I must say this is the best feeling and straightest driver that I have ever hit. I will hit 230 yds on off-center hits with this driver. I have not gained a significant amount of distance, maybe 5 - 10 yds (I hit 255 - 265 on a good drive), with this club, but the fact that it is in usually the fairway always gives me a shot at par. The feel is great and the fujikura RE-AX 60g stock shaft suits my swing just fine. My SS is approx 95 - 100 mph and the stiff shaft works perfectly. The ball flight is medium-high and rolls a good distance on center hits. I just purchased this club at my local sporting goods store on sale for $129, so the price could not be beat. If you are looking for a straight hitting, solid feeling driver look no further than the Taylor Made Burner '08. My Drives were about 205 to 215 on a good day, with my macgregor nvg2 driver, bought the burner and now the ball goes about 230 to 240 yards, took a little adjusting of the ball, but was it worth it, if your tired of being the short man in the group try a burner, you wont be sorry. Customer Service no need for it |

i just bout the new 09 burner and is the gratest driver out there it gave me about 20 yards more and straighter i think the extra distance comes from the less spin the driver has Similar Products Used: i used to use the callaway x 460 |

I've played lots of different drivers and this one is, hands down, clearly the best I've ever hit. Amazingly long, straight and forgiving. Just can't say enough about it. Get one and I'll guarantee it'll stay in the bag! Customer Service Not used. They called me Slicer. I had an R7 Draw and it went 150 yards and right. I tried a Nickent 3DX Square and it was better but I still miss hit. Today I bought the Burner with the free fairway wood. It is amazing. For me, it was 225 yards and straight down the fairway. Similar Products Used: Nickent 3DX Square. TaylorMade R7 Draw |

I nearly didn't purchase this club because of a few reviews on this site. This is an excellent club. The longer lighter shaft takes a little getting used to because your swing speed dramatically increases. The large bullet shaped head was also strange as I am used to smaller pear shaded head of the Titleist. However by the back nine of my first round I was hitting this ball longer and straighter. You can really rip into this and not have to worry about a severe hook or slice. Do not attempt to play this with a draw or fade if thats your natural shot. The driver hits the ball straight with a medium trajectory. I am not going to tell you it knocked 10 shots off my round because I was a decent driver of the ball regardless. I would highly recommend this club. Customer Service NA Similar Products Used: Titleist 907 D2 |
