TM Burner 50g Stiff shaft
Been playing the Ping G2 with the Aldila NV65 stiff shaft for the past couple of years. Its a great club but i have a tendency to always push it right with a fade or slice thus, losing distance. So i decided to try out new clubs and went to Golftown and they taped up the Burner and made me hit some balls on the screen. On the screen the shots were pretty straight with even a slight draw which i was never able to do before with any club.My carry was ranging from 260 to 275 with some rolls to up to 300 yrds.Since the salesman assured me that the machine was pretty accurate, i bought the club. This morning i tried it on the driving range and brought also my G2. Compared with my G2, the burner went straighter and further and was even able to draw the ball.Out of the whole basket,i never once pushed it right or sliced the ball, and when hitting the G2,it was going right, fading ,with less distance. My average carry with the Burner was about 255-260 (compared to 230-240 with the Ping) but with cheap driving range balls so i cant wait to see how it does on the course with better quality balls. This club is very easy to hit, very forgiving on off center hits, pretty long, with a higher ball flight.I do beleive i will gain a real 10 to 15 yrd carry just because im hitting it straighter will less spin on the ball.I love the look at address and the sound is really nice.I do get more carry with this club than my G2 but less roll.Just from hitting one basket of balls, this club will definately go in the bag and will be selling my G2.The Burner is a great club and from what i saw at the range,im sure i will be hitting more fairways resulting in lower scores.Isn't that what we all want? I definatley recommend this club to anyone who wants to improve their game off the tee. |

Taylor Made Burner Draw
I'm a golfer who averaged in the low 80's but had to give up golf for a while. Last year I started playing against thanks to a hand-me-down set of clubs from my stepfather. I was hitting 220-240 with a huge slice and was very dissapointed with my used driver. I just got the Burner Draw as a birthday present and WOW! I've never had a club make such a huge difference in my game. I'm now hitting perfectly straight and averaging over 300 yards. I can see myself shooting in the mid 70's very soon with this club. I've never been so excited about golf. Customer Service Roger Dunn Golf Store. Great selection of new and used clubs. I got mine used for a discount and couldn't be happier. |

TaylorMade Burner 9.5 w/ 50 gram shaft
I purchased this club after having terrible success with my previous driver (Nike SUMO squared), and so far I have been more than impressed with the performance. As has been stated numerous times, this is a great club for those looking at improving accuracy. The distance gain is slight, however, even off-center hits seem to get up and out well. For those who like a bit of roll on your drives, look elsewhere. This is a carry club. Where the ball hits is where it stays for the most part. Overall, I'd say it was a fantastic upgrade: definately reccomended. Similar Products Used: Cleveland Launcher 425 & 460 8.5 loft

Taylor Made Tour Burner 10.5 Stock Fuji 60gm stiff
This new TM club is very forgiving. So far this club goes very straight, flush hits feel like butter and go about the same has other high moi clubs like the Titleist D1, Callaway FT-I. Off center hits still tend to go very straight with slight fades or draws. The club is a dual crown meaning the top is smaller then the base and is not distracting at all. This design gives it it's forgiveness as almost all of my shots went straight and went where i aimed, even mis-hits, except for the loss of distance off the toe or heel. Anyways, it's a deep face design which doesn't look too huge at address. The 60gm fuji feels good too and not overly light like the previous 50gm shaft in the burner. Anyways, great club for higher handicapper, or someone looking for ultimate forgiveness and don't like the square look of the other brands. Customer Service Haven't had to try it yet. Bought this drive because i snapped my callaway driver shaft. The no hosel callaway designs put a lot of stress on the shaft right down by the ferule. Taylor Made's standard designs do not have this problem. Similar Products Used: Callaway FT-I (2nd in straightness), Titleist D1 (good but still can fade it),

Taylor Made 460 Burner
I've now played 6 rounds with this driver after recently selling my Titleist 983K to a friend. Most of the reviews I've read are on the same line as mine. This driver hits the ball very straight, you can definitely tell on slight mis-hits as the club face will show you where contact was made. I'd say I was only losing 10 to 15yards on off centered hits. The Taylor Made is not as long as my Titleist but definitely without a doubt much more forgiving. The only slight problem is the driver does not make it easy to work the ball left or right, but i guess I'd rather be able to hit it straight the majority of the time then be able to work it on just a few holes per round.
Customer Service haven't used it. Similar Products Used: Titleist 983K, Callaway ERC2, Callaway biggest big bertha. |

Definately more forgiving than my old 425s but did not gain any distance at all like everyone is saying it seems I even lost some on other shots. My old driver had a stiff shaft, the new Burner has reg, thought that would give me more distance but no. Now the question is, do I want to hit more fairways or keep the distance and scramble on my second shots Customer Service no experience Similar Products Used: TM 425 |

Burner TP 8.5
I have always hit the ball a long way, on average 300 yards, however I have never had a non knockoff driver. I finally decided I wanted to complete my bag and get a driver that was not a 10 year old nike knockoff. I was always under the impression that it was the shaft more than the club and I had found a shaft I loved in the Proforce 75 gram x-stiff shaft I have been using for years. After reading several reviews I decided to purchase the TP on ebay for $225. I immediately took the stock shaft out because I just was not willing to let go of the shaft I have learned to love. I was not really looking for more distance because that was never my problem but wanted control. What I found after my first round of golf with the new club was shocking even to me. I was bombing this club! I was legitimately hitting the ball about 325-340 with 0 roll since the course was basically flooded. Not only had I added about 25-30 yards but was hitting it right down the middle. I had a little trouble working the ball, much easier to hit a fade then a draw but aim for the middle of the fairway and let it rip. I am looking forward to seeing how this club plays out but after my first round which was my first opportunity to hit the club I could not be happier. I added 25-30 yards if not more and more consistent I am not sure what else you could ask for in a club. Taylormade Burner TP 8.5 X-stiff 50g
I have been reading reviews here about this club and finally ordered one online. Decided to opt for 8.5* as most of you mentioned its high off the face. Amazing! I hit it effortlessly with greater distance 250 metres, and it really climbs even with 8.5*. With my titleist 905T, i had to really hit it accurately to get distance and straight. The x-stiff 50g shaft was also very good and i didnt feel it was that stiff. Would recommend it even if its an old model burner. Even my buddies are itching to buy one. Oh! did i mention with the TP, its still possible to shape my drives. Amazing! Customer Service Dont need one. Similar Products Used: Cleveland launcher 10.5 stiff, Titleist 905T stiff 65g. |

Taylor Made 2008 Burner Draw 460
I recently purchased the Taylor Made Burner Draw Driver 460 and was pleased with it for a few weeks. After that things went down hill, I developed a push no matter what I did with my set up. Last outing with it I hit 2 fairways, what a bummer. But when I went back to my Cobra LD all shots were in the fairway and straight with a little more distance than with the TM. Dont know what was wrong but I decided to cut the TM Loose and sold it, the person who bought the club is not satisfied with it and says ebay here it comes. I have talked with other players around the golf shops and courses and no one I talked with like the Draw feature but are greatley satisfied with the standard TM Burner 460. Maybe I made a bad choice with the draw feature, but I think I will stick with Cobra, I know what it can do. |

Taylor Made Burner 10.5
I have been using a TM R540 for the past 3 years and love it. I have been hitting consistent, straight 285 yard shots with it. Three weeks ago, I went to my local Golf USA and told Rob, the owner, that I wanted to get a newer driver to put me up to date with my counterparts. I tried a Big Bertha, a Hi-Bore, a Titlest, a Superquad, and a Burner. According to the computer, the TM Burner would give me 15-20 more yards and out of 20 balls 5 were more than 5 yards off center. Everything else was way shorter and way off center. This was a no brainer so, instead of paying $300 at the shot, i did the reasonable thing and checked out Ebay. Lucky me found a slightly used one for $110. I love it. After playing 4 rounds with it along with 3 trips to the driving range, I am very pleased. The extra distance is there and theaccuracy is so much better. I would highly reccomend this club to anyone.
