You might not get as much distance out of the R7 425 compared to a 460, but you will hit every fairway (depending on your preferred weight set up). Much more control and the new ReAx shaft is unbelievable. You can actually feel the tip give the extra whip right before contact. Amazing! I don''t know about you, but I would sacrifice 20-30 yards in distance but hit the fairway 90% of the time! Great feel, great balance, great MWT, great balance. I'll definitely keep this one in my bag for a long time! |

I have a Nvs 65r shaft.I have this setup heel weighted and Man do i love this driver , I hit 8 of 10 fairways and drove it over 250 yards each time. I was hitting a 210 yards 20 yard fade before this. This club has been GREAT! Whoever said this is a low handicap driver must not be a high handicapper like me. I have been playing for three months and just broke 100 with this awsome club. It was so good I have ordered the R7 ti 3 wood. I am 51 years old and have never hit the ball this far before (well that's only the last three months) (18 rounds). 285 yards with a regular flex shaft, Wow! ( well I got a lot of roll in the fairway because they were getting ready to seed and had mowed it short.) Love the club it is like magic for me. Please take the time and go to a range were they have these clubs available for a demo and see how amazing this club is.

The last couple of years been playing 460 size drivers.Had a hit of a friends 425 and hooked the ball but loved the feel of the club.Purchased my own TM425 set up the weights and now have one hot driver. The slightly smaller head sets up well behind the ball (nearly square)and is alot easier to shape your tee shots.I would recommend this driver to any golfer.Distance wise it goes as far as you can hit it. R7 425 TP 9.5
I bought this driver when i was struggling to get the ball off the tee and as i play off 5 i thought it would be a good purchase. I payed 499.99 for this club from my local pro shop and it is the best driver i have ever used in my life. The good thing about this driver is that it is so forgiving. Although u pay alot of money for a driver of this quality it was money worth spent. You get with this driver a weight kit worth 60 pound and the taylor wrench in a nice pouch and the headcover is something special. This club would suit any single figure handicap. I bought this club with a fujikura re.ax 75 stiff shaft and the shaft is pure quality.

Reading reviews I see a lot of people saying that if you have a handicap of 18 or more you shouldn't buy this club. Both me and my son shoot the same scores a lot and he has the 9.5 and I have the 10.5 loft club stiff shaft oversized Win grips, neutral setting. And we hit this club consistantly around 270 yards plus. And have been known to hit it over 320. At the driving range we hit the net at the back on the fly which is 250yards out. So your theory about handicap is out the window. And I am very accurate with this club. Now saving to buy the r7 weighted cgb irons. Similar Products Used: I have used the Big Bertha, The Cleveland Launcher And the Ping G5 with the G5 working the best of that bunch. But I won't give up my R7 after using it. |

okay okay okay, i dont know what half these people are talking about when they say its good for a 1 to 2 handicape golfer. no way this ckub is great for a 4o handicapper, its hard to hit, pfffffffft i love this club even when i hit it of center it still goes where i want it to. very forgiving and extremly long. i would reccomend this club if u are looking for a game improvment club. this is it. its preety expensive but worth the pay this driver is the best driver i have ever felt. i have the stock shaft in stiff and works dreams, i can fade the ball, draw it what ever i want to do with it. its very playable. id reccomend it to anyone who is serious about the game of golf or who wants to hit par 5's in 2. I've played 3 rounds with this driver now and have tinkered with the weight settings a bit. Driver has always been my trouble club, but the R7 425 has been great for me. I'm not sure I agree with the earlier reviews that this club is for near-scratch handicaps only. I'm playing the 10.5 in the Rombax R flex, and have hit more fairways than anything else I've tried. Just laced one 260 uphill into a good wind, right in the fairway.

Let me start by saying this is one of the best drivers that I have ever hit, hands down. The ball explodes off the face so quickly compared to my old Cleveland Launcher 330 that I had to adjust my eyes to find the ball in flight. Keep in mind that the launch angle on this club is relatively high, so if your old, smaller driver was a 10.5, for example, you might want to try a 9.5 or less. You could always play with the weights as well. Speaking of the weights, they worked extremely well, as I made an adjustment mid round (it was a practice round, don't crucify me) from neutral to slight draw. I wanted to get a true idea of the weight system's effectiveness, and I definitely saw a difference. I wouldn't recommend this club to bogey golfers, as at that level it is more the indian than the arrow. But if you have an already solid swing, and you are trying to shave those last few strokes off of your game to break into the 70s or even to get down to par, this club is for you. R7 425 TP
I have been playing competitive golf for the last 13 years. I have played under the gun…with several big name drivers. The R7 425 TP is not for the average golfer. This model should be played by low and when I say low I mean 1 or 2 cappers. Excellent for golfers at this level. 8.5 with Rombax x stiff really gives you control of the ball flight workable both ways. If you are above 1 or 2 cap go with the R7 460. Taylor Made R7 425
I play a different driver around every 12-18 months. When in the market this year, I considered what I thought to be the top three on the market: Callaway, Cleveland, and Taylor Made. I went in to my local golf superstore and lined them up and started swinging. I liked the R7 425 the best. The tour stiff factory shaft and movable weights made this an easy decision.
