Titleist 975L-FE Drivers

DESCRIPTION

A tour-proven 350cc driver that is 12% larger than the 975J but features the same great profile. The head size and weight distribution enhance players who prefer a straight to fading ball flight.

By far the most inconsistant portion of my game has been the tee box. I have hit a good many driver/shaft combonations over the last few years to try and remedy the situation of needing a chainsaw to get to my drive, with little luck. I gave the 975L-FE with two different shafts and the one which suited my swing the best was the 85 gram BiMatrix stiff flex. The only way to describe this is point-and-shoot. I can't hit it with pinpoint accuracy, but I hit twice the fairways with it over the last few drivers. Much more consistant feel and I hit a very straight ball flight, some with a slight draw. I also find it easier with the bigger clubhead, but I think that is a preference and confidence is the key to good ball striking. Worth the price to say the least.

Model Reviewed: 975 l-fe 8.5 graffaloy 4565

I just got the 975 l-fe 8.5 degree with the graffaloy (100-105 mph swing speed)off ebay for a steal. My home course in new york just opened up this week and I just used the club today for the first time. It took only 2 shots before I started crushing it consistently. The course was extremely wet and windy. My drives were going dead straight and carrying 270 yrds with 2 feet of role into the wind(yes very wet fairways) I can't wait untill the course dries out :)I could not believe it the club is amazing. I love it, the same if not farther then the erc II. Did I mention I am 16? Fade enhancer remains to be seen. $145? YOU GO BUY NOW!!

Have tried and owned many of the top drivers of the day and untill recently playing a 975D in preference to TM R360,Mizuno forged,Hawkeye,i3.Thought it could not be bettered and not preparred to pay for the next HYPED step up,but how wrong was i.First took it onto range flew the 250 yrd marker first hit, everyone after hit the back fence with several over the fence.Re-assured,took club to important trial that Sunday, missed one fairway and very long.Knew i was going to like it because of the D shape and set up so similar,is larger but not to obvious at address or in a clumbersome way,but it is MUCH MUCH longer and very easy to control. The step up is remarkable.Like many of the reveiwers, the club suits the draw flight as it straightens the flight whereas my draw would mean i align the D down the right to end up in the middle,it can mean that to end up on the right side of a tight fairway to attack a pin on the left, you can just aim straight or even hit a mild fade taking all the trouble away along the right side when teeing up,something i was never able to do with the D.Simply put by many here AWESOME. Just my experience,But the first and only reveiw on a club i have felt worthy of comment.Hope it helps.

Model Reviewed: 975L-FE

Bought the club 3 weeks ago and just played 8 rounds in Florida. I am ecstatic about this club. When things go bad for me, my draw turns into a bad hook. With the 975L-FE, I consistently visited a new area of the golf course: the right side of the fairway -- and long!! I hit a few "bad" shots based on the same feel from similarly poor swings with my old Taylor Made. The results were astonishing - these bad shots lost 30-50 yards off my normal drives, but the ball was still in play on the left edge of the fairway or at worst in the left rough. Exceptionally forgiving, and did I mention - long!! One of my playing partners uses a 975D and was always 20-40 yards longer than me. Now he says he's going to have to upgrade his driver to get that yardage differential back! My confidence standing up to the ball is better than ever and the club allows me to feel like I'm swinging through the ball rather than at it. I recommend this driver to anyone who's looking for length, forgiveness, and unsurpassed confidence off the tee. Using Graffaloy 4565 stiff shaft - getting more boring trajectory with greater carry than Firesole

Model Reviewed: 975 LFE 8.5*

I purchased this a few weeks ago, but just had the chance to hit it outside for the first time. After 5 rounds of golf, I will say that this club has been the best addition to my golf bag in some time. I'm hitting it further (noticably, not just a couple of yards) and straighter than any driver I've played before. The last 2 drivers in my bag were the Mizuno T-Zoid forged (known more for accuracy than distance), and the 975D. I demoed quite a few drivers in the last year (Cleveland launcher, Nike 350cc, Cobra 350cc, Taylor 300), and this was the first one to impress me enough to shell out the dough. Now for the specs. I have a strong swing (110-115 mph), which is why I chose the 8.5* with the Pro-force stiff shaft (debated between this and the Speeder, but was unable to demo one with the Speeder, so I chose this one). If you liked the old Grafalloy 35+ or 45+, you will absolutely love this shaft. Probably a little stiffer than most "stiff" shafts, and less torque than the older Grafalloy shafts. I hit this club higher than my old 975D 8.5* with the Grafalloy 35+ or Mizuno with Proforce 65s. Also with this shaft, I can hit a high fade, or a low draw. I'm not saying I can do it on demand, as I'm just not that consistent, however both of those shots are in this club/shaft combo. A friend of mine was 5-10 yards longer with our old drivers (he had a Launcher, I had the T-Zoid forged). He got the new Nike 400 CC and I got this club and this past week I was 10-20 yards longer consistantly. The Nike was very forgiving, as toe hits were going almost as far as flush ones (only about 10-15 yards less). This club is supposed to be fade enhanced, but I didn't see much of that. I normally have a slight draw flight, and had pretty much the same flight with this club, but I was able to fade the ball easier when I wanted to. Here is probably the best testimonial I can give. I'm a long hitter but a little inconsistent, and I usually lose a ball or 2 a round off the tee. I played 5 rounds of golf in Pinehurst this past week (first rounds in 5 months), and I only lost one ball off the tee (it was an absolutely horrible swing) and did not hit any other drive in the woods. The game is a lot easier when you are playing in the fairway all the time. Now that the price is dropping (can get it brand new on Ebay for around $200), this is a great value for the performance. The new 983 is supposed to be longer, but I can't imagine its gonna be worth twice as much as this club.

Model Reviewed: L-FE w/ Ultralight 60 Shaft

975 L-FE. What does the LFE stand for? Who knows, but I like to think it means Long Fade Enhancer, because thats exactly what this new product from Titleist does for my drives. I'm firsthand proof that this club can change your game if your current driver is a bit out of date. I used to shoot in the 90s consistently, mainly due to not being able to get off the teebox very well. Just two rounds after I bought this club I fired an 82, my best round ever. It was the length and consistency of the L-FE that made the difference. The large head of the club gives you confidence standing over the ball, a key component to making a good swing. In addition, off-center ball strikes that used to be shanks with my old driver are now GOOD shots that lose only 20-30 yards yet still go straight. The forgiveness of this club is downright remarkable. As most people will attest, its hard to draw the ball with this club. If you have problems with monster hooks this may be the perfect club for you. And if you fade the ball already I recommend hitting this one on the range or in a store first, because slicers will just lose it right over and over. That being said, my swing has always produced a slight fade. Yet I still hit the same fade with the L-FE, but now I have infinitely more control over it as well as a whole lot more distance. Titleist offers 5 different factory installed shafts, each suited for a certain swing. I chose the Ultralight because I have a slower, smoother swing, and it seems to be a great fit. Read the descriptions provided by Titleist before you buy a club with a shaft that may not fit your style. All in all a wonderful club!

Its a great club which allows you to hit through rather than swinging motion. Have a 44.5 inch long and a soft R ultra light 50 Titleist shaft. Very consistent & long in my drives these days. For golfers whose use regular shafts on their drivers I would advise that a soft regular for Titliest Drivers as the bore through length will make it a regular.

Customer Service

Good. Titliest can make custom length & shafts with no additonal costs.

After trying about 5 different drivers for 3 weeks I decided on the L-FE. I found one on E-bay for a great price with 8.5 degree loft and a stiff Fujikura Speeder shaft. My old driver was a steel Orlimar 9.5 degree. I found that the L-FE gave me a more boring ball flight which produced about 15 more yards in roll. I have a slightly quick tempo and sometimes struggle with a hook. This club seems to have minimized my miss to the left. Now when I hit a good drive I get a very straight ball flight, and my quick hooks end up more in the left side of the fairway and not in the rough or trees. If your looking for some more yards and sometimes miss with a hook, this driver is for you.

First I bought the 975J VS and liked it, but I normally draw the ball, so with this club I was really putting a draw on it. So I decided to switch to the 975L Fe,at first I didn't know if I made the right decision. The sound is quiet diffrent from the VS, the L FE is more of a dud than a ping. But the performance is what I care about most. I can easily draw or fade the L Fe and the distance is good, lots of roll.... I really liked the Grafalloy shaft. I am happy with the driver. It would be a great addition to anyone bag.
