Titleist 983K Titanium Drivers

Titleist 983K Titanium Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The 983K driver features a 365cc full pear profile. The larger head size compared to the 983E, produces a moderate launch angle and higher moment of inertia for playability. The slightly heel-biased internal weighting and deeper CG produce a moderate spin rate and an easy-to-square face. The result is a highly playable driver with an ideal initial trajectory, and long downrange flight.

This club is amazing!!! The larger head makes it really easy to get good distance and accuracy even when you don't hit it really solid and square on the face. The traditional pear shaped head makes for great confidence at address and the burgandy shaft and dark head make for a great looking club all together. Distance wise, this club is long, really long. I am up close to a mile above sea level, and when I hit it solid, the ball easily goes over 300 yds. Overall I think that this is a great addition to the Titleist line. Great looking club with tons of distance and will definitely stay in my bag for a long time.

Customer Service

Not real great, I am left handed and it took over 2 months for me to get the club. Other than that, okay.

Awesome Driver!! This club is long!!! I've owned many drivers (Taylor Made, Cobra, GBB, Mizuno, etc). None have compared to the distance that I get with this driver (easily and regularily 300+). If I step on one, as I have with this driver, I got 373 yards on a par 5. Took a mid iron into the green (6feet from the hole - missed the darn eagle). That is the greatest feeling in golf, that you can overpower a course! One of the most distinct things is the sound this driver makes when hit squarely on the sweet spot at a high velocity (115mph +). It is a very very loud piercing crack! It literally hurts my ears. But I tell you, the ball rockets off the club face (175mph+)!! I am sold on this driver. I love the Speeder shaft. I used to love my Graffaloy 35S, but this Speeder stiff is an awesome engine. I might need to go extra stiff however. My swings speeds are above 120 when I go after the ball; if I swing within myself, around 112-115 mph. Highly recommended. I'm not sure it will improve your scores, but this club is a heck of a lot of fun and easy to hit. Lots of oohs and ahhs when you rocket one down the fairway!! It can really take your playing partners out of their game!! Lots of fun!!!!

This is the Driver does not feel like it was made in the titleist factory. I've used the 975D, 975J and the 975L-FE and this has a diferent feel, launch angle and spin rate compared to their ancestors. I believe Titleist was looking to reach out to average golfers with this club, it gets in the in the air easy, its really forgiving and i'll give distance with minimum effort. But if you have a swing over 115 miles per hour and a high launch angle this club will baloon the ball like you will not believe and make you loose distance and control. The 983E is the driver that continues the titleist tradition in feel and control for serious golfers, this one feels like a comercial club to help high handicapers get distance or make it easier on low ball hitters get the ball in the air.

Model Reviewed: Titleist 983K 9.5* - Harmon Tour Shaft

Exceptional club. I have a relatively slow swing speed - 95mph and my club pro suggested the Harmon UST CBR R shaft. It is a perfect match for my swing. I'm hitting it 10-15 farther and straighter than I did with my Callaway VFT Hawkeye, which was also a good club. The 983K just blows it away... On a nice, smooth swing - 250-270 yards consistently. Easily the best driver on the market today. Like with any driver - the shaft is the key. I tried the 983K with Titleist 4580 S shaft and the results were not even close to the Harmon CBR, which is also awesome!

This club is just ridiculously long off the tee giving me easily an extra 10-15 yards from my previous driver. It is also a driver which allows me to eork the ball either way whick is a key ingridient in my books.

i had been playing with a ping Tec driver up untill this point. i went to the range and demo'd every new driver out when i bought it (early august). the 983 was far superior right from the beginning. ive always been a freakishly long driver, regularly blasting drives up to about 330. but once i got the 983k, i started REGULARLY hitting 330 yard drives, ive hit a few that have been in the 380's, with no wind or downhill slope. as far as feel and control goes, this driver is second to none, ive even bought a second one exactly like it so that when titleist come out with something new, ill still have it.

Model Reviewed: 983 K Grafalloy Prolite Stiff

This is driver is a good driver for mid-low hncp.I buy with the regular shaft Grafalloy prolite.I must tell you that the regular Prolite is more stronger than the normal regular , is something like Firm. I try but mu speed is 103 Mph and the shaft was a little flex for me. Then I change for the stiff grafalloy prolite. Man , this is a really stiff shaft . The driver is wonderfull , and I able to control my shots , and I am driving 275 yards. It´s really the best driver that I have test. Remember that the grafalloy shaft is the ligh-proffesional shaft and that let you make high shots. The fujikura shaft is so heavy and then will be more difficult for you give a high flight to the ball.Test it both and choose the better for you. The driver is a good choice , is beatifull ,is long , and accuracy. I am sorry for Tiger , I am sure that he would like use too. jejeje

Model Reviewed: Titliest 983K 9.5 Speeder Stiff

After having alot of success with a Titliest 975D Grafalloy 35+ prolite shaft, I decided to try the 983K. I have a swing speed of between 98-105, but the salesman, told me the 4560 regular shaft would work best for me...WRONG! Although I got good distance, I was all over the place...snap hooks and big fades...Slowing my swing down helped, but that is not my natural tempo. Anyway after 2 rounds with the same results, I exchanged for the 983K with Speeder shaft Stiff. Wow, made all the difference...I can really go at the ball and not worry about the duck hook. Can't promise 300+ drives like some of the other reviews...my best hits go about 265-275, which is about 10 yds longer than the other clubs I've used. The head is solid, nice sound...putting the right shaft for your swing is a must. Best to Demo on the range....Can't wait to get back on the course...the Club has renewed my fire for the game.

Model Reviewed: tileist 983 K 7.5 YS7 shaft

This club is fantastic. I hit it straight and long. The club is very forgiving, and even the mis-hits some how end up in play. The club has a smooth solid feel, and the ball just seems to launch off the club face. I was fortunate to get a custom YS7 shaft in stiff flex, which also propably helps account for my love of the club. I tried a 983 E 8.5 speeder stiff, and found that I got much less distance, and that I had difficulty getting the clubhead through the ball. This is not the case with the 983 K. This is just a great club.
