was too hard - I like to know where I hit the clubface and therefore why the ball went where...it didn't provide this feedback. Because of this, I found it inconsistent. The Titleist I absolutely loved. It was the most expensive of the group, but I found it worth every penny. It was responsive, amazingly consistent, easily workable, and LONG! I hit, average, about 245 with the Ping. I hit, average, about 275 with the Titleist. Unless I tried to hit a fade, the ball would sail long, not too high or low, and have a slight draw - perfect. People were watching me nail drives way down beyond the 250 sign in awe...it was a beautiful thing. I haven't tried it on the course yet, but I really want to...easily the best driver on the market.
