I last purchased a Taylor Made R7 when they first came out. That was about 4 years ago or so. Didn't realize how MUCH technology had changed in that few years. At least now, I know that 460cc head makes a difference. I tried this driver first while I was on vacation the 4th of July weekend. A guy I was playing with let me borrow it and I was IMPRESSED. The dual crown head, though a little different, is fairly traditional looking. The shaft has a great deal of resistance to torque and I can really go after it much better than my old R7. Trajectory is more piercing/boring. I don't know that I hit it much longer but I sure hit it straighter. Feels very solid. I know it's a VERY expensive driver and I got it at a very steep discount but I highly recommend the club. Much, much better graphics and set up than the Burner that is new last year (?) in my opinion. I was originally going to buy a SuperQuad (which I hit well when demoing it) but since they have quit making the club, took a gamble on this one. Glad I did.

I ordered this driver and received it a few days ago... hoping it would help get a grip on my wicked slice. I can get up to 300 yards off the tee, but that can be disastrous when the ball can also slice up to 90 degrees to the right!

This driver is so consistent and almost instantly instilled me with a sense of routine and confidence. The swing is easy and replicable. The ball definitely wants to play right to left and that will take some re-learning on my part. I easily shaved 3 stokes off my 9 hole round simply by keeping the ball on the fairway. I also took it to the driving range and hit a bucket of balls. After the first swing, all but two balls hit the fairway...consistently at about 260 yards.

This club would not be considered a 'bomber' as most of my drives are now in the 255-265 yeard range, but they are straight and I can finally aim! I love this club and it will remain a trusted weapon for some time to come.

As most have mentioned in their reviews... this is a carry club. You will get very little roll with this driver as it has a high trajectory and the ball will simply drop from the sky when it's finished. I was able to offset that a bit with placing the ball a bit behind my leading foot.

If you are a mid-high handicapper and looking for a trusted, reliable game off the tee... this is the club for you!

This club is awesome. I recently bought this wood when it was on sale for $160. It is very forgiving and easy to get up in the air off of the fairway. I am now hitting it farther than my driver off the tee, which is making me want to get a burner driver. I would recommend this wood to players of all skill types!

I ordered the burner right after the price dropped to $200. I got it custom made from taylormade with the aldila nv-65 stiff shaft, loft, length & lie standard.

I had tried this club with the stock superfast reax 50 shaft. That shaft might be fine for higher handicappers with slower swing speeds, but the high torque makes the ball flight a bit too high and way too inconsistent for those with a swing speed over 90-95 mph.

With the aldila, the burner has a nice mid-low ball flight with less backspin and ballooning than any other driver I've ever hit. The ball carries extremely far. It's very forgiving on mis-hits, in distance and direction.

My previous driver was a ping g5, but I've tried pretty much every driver out there from cleveland, ping, and taylormade. If you tend to draw the ball a bit more, the tour burner might be better for you. The Burner has a closed face, and it's easy to lose left if you have a swing built for a draw. But for those straight-ballers and faders out there, this is a fantastic club if you love bombing it down the fairway. And now that the price has dropped to $200, this is a fantastic value compared to all of the $300 and $400 drivers out there.

I loved this Driver last year, but I hit a very high ball and just hit it too high. I have since gone to a stronger grip and I got on the launch monitor last week and I was launching this at 13-15 degrees with very good distance. This is the best feeling Driver I have hit in many years and I try alot of Drivers.

This club is absolutely awesome. I bought the driver and played with it the first time yesterday. I never even hit it before playing a round and by the 2nd or 3rd hole, I was crushing drives straight down the middle. I typically have a pretty bad slice. I never sliced one ball all day. I could usually drive 275 on a good day, but with this driver drove a green on a par 4 (320 yds) in the air and it stuck. Unbelievable club.

I just purchased this driver a few days ago and i already love it! I was recently playing with a cleveland driver but while looking at this driver and hitting it a couple of times the salesman told me my swing speed was to fast for a regular flex so i decided to buy this. Before i was hitting my old driver 250 with a tiny fade now im hitting it 275-280 with a tiny draw. I really am looking foward to showing this to my friend.

Well after reading many great reviews about the senior Taylor Made 13* Draw Burner i decided to buy one.
Took it to the driving range and was amazed at the distance i was hitting the range ball.
I normally play with an offset Ping G5 driver and have to say i`m getting about 50yds further with the taylor made.
The Pings in the cupboard and the Taylor Made is staying in the bag!.

This is an incredible driver!!! Driving is one of the best parts of my game, although with my MD driver i was continuously hitting it off left, but now that i have this new driver that is no longer a problem. It is amazingly straight. I was usually hitting the ball around the 200 yard mark, but with my new taylor made i have not hit the ball under 230 Yards yet. Although i would recommend teeing the ball up quite high, so that the top of the ball is just above the head of the driver, but don't tee it up so high that you'll completely sky it.
So I would recommend this driver to anyone who plays golf!!!

recently at a golf camp with my friend, he decided to borrow his steb grandpa's tour burner... we both tried it out and i easily get 15 more yards off of it than i do my old R510..... i also didn't slice it anymore which was a big help in lowering my scores
