I feel like I am cheating with this club. I have always fought a slice, now I have to get used to aiming down the right and playing from the middle or left side of the fairway. |

Taylor Made Burner 10.5 regular flex
I am relatively new to the game of golf, and after two years of using other peoples hand me downs, I finally feel confident enough to invest in some of the newer clubs this year. My first club that needed to be replaced was my driver. I had been using an old titleist driver I got at Play it Again sports for $40. I went down to the golf store and tried out several different brands both in stiff and regular flex, as my swing speed is on the line between the two. All I can say is that the Burner came home with me, and it wasn't even close. When I picked up the club, I wondered if I could even hit it 200 yards, it felt so light. My results put me at about 265-275 yards, with a little bit of a fade on it(my fault, not the clubs). About 20 yards further that any other club I tried, and about 50 yards better than my old driver. I can't wait for the snow to melt so I can get outdoors with it. |

TM Burner 9.5
Never have I more firmly planted my foot in my mouth than after I was fit into this driver. I am a strong swinger/long hitter that has played very stout, heavy shafts with great results to this point. For kicks I tried this on a launch monitor during a fitting/demo session...mind you, thinking I would HATE it and the 50gram sissy shaft that comes stock. That is when I swallowed my size 11.

burner driver
i haven't play with many drivers but hoping this helps to choose your club. i'm about 5'9" 155lb and have swing speed of around 92. i bought a regular flex 9.5 because my swing speed was in between regular and stiff but towards regular. i think it was good choice for my swing speed. Ball flies straight & high, but not too high. My 1st driver was R5 tp and the shaft was 45" and this burner was 46" so i had to get some adjustment and took me about 3-4 trips to range. At 1st i was hitting it all over the place specially to ground but after the adjustment(i stand up little more at address) it was easy to handle & i think i got about 10-20yrd more than R5. GREAT Driver for great price $185 new!! Customer Service called to get serial# verified because i got it thru e-bay and they confirmed it for me Similar Products Used: taylormade R5, R7 draw,R7 superquad |

Taylor Made Burner TP
Have played the R510 TP for a few years and wanted to upgrade to the newer generations of drivers. Tried out the FT-3, TM Superquad, and Burner TP. Hands down the Burner TP w/ 65 gram RE*AX shaft was the best fit for me. Very forgiving, long, and straight. The lighter 50 gram shaft was a bit light for me and my tempo, so the 65 gram was the proper fit. Love the look and feel. The FT-5 was not my cup of tea, and the Superquad wasn't nearly as long although I did love the look at setup with it. Customer Service In the past I caved in the face on my R510 and they were quick to send me out a new club. Similar Products Used: FT-5, Superquad |

10.5* RE*AX Stiff shaft. The shaft requires a more "sweeping" stroke, I have a fairly aggresive downwards movement from the top of my backswing causing everything to end up in the next zip code to my right. With a slightly softer sweeping swing it works very well. Testing it on the range hit four bals into a two yrd circle. So very precise, however it is probably only longer for those with older drivers in the bag. Customer Service No complaints Similar Products Used: KZG 395 Gemini, Fujukura VistaPro Sixty

Taylor Made Burner Draw Driver
After looking around for a new driver, I tend to hit with a slice. I had been hitting with Callaway Hawkeye, and a Tommy Armour Driver. So finally for Xmas I wanted a better driver, I wasn't satisfied with my current driver - I was hitting it maybe at best 200 yards but not consistently. So after Xmas I picked up the TaylorMade Burner Draw driver and just took it out last weekend for my first round. I couldn't be more satisfied - it was about 48 degrees, and a bit windy. I was consistenly hitting the ball anywhere from 220 to 250. And on top of it I was hitting it STRAIGHT! The driver was my weakest part of my game, and now it has become one of my better part of my game. Thanks TM for making a great product! I'm a TM guy now! I had been hitting a Callaway FT-3 all year and was hitting it ok. Guys started showing up on the first tee with the TM Burner and EVERYONE to the man loved the club (kept raving about how easy it was to hit sweet). I finally went to Golf Galaxy and hit the Burner, the Burner draw, and a FT-5 with 2 different shafts. Forget the FT-5. The launch monitor numbers said the regular Burner 10.5 regular flex 50gm shaft was the one. When I took it to the range I was amazed how I consistent hit it on the sweet spot almost effortlessly. Truly, Taylor Made has hit up on something special with this clubhead and shaft combination. Consistently straight and long. Customer Service Not required as of this time. This club produces a very consistent ball flight and a ton of forgiveness. I generally have a weak fade off the tee, but so far with this club I have been hitting a slight draw. I don't see any distance gained over my R7, I perhaps have even lost a few yards. The real payoff is in the control and increased consistency. I would take this trade off any day.
Customer Service Taylor Made (TM) has a customer for life. I owned a R7 Quad which I was highly satisfied with. However, a hairline crack emerged in the titanium which forced me to send it back to TM. They looked it over and honored their warranty. Here is the best part of the story...They don't make the R7 quad any longer, so they allowed me to pick a TM Burner driver off the shelf at Golfsmith and take it home at no additional charge. TAYLORMADE BURNER 460 DRAW
I recently demoed this club for a week (driving range 3 times, + 3 rounds). This club is sweet! Very forgiving, almost swings itself. Seemed like the easier i swung the farther it went. I tend to hit about 215-225 with my Dunlop driver. I found myself 250+ with this driver consistently. Compared to the Calloway FT-I this driver was about 10-15 yards longer. I found myself hitting this club very straight and hitting more fairways. I would definitely recommend this club over the FT-I and Nike Sumo for high handicappers.
