I test drove this, a GBB titanium, Yoney ADX and a Taylor Made Ti Bubble but kept coming back to this one. I like the simplistic shape of the head probably because I used to play with a persimmon wood!. I get a nice ball flight and excellent distanceand I think it has added about 20 yards at least. I am looking out for the 975F 3 wood at the moment.

I had a 10.5 975D which I hit as well as my swing would allow. I had it for years but thought I'd try a Ping since I bought a 3 wood that I can actually hit off the fair, unlike the 975F, which is very difficult to hit, unless you're Tiger. The Ping was just too wild off the tee for me since I have a Nick Price-like tempo. I weakened my grip so exchanged the Ping back to a 975D but with 8.5 degrees and a heavier shaft, Ei-70. Man, it feels good. I should never had bought the Ping. No offense though, they make good irons and putters and 3-woods. Just look in the bags of the PGA Tour players who aren't getting paid the big bucks to play the lastest thing-I bet you'll see some 975D. The J is about the same. A little more tinny sounding. I think the D sounds and feels a litte more solid.

Well, I've played this club on and off for about three years now,and I must say, I believe it has found a permanent place in my bag. It is simply the most consistent, best feeling driver I've ever hit, but, light hitters need not apply. This club works well for guys who like to hammer away with the driver, especially with the heavy EI-70 shaft, it creates a very stiff, stable platform. I will continue to play this for quite some time. Quite long, workable, and feels so good.

I've been using a Orlimar Trimetal Deep Faced Driver for the past 5 months or so. It's a good driver but I'm beginning to look for more power in my shots and more advanced clubs. I looked at reviews everywhere (and here) and the 370+ good reviews for this club got my attention. I found a good deal on eBay and bought it. My first round with the clubs was excellent, but I lost a lot of control because of the required clubhead speed. I started to swing a little more inside-outside, and the drives beautifully straightened out. The second round I had with the club today was great. My drives are still straight and even further than before. Amazingly, I was also be able to work my drives! I usually have trouble even hitting a straight drive. This club is used by pro's and I definetly see why. I recommend it to everyone.

First let me confess. I am biased towards Titleist equipment as their products do excel beyond others. This driver is awesome. Talk about a low penetrating ball flight. You can still hit dead straight drives in any windy condition because hte ball flys low. It gets excellent roll and I have increased my overall distance over my previous great big bertha pro series driver. Although the sound might not be as metallic as you callaway players like, the feel of the 975D is incomparable. I would recommend this one over the J model as this is a lot less expensive and feels pretty much the same. I believe the head size for the D is 275cc and the J is 312cc. Best driver for the money.

i have been using a taylor made 320ti for the last year, before that it was a taylor made firesole i have had some problems with hitting the ball too high especially in the windy conditions we get here.enter the titleist 975d. i was recently playing in a scratch cup and loosing 30/40 yards on my fellow competitors when i noticed that they both had 975d's. on comparing clubs and discussing plusses and minuses they advised me to get a 975d and not the j or jvs. i went out and swopped my 320 plus some cash( because taylor mades have the trade in value of mouldy bread after a few months)and lo and behold a beautifully low penetrating flight. admittedly i am not hitting the ball 300+ into the wind like some of these lads who can't breake eighty on a good day who send in reviews but i am getting more roll and the ball is not nearly comming back to me into the wind as it was with the 320. also it is easier to hold in wet weather. when you think of it isnt it amazing all the same that with all the money being spent on development and all the advances in clubhead and shaft technology that someone hasn't developed a grip that stays put in your hand in the wet. now i would buy them straight away.

I usually shoot in the high 80's low 90's, but I expect that to decrease now that I have this club. I used to swing a 400cc Integra with a reg shaft and would hit a high, hard fade. My distance was never too bad, but accuracy wasn't very good(which affected distance too). My power was wasted. What this club does is take every ounce of power I can muster and direct it into the BEST possible ball flight. When they say the ball flight is penetrating, they aren't kidding. That's exactly what its doing. I've got the 6.5 degree with the EI-70 stiff shaft. If you don't like this club, something is wrong with your game and you should fix it. This club is perfect. Perfect.

I was from the old school that persisted in the belief that it was the swing, not the equipment, that made the golfer. I didn't believe that you could buy a lower handicap. I have played a Golfsmith 230CC driver for the last 10 years. As I aged and my back started to limit by backswing, my driving distance shortened up considerably to amount 230 carry. The scores started to creep up. It was time to find out if money could indeed buy a lower handicap. It was time for some of that new technology. I tested the Titleist 975J, with the UST Proforce 75 shaft, at a local demo day and was astounded at the increase in distance. Range balls were flying over the 250 yard marker with very little side to side dispersement. Most of them went dead straight. Well I couldn't afford the asking price of the 975J so I picked up the 975D, with the same Proforce 75 stiff shaft, for a lot less. I can't tell if there is any difference between the J and D. I still hit them way out there and very straight. In fact my only complaint is that I can't play my natural shot, the fade, anymore. It just goes straight or draws a bit. The clubhead is so big and gives you so much confidence that you can just rip at it. The driving range isn't long enough any more..... and yes, the scores are coming down

This golf club is great, I used hit the ball about 250 on a good drive with my old driver. I got this baby and hit a 300 yard drive the 2nd day I had it. I am averaging about 275 on my drivfes now. This driver will keep you in the fairways and way past your fellow players. I've gone from hitting 7 and 6 irons to hitting sand and lob wedges into some greens. This club is simply amazing and is worth every penny of what i spent on it.
