TaylorMade Supersteel Drivers

TaylorMade Supersteel Drivers

DESCRIPTION

SuperSteel is stronger than the steel traditionally used in metalwoods, enabling both the club head and sweetspot to be larger. this allows for thinner face walls that transfer more power to the ball. The result is increased velocity and a more explosive hitting area for more distance.

Great club. My first round using it saw all my drives in the middle of the fairway and between 275-320. It is very easy to hit and the clubhead isn't enormous like so many of the new drivers out there. I would recommend it to anyone.

I extended the the shaft a half inch. The length and swingweight are perfect for me now.
At 44 inches I am hitting straighter drives with more forward roll and distance than my old 45 inch 10.5 degree driver.
I'm 5 foot ten and hit 275 to 300 yard drives IN THE FAIRWAY with a driver that is one inch shorter than most drivers. Length is nothing without accuracy! This club is accurate, and the shorter length makes me able to work the ball easier than a 45 inch driver. I could never draw the ball with a driver very well until I got this club. Now I can hit fades and draws and hit it straight with confidence!
I also love the looks and power band lines for alignment.
I haven't tried the new 250 cc supersteel driver which is a half inch longer, but if anyone has compared the two, please leave a review of them here or e-mail me.

Really underrated club. got it with steel shaft, and it really shoots off the clubface. like the lines on top, gives you a feel of if you are lined up correctly. face has a draw angle which is ok for me, tough to fade. fades go straight which i will take every time.
head is a bit smaller than GBB and shorter shaft length
overall, great club for the money

Customer Service

Golfsmith did a good job with assisting me and answering questions concerning shaft type, swing speed. plus i got to hit as many balls as i wanted.

This driver just suits me. I have always had trouble getting off the tee with a driver until I bought this one (I have always hit 3W). I find it's easy to align and very, very forgiving. I have also been very pleased with the distance, consistently hitting 270-280yds with a couple a round going 300+yds. It generally has a very low trajectory so you don't need as low of a loft as you might think. The only way I miss fairways now is with bad swings. I love this driver and would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent Product. The distance is a little deceptive at first, the 9.5 feels like you're hitting -8.5 degree, because of it's low boring trajectory. Very responsive if you are trying to work the ball, ironically forgiving with mis-hits. It is definitely one of the top three drivers out there. the price is excellent too, between 2 and 3 hundred dollars less.

The 975("Tiger Driver") is a great driver too but $500 for an additional 5 yards is not worth it.

This is one of the best steel woods ever made. I paid 275 CDN for mine, as Taylor Made brought down the price because of their new 300 series. The club has great feel, and has good ball flight (not too high or too low).

As for distance, I hit this about 265-270 on average (I am 14). I can hit a 320 about 280. I don't really think that that extra 10 yards is worth the 300 dollars (or more) that I would have to pay for it.

As compared to the Callaway Steelhead Plus. I like the Taylor Made alot more. The Callaway has a dead feel to it, and the head twists really easily and has no stability.

I would recommend this club to anybody, but TRY EVERYTHING before you buy. If you do decide on this club. Try every possible shaft and loft before making your decision, because it can make a huge difference. Happy Shopping!!!
