None Over the last 3 years, I''ve used the 975D (9.5 degree)and it is a great driver. I have always hit this driver high, and it has terrific carry. When the 975J came out I decided to demo the 7.5 with a proforce 75, and wow!! This club not only has greater carry than the 975D but the ball rolls once it lands. Even though the loft is low this is a forgiving powerful club, and hits the ball with a flat boring trajectory (surprising given the size of the head). I now need 1-2 less club to reach greens. I am not the biggest hitter out there but I am longer off the tee than ever before, and loving this game. Not cheap but this is the weapon of choice. None This club is simply awesome. I first tried it on a demo day at the range, and i was really cracking the ball, hitting it over the fence which was 30m high 230m away. The ball trajectory is high but it doesn''t ballons, in fact it increases distance as the ball stays longer in the air and with little spin. This is a great club and since i''ve gotten it, i''ve managed to reach the longest par 5 on my course, which is 612 yards! As for the price, they don''t come any cheaper than what its worth. None I had the 975d previous to owning the J. I hit the J much better and feel more comfortable at address. I have always been a long hitter but I have still picked up 5-10 yards with the J. I am comfortable going all-out for a long par5 or in attempt of driving a par4. The loft tends to play a little higher than it would with the D. Similar Products Used: None |

9.5* Titleist 975J with stiff flex Fujikura Speeder 757 shaft

None I wasn''t very enthused by the reported size of this driver. But after standing over this thing at address, the size was not a problem. Looks normal, classic styling. The grooves are different than they are in the D, more shallow, so less spin. This resulted in me not being able to work the ball as well, but reduced my bad shot, a slice, to only a fade, and my normal ball flight to a slight fade. I gained 10 yards over the 975D, my old driver, but that might also have to do with my new shaft, the Speeder, and not just the head. Overall, great feel, increase in distance, more forgiveness. I''m hitting more fairways too. Good product. However, very steep price. Customer Service Great, Golf Galaxy custom ordered straight from Titleist. Titleist responded quickly. I got the club in less than a week. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made 300 Series (all models), Callaway Hakeye VFT (Normal and Pro Series), Titleist 975D, Orlimar HipTi |

None I just got this today and I am not impressed. Titleist say you should stick with the same degree as the 975D so I did. With the same shaft the ball balloons up and stays there I''m not looking forward to a windy day!!! With the correct degree this would be good but for me and 8.5 EI-70 goes like a 11.5. Similar Products Used: None |

This is by far the best driver out so far by Titleist, it was hard to hit at first but now I can shape my shots at will and pump it 270 METERS (longer than yards) I would not recomend this driver to high handicapers because it may be forgiving but to a certan extent, it has a hefty price tag but you cant put a price on sucess!!! Customer Service Titleist always have the best customer service Similar Products Used: The 975D is the most similar in feel and workability, but the TM 320 is the most similar in distance, aaah! the best of both worlds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

When I hit the club correctly it went far, drove the green ( actually a little further) on a 275 yard par 4. With the wind I hit it 298 yards. Not very forgiving, feels somewhat heavy to me. Maybe to much of a "pro-club" for me. Doesn't feel like a part of my swing, that's why there is a hundred different golf clubs!!!! Similar Products Used: Great Big bertha, Taylor made titanium |

If you are a weekend golfer like me who wants more consistent drives off the tee, then this club will definitely improve your game. Make no mistake, this club will not cure your slices or hooks (you need to take lessons for that), but it will definitely help you with consistency and length off the tee. For me, it was well worth the money to be able to hit drives straight down the fairway, even on mishits. Second shots are so much easier off the short grass than from the woods. This club is long and straight off the tee, with solid feel during impact. It is forgiving to a certain extent but don't expect miracles if you shank the ball. It is definitely in a league of its own. I have a swing speed of about 100mph, so the Graffalloy, Prolite 35-S shaft with 9.5 loft works very well for me. I tried the 8.5 loft but found my self having to swing much harder to get it sufficiently airborne. If you can, you should definitely try this club out at a driver range first to find out if it suits your swing before buying. But either way you really can't go wrong with this top quality driver. This driver will be in my bag for a long time. Similar Products Used: Callaway VFT Hawkeye |

Titleist 975J 8.5* EI-70 Stiff
I just love this club. I've tried many drivers out there, but this one seems to be the best suited for me. I hit it 10-15 yards further w/ a higher launch angle(not ballooning). I tried the Graffaloy stiff shaft also and that one seemed more stiffer than my EI-70, which is better for me since I don't have a 100+ mph swing. Anyways, this club does exactly what Titleist says it does. Higher launch angle, more forgiving, and increased distance. I finally found the perfect driver for my swing. If you have an in-to-out swing you will definitely be rewarded w/ this club, but that's true w/ any club I guess. Not as hard-to-hit as many people said it would be. I have always avoided Titleist clubs because of that. Don't be intimidated by that and try it out yourself. Great great club!! I used to own a Callaway Hawkeye VFT 10* stiff. I hit it like a 6* or something, no high launch angle, plus not to mention the unpredictable and erratic results of mishit shots. Sold it after 2 rounds. Never buying a Callaway again. I really love the club and I hit it the same distance as my TM 360 w/ a ust ultra 47 shaft(47 gram 46") I used to average abt 4 fws per round now I am up to abt 10. I got the j w/ a 43.75" Rifle steel shaft. I also recieved a prototype of the new cleveland launcher drive 3 weeks ago and it is just as good as the J only it will have a better price. So that may be an alternative if the price concerns you. Customer Service Service reps are the best in the buisness and the custom dept will do their best to help you play you best.
