TaylorMade Supersteel Drivers

TaylorMade Supersteel Drivers

DESCRIPTION

SuperSteel is stronger than the steel traditionally used in metalwoods, enabling both the club head and sweetspot to be larger. this allows for thinner face walls that transfer more power to the ball. The result is increased velocity and a more explosive hitting area for more distance.

I changed to the 9.5 degree Super Steel 90S rifleshaft Offset driver and liked it alot. I changed to the Super Steel 250 9.5 degree rifleshaft w/o the offset and love it. The deeper face and larger head give you more confidence and the trajectory is perfect. The accuracy and workability are excellent and you get alot of roll when the ball hits the ground. Even in the wind a nice smooth swing sends the ball ripping through the air and the roll makes 270 yards average seem easy. When you really want to rip it 300+ is no problem.

I recently traded in a Titleist 975D for this driver !!. My initial comments on the TM SS250 are that:
1. It's a great club to swing (great feedback and feel throughout the swing),
2. The explosive sound at impact is very satisfying,
3. It is a very accurate club and is easier to align than a T975D,
4. The carry is probably less than a T975D, but I get a lot more roll with TM SS250 so overall my driving distances are up,
5. It is a far easier driver to "work the ball" with than a T975D. I had trouble hitting a draw with the T975D, but not with the TM SS250.

A very nice club for the advantage of a good golfer. I have hit some good and some bad shots. Pros- Total face is is hittable, very nice impact sound, nice tempo, sweetspot hits go very long. cons- off-center hits result in 20-30yds less and do not go strait, aslo the club looks weird. overall very, very good for the price. plus with taylor made you cant go wrong...
I higly recommened the fairywoods- the best wods ever made

I really liked this driver when i first got it. It was my first good brand driver so th novelty of it kinda let me like it more than i should have. I saw results with it pretty quickly and attributed it to the driver, but it was also when i started playing everyday and was probably that. Now as I use this it just maked me wish i had bought something different. Which is what i intend to do tomorrow. This club just looks weird at address, and doesn't perform for what i paid.

I got the R-Flex Steel shaft. Excellent Driver. Improved my accuracy greatly. Just need a smooth swing without trying to kill the ball and you can hit it consistetly 240+ when needed.

This is a very under-rated driver.
I owned a T-Zoid Forged, sold it to put this in my bag.

Consistant drives of up to 275, yes i hit a regular shaft - i have a long smooth swing. But anyway this club has playability written all over it.

Don't assume that you need titanium,i hit this club as good as i hit the TM 320, and i saved quite a bit.

If you see one of these in your golf store try it, they will all be gone soon.

At first I thought this club was the
Greatest thing I was hitting nice and
Straight, no problems with distance then
I notice that if you hit the ball on the heel of the club it will bend or brake
I went through 2 of these clubs and every time I took it back to the store I bought from there was always 2 or 3 behind the counter with the same problem.
I think the club is good for people with a slow swing speed under 90 mph
I got the new ping I3 driver now VERY NICE!!!!

Although I have played these clubs only 3 times so far, I feel as if they will really improve my game. The weight and balance is very comfortable. Although I have never been able to control the shapes of my shots very well, I feel that this club is giving me the ability to do so. I have been a slicer from birth, but now am drawing some shots. I hit many different clubs before I bought these, and for the price, I think it felt almost as good as the Callaway x-14's.
