Titleist 983K Titanium Drivers

Titleist 983K Titanium Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The 983K driver features a 365cc full pear profile. The larger head size compared to the 983E, produces a moderate launch angle and higher moment of inertia for playability. The slightly heel-biased internal weighting and deeper CG produce a moderate spin rate and an easy-to-square face. The result is a highly playable driver with an ideal initial trajectory, and long downrange flight.

I just ordered the 983K after hitting many different clubs. The club when hit on the sweet spot feels solid and sounds great, one of the most satisfying hits I have felt in a driver. you must do some research on the shaft and get what's correct for you based on swing speed and launch angle. I really like the top line and like the pear shape look, some people don't like the pear, suits me well. Most shots were straighter than other clubs, I was hitting the hitting the TM 580, Tsunami, Launcher 400, Bertha, etc. When I switched back to the 983, bam right down the middle with power and a grin on my face. Bought this at a GC with help from a pro on shaft and launch which is why I paid 450 for the club. Look forward to playing with the club, will update you golf freaks in a month or so, hit this club, good chance you too will fall in love with the feel and sound.

I am a new golfer(currently taking lesson) and I wasnt sure what to get so I asked around and stumbled across the 983e for $329.00. I went to purchase it and the store owner was honest and told me to get the 983k instead(from another store he didnt have it). So I took his advice. I purchased the 983k 9.5* - After about 3 or 4 days at the range I was hitting the fence(300yds) on a line drive. I am still working on the mechanics of my swing, but it has such a nice feel. When you hit it right, it goes as straight a laser-beam. I am looking into the 7.5 as well. I highly recommend this club. Its Titleist, why buy anything else?

Model Reviewed: 983K 9.5 4560 S shaft

Great club with good feel and weight. The comments on the shaft types are well made - make sure you get the right one! The through bore shaft makes them play a bit stiffer. Previously had a J with Grafalloy ProLite S - swapped to 4560 Stiff for the K - great balance and feel and better trajectory than Grafalloy in the K. Definately worth considering if you are in the market.

I have switched my driver about 5 times in the last year. After playing with this club, it looks like I'll be sticking with this driver for a long time. I've tried the VFT, GBB II, Launcher 330, Nike, Titleist 975D and J, and Taylor Made 500 series. All of them come way short of this 983K. The off-center shots were about 10 to 20% less in distance than a sweetspot shot. I averaged around 250 before. Now I am hitting about 9 out of 14 fairways (my club course has 4 par 3s), average about 260 yards and shape the shot easily. Definitely worth every penny!!!

This driver is fantastic. I have a 9.5 w/ Fujikura stiff shaft, which makes the perfect trajectory. It seems like it sails forever. I hit this thing a mile, 10-15 yards farther than my TaylorMade 320. It has a great feel and sound, not too loud, which I like. I am 17 years old and consistently hit it 270-275(So I got that going for me). The shaft is extremely consistent. It is also pretty forgiving, it might not seem so, but it is. You don't have to be an excellent golfer to play the 983K. At first I was iffy about getting this driver, with it being so expensive. But I went and demoed it and loved the feel and weight. I also came to this site for additional advice and to see what everyone else thought. All the reviews were extremely helpful, so thank you. Anyway, if you are contemplating this driver like I was, I would definitely give it a try.

Haven't had to deal with them. But Edwinwatts.com was great. They are very nice and fast. I got my order in three days.

Model Reviewed: Titleist 983 K 9.5 w/YS6 stiff

Best driver Titleist has ever made. Originally had the 975D when it came out and loved it, then went to the J. Was hitting the J pretty well (avg 260) but decided to try the K and loved it. Have played 3 rounds with it so far and all rounds in the mid 70s. Distance is a little longer 8-10 yds, but it is much more forgiving on off center hits than the previous Titleist models. YS6 is a great shaft if you have a smooth swing (my swing speed is around 107 mph) Great club.

Model Reviewed: 983K 9.5 degree loft with Titleist 4560 shaft

First of all, let me tell you that I hardly bothered to write any review of any of my equipments but I felt compelled to tell the world what a great club this is. I was using an Orlimar Hip Ti 10.5 degree loft with stiff graphite shaft. Although the club gave me good distance, I was suffering from the lack of accuracy. Maybe due to the closed face, I was pulling most of my shots left and if I was to play in a course with tight fairways, out of bounds feature quite regularly in my game. After reading all the reviews here, I decided to buy this driver and I can tell you that I instantly fell in love with it. I used a 975D before switching to a Nike (I have a problem getting the ball airborne with the Nike) but this club is a much improved version of the old 975D. I hit most of my shots with a fade and I can't play a draw to save my life but this driver allows me to draw at ease ! Some reviewers find the lack of feedback in the club but I find that you can still tell from the feel if you hit a good shot at all. I have a swing speed less than 100mph and this 4560 shaft suits me perfectly. I agree with a lot of the reviewers here that you should always find the shaft that suits your swing speed; it'll optimise the clubhead speed which will give you maximum distance off your swing. My Orlimar carries the ball about 200 metres without much roll. This 983K carries 220 metres and possibly another 10% more roll ! I'm not kidding. Some of the reviewers here said that they can hammer the ball pass 300 yards; if they did, they should join the tour. However, this club does give you a lot of distance ... and this is the furthest I have ever hit with any driver. Titleist may have said that this club is for the better player but I think it will suit any mid-handicapper fine. Workability is there if you are looking for it. Distance is great off the sweet spot but not too bad if you hit it off-center. If you are looking for a new driver, please, please, please try this club. You will not regret it. I'm glad I read the reviews here and tried it myself.

I'm a 7 handicap and I just got this club about a week or two ago. This is the best driver I have ever hit. This replaces what I believed was the best driver ever made, the Titleist 975D (currently used by Tiger Woods). I have the 9.5 degree with the Fujukura SPEEDER shaft (a great combination). Anyone considering a new driver should definetly demo this driver you'll hit it farther and more importantly hit more fairways. Good Luck.
