originally attached to a penley tour light which i broke while attempting a power fade. the club pro bought a 983k and i contra'd this for a round of golf. just fixed this to a penley eta s-flex @ 45.25 inches with a d6 swingweight and a golf pride powerlink grip. it's highly workable and altho i keep hearing abt low piercing trajectories, my eta version goes high and long. just tried it yesterday & the net at the range maxes out at 210m / 231yds (net height is 35m / 127ft). i hit it (in heavy rain) to abt 25m above ground - and it was still climbing. swingspeed was 108-112mph. so i figure that it would probably go to my avg distance (250-270m / 275-297yds). excellent. i prefer my zevo compressor on the 46" eta s-flex though ... goes further, flies marginally lower (faster swingspeed also 109-118mph).

I was using a no name 10.5 thrown in with a set of used Pro Staff irons I bought. Could not get consistent control or distance with it. Very disappointed and discouraged I mostly used a three wood off the box. A pro giving me lessons pulled out a 975D demo for me to try. WOW. Effortless, smooth, balanced, and long. I got one on Ebay for $115 with the head cover. Now I regularly get 230 to 260yds straight out the fairway and my swing is not powerful or fast. I was shooting in the 100's, now breaking deep into the 90's. Slices and hooks are now rare instead of common. Very forgiving. Excellent club a if you have decent swing mechanics. Big sweet spot for control. Well balanced to keep the club head where it needs to be at contact. Easy to swing. You don't have to be a pro to get results with this one. I'm 45 and just beginning to play golf within the last year. My golf group is accusing me of sandbagging on them.

Excellent driver, and perfect size. Tiger said it best when he went back to the 975D just recently..."Bigger doesn't mean better?" I went from a Callaway to this a few years back, and am averaging every bit of 280-300 off the tee, and often tag one well over 300. My swing speed is extremely fast, and this driver still mantains accuracy and control. I am a Titleist fan, and have tried the drivers they have produced since the 975D, but neither perform like this one. These drivers are hard to find now, but are extremely cheap when you do.

I first try this golf club this year because my father was using it for the last 2 years. The first time i've hit this club, I felt in love with it. My old driver was an a Callaway Big Bertha War Bird 9* LH. I usually hit it about 220 to 230. But when I first it the 975D I bomb it 260 yards and i'm only 13 years old. The best caracteristic of this driver are that it produce an a penetrating fly, it is very forgiving, it is very workable and this driver is very long. If you search for a driver and you find a 975D buy it immidiately because they are no more in production and they have an a superb value.

I am 22 years of age and over the years I have played everything from taylor mades to pings. This driver is BY far the most playable and solid club I have EVER hit. Before I bought this club was a consistant 1-3 handicap golfer and my driving was my weak point. I bought the titleist based on reviews alone and the first time I hit the club I knew why everyone raved about it. I used to average 280 from the tee and now I am consistantly driving the ball 300-320 with ease and DEAD DOWN THE MIDDLE! This club alone in my bag dropped me down to a scratch handicap!

This club is really awesome. Mine have 8.5 loft and Grafallow 35-S, thats really work really nice for me. I hate when people say "This club is only for low handicap", damn i got a 105-110 mph swing,i have an average about 270-290 and if im hitting a good one, it can go 300+, i just play 1 time a week, its for that i cant play under 85,so stop saying that this club if only for scracht golfer or for 70's golfer. Thank you and have a good season.

I have had this club going on 4 years now and I would not trade it for any other driver in the world. I fell in love with this driver from the first time I hit it. On avg. I hit it about 280-290yds and when I really get a hold of it 300+. But the distance is not why I love this club, it is the control, workabilty, and feel of this club not to mention the classic look that has me hooked. I will say this right now the only way someone is getting this driver from me is when they pry it from my cold dead hand.
