This is my first driver because I used to hit a 3 wood off of the tee. I understand that it isn't the most forgiving driver, but I hit it well. I hit it pretty straight most of the time. If there's a huge hook or a big slice, it's not the driver's fault, it's my fault. The feel is great and the sound is awesome, too. I'm a 17.1 handicap and I use this club and am turning into a better driver of the ball from the tee box. I don't like the big headed drivers, so the 975D is perfect. If you rate this club less than a 3, you're on crack because this club is so great. Now all that I need to do is reshaft it with a quality shaft such as the EI-70 or a Grafalloy ProLite 3.5. One round I hit every fairway (I played 17 holes, had to skip the first) except for one, I'm not lying either. I drive the ball 240-260 yards.

None at all really, I hit a TaylorMade 320 and Callaway VFT into a net and the 975D was better feeling and a lot less expensive.

amazing club. the low penetrating ball flight is a added bonus to a driver that already provides better then average distance. im not afraid to take a good hard swing with this club cause i know where the ball is going to go. it is a very workable club that stays on line well in the wind. all titleist clubs are amazing except for the vokey wedges

very poor to say the least

All I can say is...simply amazing.

Customer Service

Flagstick's customer service is sketchy at times. There is this old ornery guy there that doesn't remember your name and thinks he is the God of golf.

Had 4 drivers in my bag ( 3demos plus my GBB). The driving range I was at had a "green" w/flagstick at 242yds. I could roll a drive up to the front of this green with everything else. This club flew the ball to the flag, then rolled another 20-30 yds past. This club also had a Proforce 65 reg shaft, good shaft for my swing. Have played 3 rounds since I bought the club, avg. drive distance up 20 yds, avg fairways hit up up 3-4 per round. Great driver!

This is one of the finest drivers around, and with the new J model now released they can be picked up at a reasonable price. The best word to describe this club is solid. There are much easier to work the ball with than pretty much all the latest drivers on the market. They are not quite as long as the newer J model or the TM's etc but they dont give away too much in terms of lenght. What they do they make up for in terms of accuracy and workability. Simply a very fine club. Be careful to get the right shaft and loft for your game though.

i have a really strong swing and i love this club, mines a 7.5 degree with a proforce 75 stiff flex (love the shaft) and i just demolish this club. i average 310+ with this driver. Im soo glad i got it, this is just my 4th year palying and i know ill only get better, when u hit this it feels sooo pure and crisp. i find it difficult not to hit it in the sweet spot. ive had mine for a year and i dont see myself ever wanting a diff driver, well maybe if titlest makes a newer version but i woudlnt want the 975F becuase thats just the same driver with a bigger head and this head is perfect already. this weekend i went golfing and out of 14 times i used the driver i hit the fairway 10 times, and none were under 300 and i had a couple in the high 330's. this club is just greatness. I dont think people that shoot in the 90's and 100's should ever complain about a club, obviously they have alot more wrong with their swing then what to complain about a club. callaway driver cant compare at all, callaway is over-priced and under-quality, the taylor made driver feels horrible and cant touch the titlest, the ping is pretty good but i prefer the titlest

Spectacular, especially for $199. Now that the 975J is out prices for the D have dropped. This club is not really that hard to hit, I get good distance and great workability. Reccommend it for those who shoot in the high 80s and better. Great sound.
